    Quick Visit

Quick visit to Barranquilla and managed to squeeze in two sessions. Went to Zero Stress hoping to find Nikol who I met there previously. She wasn't there so went with Jimena, a hardbody morena with a cute face. Decent service but not as good as Nikol, wouldn't recommend. Also went to Elite Spa and didn't find any girls I liked. Walked over to Experiences Spa, Calle 62 #43-34. Very basic place with small rooms, three girls working. Went with Kiara, a lovely morena with long, silky, dark brown hair, a great smile, a few extra pounds in the mid section, but overall a firm and nice body with super smooth latina skin. To me her look was a bit indigena, a bit mulata, and a bit girl next door, with no makeup, all of which I really like. Outstanding service for 90 k COP for the hour plus a little more for a great BBBJ. No BS, all sorts of positions, no rush, and very carinosa. Standing doggy in the mirror with her beautiful hair trailing down her back was memorable. Finished with an intense orgasm in prone doggy.

I do mostly casas during the day and they are a $3 cab ride away.

Yeah enjoy your trip, its a fun little place to get lost for a bit.
Thanks for the info, I'll check both hotels and mall area out tonight on the internet. Will plan vaca after my booster shot in late October. I usually don't get flu vaccinations but for the COVID I'm going all out.

Will probably do a Barranquilla / Santa Marta area combo trip.

Not sure what you mean about thin info on the board. I'd say this board has the best info of any town in Colombia! The map is great, the town is easily accessible and affordable. Easy to get around.

I would actually argue the charm of the town is exactly the things you mention.

There are no gringos so the treatment I get from chicas and around the city in general is the best I've encountered in Colombia.

Spanish isn't exactly required but because it is borderline necessary, it keeps away all the sex-pats that might cause the "gringo tax" (rip-offs, overpriced, bad service, hotel joiner fees).

Lack of attractions (beach, etc) keep the focus on just having fun at the casas.

I get 10 x more attention from non-pro local girls in Baq than in Medellin.

Net, I love Barranquilla. Being a foreigner in town, you're sort of a celebrity..

It's always my first stop in Colombia.

In fact, I'm flying there in a few days for the first time since before Covid! Can't wait to get back!

Hopefully I can add to the "thin" list of things to do.

Common theme in reports. You guys have to realize that most people that go to these places do so either at lunch time when they have a break from work, or right after work before going home. On the weekends they are home with their families or girlfriends. Great report!

    Barranquilla Today

Just finished three days in Barranquilla. I imagine during the famous Carnival, the place is hopping. I found it to be a sleepy little town that is not quite set up for gringo tourists. Over the course of three days I only met one guy in a bar who was from the US. I was flying solo the whole time. Lots of things to do if you are Colombian and like to shop and have money for fancy restaurants down by the Malecon. If you are a sporting gentleman like me, well, the pickings were slim. Add to that the torrential rain that fell on Thursday, few people were out.

Day one: Thanks to the Map and the google prompt "strip clubs in Barranquilla" I found a few places. One, Cheaters, is gone. Looks permanently closed. Around the corner is Siglo XX1. About eight girls total. Huge place but empty. And no one dancing. Of the eight, I found one cutie who looked like a Nickelodian bopper. Great smile. 4 K for my beer. 18 K for her Bailey's. Live and learn. 80 K for 20 minutes. I said I would prefer 30 min, she said that since it wasn't busy she could hang out the extra time. We went upstairs. In the room she strips and loses all her cuteness. Nice body, but no passion. Not a lot of experience and very quick to change positions. She promised kissing, but did not deliver. BBBJ not permitted, acc. To her. No amt. Of money would change her mind. The woman running things banged on the door at 20 min. Apparently she wasn't in on the arrangement me and this cutie made in advance. Great face, slim body, but lousy performance. In the end I was rushed and barely finished. Not the way I want things to end.

