This morning a buddy that has deep ties in Barranquilla sent me this:

Hey breh. ATL dude in BAQ was set up. The chain thing was a distraction away from the chick. In that neighborhood for 4 months, they had many chances to target him. They waited until after the 690 million peso property deal went through. In that estata 1, maybe 2 area, there's absolutely no property worth that much. Everyone locally that I spoke to said the same. I know the area LOL. I'm speculating, but having only been in BAQ for 4 months, that chick's name is on the property and has access to whatever local accounts he has. Dude was moving way wrong, didn't understand his environment at all, and paid with his life.

I was told and read many times before traveling anywhere overseas to avoid wearing gold chains, expensive watches, and other items that might catch a thief's attention. I don't wear chains or jewelry anyway and leave my expensive watches at home and wear a swatch or similar style. Certain cities and neighborhoods within those cities are even more dangerous than most. I have passed through Barranquilla a few times but never stayed as it did not appear a safe place to stay or visit.

It's a real pity this happened to this fellow.

Lawyer chick that I mess with in Barranquilla just said they wanted his $550 gold chain and he did not want to give it up so they killed him.

The article mentions 'a chain', likely a gold chain the criminals were for as he resisted the robbery. Like always, there may be a completely different reason.

Good morning Spider, I noticed that not much is posted about Barranquilla and even less recently. I love the coast of Colombia for it's climate mostly. I know all the Americans tend to visit Cali and Medellin of even Bogota but I love BAQ. I am a bit concerned that most of the clubs are closed and what I will do for a lot of my time since it's not a hugely historic city and not a lot to do but cruise the malls and parks and meet tons of beautiful women but HEY, Life could be worse. LOL.

I know the country very well and my fluency in Spanish gives me a leg up but I'd love to be in touch with some Expats living there and see what adventures and opportunities may be available.

I will be a new and consistent poster on this string.

Maybe he was not blending in. Mfs better learn to act broke or these people will see you as worth more dead than alive. I don't think I have even ever seen a house in Barranquilla that could cost $191,000! Maybe the ones on that cliff that overlook the water, but not in the normal city area.

Hey thanks for posting. I have been trying for several years to get back up to BAQ for a visit. It just hasn't worked out. Its a great place to meet women. I'll be following your posts. Very little intel leaks out of there.

Good morning all fellow mongers.

I have been a heavy poster on the USA side (under a similar username) for several years however I haven't posted there much over the past couple of years due to a heavy work load and not much action.

Anyway, I have booked a trip to Barranquilla and Cartagena starting next week and returning in mid April. A little background, I once lived in Barranquilla and Puerto Colombia for a year back in the heyday of the Narco Trafficking and murder spree in 1980. I was a kid then and in a totally different situation than today. I came to love the country, the culture, the food and especially the women. I haven't had the chance to return for many years and now it's time. I will be moving back in the future to live out the rest of my life and have some plans to build up some very lucrative business ventures there once I make the move.

This trip has a duel purpose in that I will be sussing out several of the opportunities available and tasting some of the local fair. I have made contact with several ladies and set up everything I intend to do in that arena. As has been written here many times, mongering is somewhat legal (stay in your lane and you will not have any problems) and the culture is extremely open to it. The women a smoking hot and exude sexuality. They dress and makeup to highlight their bodies, they carry themselves as objects of a highly sexual desire in all of us guys. The Pandemic hit Colombia very hard and has created a scenario where even the most cautious and stable of them now are willing to enter into some sort of exchange for services making this an incredible time to visit.

Also, I am fluent in Spanish making things much easier for me than for most. The sounds of a hot Colombian woman moaning and speaking dirty is music to my ears. The menu of what is available there is WAY better than here both in terms of the class of woman and what they are willing to do. Many (if not most) are very bisexual and willing to accompany you in 3 somes (or moresomes) hotter than anything you will get in the states for the most part. And they aren't worn out drug addicts (although some are and a lot of the Prepagos do use and even offer something called a "Fiesta Blanca" which is sex with stimulants of your choice (Be very careful if partaking in these as many things can go wrong). Be extremely safety and security conscious at all times when going anywhere for these types of trips.

I have seen all the posts about testing before returning and that was one of my big concerns before leaving. Another was getting or not getting "Travel Insurance". Any thoughts on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

I will be a consistent poster here with updates of my trip and ongoing info for those seeking travel info in the future.

I did not try any further institutions.

Had a Tinder date last night which turned out to be a Freelancer. Had her with me until this morning. Was sweet and easily open for BB, but simply not hot enough to spend more money on her. And not interesting enough to spend more time with her (my Spanish is unfortunately limited and her English non-existent).

Another Tinder Date tonight, who was really just a date, not pay6.

Will get on a bus to Santa Marta tomorrow. I really want some nice beach, that is at least as important to me as mongering during this trip. Particularly as I am probably spoiled by living in Germany and having been to the Philippines often. For the "good" girls in Colombia it seems like insider connections and / or much time is needed.

To Barranquilla about 2-3 weeks ago. I found a flight and was ready to go--messaged around to get pcr and antigen tests in order--so I could have a plan. Next day I tried to book the flight and it went from 350 to 720--so it didn't happen.

But I did message Zero Stress as part of my prep: they responded quickly and said they are open 24/7--doesn't seem like much has changed there.
