I just spent an evening in downtown Barraquilla.
Elite Spa was open and a decent experience. Though of course they did not stick to the price claims they sent by WA. And the lady I explicitly had inquired for and made an appointment with was busy. Spent my time with a Venezuelan called "Valery" who is a very good kisser I think there was some sympathy between us.
A long further walk was pretty disappointing.
Cheaters and Siglo XXL were both closed. I hope this is temporarily. At least they still have their signs up.
A couple of ugly street walkers.
I was in one smaller place on Calle 45, maybe it was "Mi Discoteca". The only girl even worth considering was already occupied.
I could not find any of the places on and around Carrera 38. Either they are shut down altogether or they just had their lights out for today and are hard to see. Maybe Tuesday night is not the ebst night.
If there is anybody currently in Bar who wants to catch up, let us get in touch!

Hello all,
I am debating where to spend the last 2 weeks of February. Barranquilla seems very interesting!
Is it possible to have some fun there without good Spanish knowledge?
Greets.

Also: Pasteur Laboratorio Clinico.
200 kcop for the antigen test. They open at 630 am Mon.-sat and 8 am on Sunday.
CRA 50 no. 79-172.
They do not do the PCR test.
So far, 2 places have told me they do antigen tests, but neither has said they do PCR. Pateur Laboratorio Clinico said they do NOT do PCR, only antigen.
SO, still working on the PCR testing site. The anitgen test seems easier in Barranquilla so far. But I need to have both set up before I book the flight.
Also, Massage Zero Stress whatsapped me: They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Cra 46 #74-70.
30 minutes 70 kcop.
1 hour 110 kcop.
Trios: 150 kcop.
Domicilio: 130 kcop.
I had a few great sessions at Zero Stress when I was last in Barranquilla about 1.5 years ago. Assuming its the same there now: Highly recommend. They had some cuties with great service.

These places do all kinds of medical lab tests. You should be able to get what you need there. Walk in, get samples taken and wait for your results online. I don't know if their turnaround time is fast enough for you, though. Recommended to call ahead and make an appointment.

Laboratorio Pasteur Elite, Calle 80 #50-38, pasteurlab.com.

The Vegan House, CL. 70 #60-37.

Best authentic Italian pizza:

And try the Lebanese food at a number of Arab restaurants in the north of the city.

I may be able to head to Barranquilla for a few nights. Are casas operating? Anyone know what the scene is like there these days? Or should I just jump a local small plane to Medellin once I get to Barranquilla? I may only have 3-4-5 nights.
Thanks.

But it was interesting. Quarantines are being implemented in Colombia based on ICU capacity and what % of the beds in ICUs are being used.
https://medellinguru.com/coronavirus-hospitalization/
Bogota was at 81% (but I have read more recent reports of 93%.
Medellin was 87%.
Cali was 90%.
And Barranquilla was 60%.
So as you long as you dodge grenades, Barranquilla is the safest big city to go to in Colombia.
This is the best page for Colombian data and Covid:
http://www.ins.gov.co/Noticias/Paginas/Coronavirus.aspx
BAQ only has 18 people in the ICU (though it had only 11 yesterday) compared to 1231 in Bogota and 410 in Medellin.
So unless those numbers get much worse, BAQ is probably not going to go into quarantine.