I went across the street to Templo de Amor. Even fewer girls in there. Like four. No one dancing. A taxi driver said there was also another place across the street, but I never saw it. Against the advice of the taxi driver who dropped me off, I walked down the street trying to see if there were any SW about. No one. I sort of got lost and although I was on streets with lights, it was stupid to be out there in the dark. So I cabbed it back to the area around La Troja. A bar called La Hoja is right next to Troja. Went upstairs. Two girls, only one of which was conscience. She looked pretty good, but not good enough. I thought I'd come back another day but I never did. Instead I went across the street to an upstairs bar called Templo de Rock. This is just a bar. The music was awesome for about half an hour, then the DJ put on Hard core Gangster rap in Spanish. Nothing at all like the posters of Phil Lynott and George Harrison on the walls. I told the guy behind the bar I was leaving because the music changed. He apologized and said the guy with the computer makes the choices. Well, fuck him, I said to myself. No street food around, so I hit McDonalds and called it a night.

Day two: In the morning I did my compulsory Covid test at Laboratorio Continental, which is on Calle 80. Near my Airbnb. Easy in and out. Later that afternoon, I began my hunt. On the Map there's a section below Plaza de Paz and further east, near San Nicolas church. Carrera 39 is supposed to have SW hanging around. I decided to do an extended walk to try to see if there was in fact SW in this town. I began walking in daylight so I could see a church or two and perhaps find some good street food, and have beers along the way. There is a very busy Calle over on the other side of the Plaza de paz. I walked down this busy road and stopped in at every girlie bar I came across. There were about six of them on that street. I think it's Calle 34, starting at the Paseo Bolivar and walking south. Every girlie bar was just a small bar packed with hefty girls just sitting around. Ear splitting music played making it impossible to talk and set up any kind of transaction, even if I was taken by any of these big-boned ladies. But I had a beer at each one of them and kept crossing my fingers that some featherweight might show up. I walked quite a bit, feeling safer since it was daylight. When the street turned to bus stations and factories, I turned back and went up towards Cra. 39 where the map says there are SW. Well, yes. There were a few. They were in bad shape, however. A few decent ones walked by but they did not give me the time of day. A bar on that corner had a bunch of men drinking. I went to the one opposite, bought some beers and sat outside waiting to see if any girls showed up. While I was drinking, it got dark. I didn't notice. I should have been paying attention as I was the only white guy, or tourist, in the area, sitting outside on the stoop drinking a beer. But there was enough activity for me to feel safe. Nobody bothered me, which in a strange way made my lonely. Sometimes the conversation of a creative tout can be amusing. But not here. The ladies across the street were calling to me but I ignored them. Again, nothing you want to bring home to mama. The street food ladies began grilling nearby and that was my new focus. Great grilled chicken and toasted arepa. After a while, I walked down towards Cra. 40. There on the corner is the Buddah bar. It was in a video some guy made on youtube. I came across this when trying to map out a plan for this adventure. Anyway, pretty good bar. Filled with girls. I was tempted to take one, but no one was really interested in me. I found out later that the girls all "work" there and do not leave with men unless they feel like it. And if they leave, there is a 40 k charge for the house. The security guy explained this to me. He kind of chuckled because he knew what I wanted, but then led me to believe that these girls don't generally do PxP. I sat across the street and sat on the curb a while and struck up a conversation with a beautiful young girl. The best I had seen since coming to Colombia. However, she was young and, based on her attitude, was sure to disappoint. She did give me a price of 50 K for 30 min, and all covered all the time. I tried to be conversational and get her to smile, to maybe break her down a little. She wasn't in the mood. It is strange to me that these girls don't put any effort in to try and earn money. Perhaps they are just not into middle aged white dudes. Whatever the case, it looked like a long term project, which was a bummer because she was small and slim and had a great smile. When she allowed herself to smile. Her cute friend next to her wanted no part of me and ignored me completely. It was more effort than I was willing to put in, plus I had been drinking all day and it was time to find release. A girl across the street, maybe a seven if I am being generous, met my drunken demands and we went to the love motel next door. 10 k for the room. 50 k for the girl. 20 k more for BBBJ (she let me know while she was doing it that the girls around here do not suck off guys without condoms. I suppose I needed to be appreciative.). She turned out to be friendly. A Venezuelan with a kid, 3 years in the country. It was quick and dirty but it got done. I taxied back to the Templo de Rock. The music once again started off great. Velvet Underground and the Bangles of all things. And then the asshole DJ switched to heavy metal that was so hardcore I had to leave. A lot of screaming, and not by any recognizable bands. Hit McDonalds and went home.

Day three: After an afternoon at the Malecon -- don't look too closely at that brown water in the river -- I couldn't decide where to go. I liked the challenge and atmosphere of the Buddah bar, and the possibility there would be more SW out on a Sat. Night. But I wanted also to hit a couple new places. On the way to the Zero Stress spa, I changed my mind. I was already dark so I taxied to Buddah bar. All the girls in the bar were wearing Buddah Bar Medellin soccer shirts. I had a beer and sat. None were interested in sitting with me and few even made eye contact. I can't imagine they get paid much. They take drinks from the men and maybe dance with them and party in the bar. That's about it. Sure, some associations may lead to extended relations. But that's clearly not what this bar is set up to do. Across the street was one of the cute girls. The mean one. I said Hello,. She said Hello,. Then turned away. The water girl was more friendly and all I was giving her was 500 pesos. I walked back towards Cra 39 to see if any SW were out. Only the ones in bad shape. Much older women or ones who appear strung out. One girl I had spoken to the day prior grabbed my arm as if we were old friends. She looked high. I gently told her I was too tired and moved away. A much nicer girl was sitting on the curb and we got to talking. Her name was Mai. She said her father (or grandfather?) was Italian. That's why she was light skinned (she really wasn't). She offered her services but would not budge on the condom for Oral, so I thanked her and moved on. She would have been a nice time, I'm sure. She even told me I wouldn't regret it. But I was determined to not have johnny rubber in my hands tonight. Well, things turned less hopeful when I saw the street food ladies had not showed up and the small bar on that far end of the street was closed. Sat night, right? With no street food to fall back on, I returned to the Buddah bar and hung out in front, hoping to find Ms. Right. Very strange to see that there were more SW out the night before (Fri) than tonight. All this talent inside the Buddah bar but no one looking for action. Except me. I took a cab to Zero Stress, the massage place, and that was like night and day. A real old fashioned top quality shagging. Carla was soft spoken and attentive. For a small fee she would bypass the rubber for oral. That went on for a while, then we did a number of positions, with me finishing on her "nalgas". She had a great body for a 23 YO Venezuelana with one kid at home. A really sweet girl. 80 K for 30 min plus 40 k for the extra service. I would repeat with Carla as she was a solid 8 and liked watching in the mirror. Afterwards, a short walk to the Templo de Rock. Again, the Heavy Metal was blaring. I was about to leave, when Led Zepplin came on. These videos were pre-MTV and I had never seen such raw footage before. After that it was more Heavy Metal, some in Spanish. I saw a few long haired guys in the crowded bar and figured that they must like it. So I had no room to complain. Just much too hard core for me. Ossy was tame by comparison. However, I recall two nights ago the customers were rocking out the The Animals and Tears for Fears. Anyway, it bothers me because the place has such potential. Called it a night and hit McDonald's on the way home. My flight to BOG leaves early. And then it's back to the US.

To sum up: There is probably a good reason why the information is so thin in the Barranquilla thread. If you want to go native, this may be a good spot for you. Just don't expect to find anything like Plaza de Botero or Santa Fe happening here. And you'll need to speak Spanish and be patient.

    Some pices in Santa Marta?

I will be in Santa Marta in September. Can anyone educate me on the prices to live in Santa Marta? For example: how much it costs to eat in a decent restaurant? How much a beer costs at the bar? How much it costs to fuck? Et. Etc.

    Thanks.

    Thanks

Will check those out too. Thanks!

If they reopen by October, I will prob stay there when I revisit Santa Marta.

Since I will be going to CTG the first week of my trip, I think a visit to these two other towns will provide a nice contrast. During my prior CTG visits, I recall hooking up with a few really hot chicas from BAQ, some of the best sexo from these trips. It's amazing to me how proficient some of these younger chicas are when they are between the sheets or on top of them.

Naturally, when the time comes, there will be a full report.

I have stayed in several very nice hotels (Barranquilla Plaza, Crowne Plaza Barranquilla, The Prado at Alto Prado and the Hotel Farranda) and like Viajero said, make your reservation for 2 initially and you should never have a problem. Barranquilla does not have the tourist traffic that other cities do so I think they want your business more than pissing you off by causing problems over chicas in your room. I am told that the Don Carlton is a hot spot for gringos but have never been there. It is directly across from the Centro Commercial (somewhat of a hotspot for day hunting regular girls off the radar). The first 3 I mentioned are very nice, higher end hotels with nice facilities and beautiful rooms. The staffs in all are very professional and although I am very fluent in Spanish they also speak English. I have a girlfriend there who likes to play as well and she has some friends that we entertained on several occasions but I also fish a bit on Tinder and had some amazing success with that app in BAQ. Another site that is wildly popular there is Seeking Arrangements and not to be overlooked if you use it. The is a large selection of user accounts in BAQ there and they are all very open to almost any arrangement you want to make.

The Hotel Farranda was a gem I found quite by mistake. It is a very nice boutique style hotel away from things. It has some decent facilities with a rooftop bar, pool and restaurant. The staff was extremely accommodating and we actually met several people there who were escaping the quarantine for a couple of days and we had a couple of incredible orgies in my room 2 nights in a row with 4-5 people waking up in the bed the next morning.

From BAQ I love to go to Puerto Colombia or Santa Marta for a couple of days and enjoy their beaches and the women there as well. Trips to the Malecon along the River Magdalena are a nice break as well and I have met a couple of hotties there too.

I love Colombia and since I'm a guy who doesn't like to be cold at all, the coastal regions of the country are the place for me. I'm not a big fan of Cartagena and its pricing structure when I can find the same quality and, to my taste, a much more gringo friendly population in BAQ. Or sure the sites are great but most of us are traveling for the main events and they are just as abundant and a lot cheaper in BAQ.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

I am in Cartagena now I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about it's beautiful here beaches open till 6pm...... everyyhing just shut down at 10:00 pm That's it no other problems at all. Everything is open but the late night bars.

Don't believe what you read in the paper.

    BAQ advice

For me, BAQ is a big, busy, and not all that attractive city, but I'm there for work, not mongering, so I'm not looking at it as a vacation spot. If it wasn't for work, I probably wouldn't visit. I stayed at the Barranquilla Plaza which has a pool and is pretty cheap. YMMV, but if you make a reservation for 2, you should be ok. Over the years, I've had maybe 6 or 7 girls there and have never been charged extra and have had no problems. Walking distance to Zero Stress, but you'd need a taxi to get to other spas. Often on doncolombia the review mentions if the girl is the one in the photos from another site like mileroticos, but, as you say, that can be a toss of the dice which I also try to stay away from. No harm in asking for photos. Andrea was indeed the girl in the photos. She's not drop dead gorgeous, but I found her quite attractive and we hit it off really well. Of course anything can happen, but I've been with at least a dozen different girls in BAQ and haven't had a negative experience yet. You might have to scroll down a ways through this thread, but you'll find the google map for Barranquilla spas and can check proximity to your hotel. Hope that helps.

However, I did notice today that there are several 5 star hotels at really cheap prices such as the Prado and the Sheraton. Low $40's. Are these hotels close to the spa action, like the places you visited? If a place has a nice pool, then I could see hanging out in BRQ for a fellow days, as sightseeing seems rather limited after my visit to Cartagena. And the prices you were paying for the chicas were very reasonable compared to CTG.

Also, wondering if BRQ hotels are girl friendly compared to CTG? The five star hotel I am staying in CTG does not allow unregistered guests. Period.
