I see many posts about when flights will return. It will surely be staggered. Just read the news and posts on ISG. Should be in this order: buses between cities, 2+ weeks later domestic flights, 3+ weeks later international flights. Seems as if people believe ALL flights will open at once. I highly doubt that. My guess is that some of the 12 passenger mini vans are running between cities already.

I got a flight to BAQ for $58 one way on Spirit in late June. Airlines are selling tickets. It may be pushed back, but I am hopeful this will happen. BAQ has not been hit as badly as other areas.

My cheap hotel in the seedy area started at $8 and has slowly raised their price to $12. Hotel Doral that kicked me out because they were closing has reopened. Hotel San Francisco has reopened and a few others. Several others I see are still closed. "sold-out" means it is closed. Best guess is 15% have reopened. Paradise Spa just reopened.

If you contact a girl on prepagos, skokka, mileroticos and they reply with one of these. It is a SCAM! This is the fifth one now.

I do take an exception about your comment on the chicas in Cucuta, my experience is that they are (1) not nearly as hard core putas, actually my experience is that the Vennies are sweethearts IMHO and (2) much less concerned with how much money they can extract from you such as if your in other large cities (IE Cartagena or especially bar Gusto in Park Lleras / Poblado).

85% of the street girls are off the streets based on the 2 days I saw them before curfew and the 7 separate days I checked after the curfew. All the bars are closed. Only Relax and Zero Stress Spas are open with 4 girls each with one new girl every week (small rotation based on those girls finally needed to come in for some money). So I had to breakdown and work the photopregos, mileroticos, skokka game. What a colossal waste of time and energy but no choice.

I tried contacting 40+. Several posts are girls that work at the Spas. You contact them and they direct you to contact the Spa. Then there are the girls with 2 different posts using different pictures, names, and phone numbers. 2 girls post in Barranquilla when they were in Cartagena and the other Medellin oops!. 3 girls would not come out and play because scared of the police curfew. I tried 9 days later and still no. Nearly 30% never even read my message asking for price and if we will use their site or mine. Several send a copy of prices and services. But when I ask for their location and what time to visit there so no reply. At least 15% of the girls are 5 years older and 20% fatter than their pictures.

My Whatsapp profile picture was a cartoon picture. I thought let me try my real picture and see if I get more replies. Oh, one of the 3 girls supposedly was staying at a high end hotel (red flag) about half a kilometer from me. I said why prepay anything when I can be there in 30 minutes. But still no. She was asking 150,000 which includes transportation to pick me up (RED FLAG++! I told her 200,000 at my place and she said yes. I never did it and never would.

I like the yellow Taurine energy drinks. SPEED sucks! Spartan is nasty! The cheap one in ARA and Justo why Bueno are good.

Tortillas wrapped in banana leaves are great. If you like the grape leaf wraps in Arabic or Greek restaurants you will like these. You do not eat the banana leaves. The taste from the leaves soaks into the corn meal when cooking. But be careful. One place used corn meal and had chucks of chicken in the middle of that. Great. The other place used rice and had a chicken leg with the bone in the middle so mad. Some have beef or ham in the middle. The color of the string lets them know which is which. Two different colored strings means mixed meat.

Here you can get out. I always need change and money so I make trips to the ATMs, bakeries, grocery stores. I carry a bag and walk quickly by habit and alone so the police have not even talked to me yet. Half the time main street and the half side streets. I walked around 4 kilometers today, 5, 9, 5, 3, 4 km in the past 2 weeks. I made a mistake and stayed at the edge of town for 2 days and did not go out once. Nothing was around there. My Airbnb denied me. I think they were scared because I am foreigner. I had to make a last second find on my phone and had connect problems so just grabbed something.

I think I will move on to Santa Marta in 2 weeks if possible.

I feel for you, LoveItHere69. You should have got out of Colombia before 23 March. What the hell were you doing travelling to Barranquilla while the world is going into crisis and shutting all doors?

Now you are stuck here for months, until Colombia reopens its borders and flights resume. Unless your government organises repatriation flights, and you can get to Bogota and on a flight. But it's probably too late for that now.

How long the borders will be closed is anyone's guess. I would say at least until the end of May. But it depends on how the virus situation develops in the whole world.

Arrived in Barranquilla. No Didi so took Uber to my hotel. Guy at reception said he could not rent room to me and I had already reserved using Agoda.com. He explained the 14 day quarantine. I explained I had been in Colombia for nearly 2 weeks and showed him my passport entry stamp. He said they had an English guy at the hotel with the virus under quarantine. He said he would check with immigration. I am shitting my pants thinking I may be spending the entire day trying to find a hotel that is not closed and will let me in. 40 minutes later 3 immigration officers and to tourist police are there. They talk to both of us and tell me I have to stay in my room for 3 days to finish the 14 days. I had a 4 day reservation. They had a breakfast of bread, scrambled eggs, a processed ham slice, cantaloupe, and coffee. They had a pool I could not use. On the 4th day I was free and at 11 am went to go swimming. He runs out and tells me it is closed. Later at 4 pm I wanted to go out and sit by the pool on my computer. Now the entire pool area is closed. But to be fair I think I was the 2nd to last customer there and tomorrow was the last day because they were closing the hotel. I have searched the hotel on Agoda.com and it does not appear on their map. You need to search by name and then it says it is sold out. That is just public relations. Better to look sold out and popular versus closed because no customers.

Spent most of my last day at Ayenda Doral Hotel searching for another hotel to stay at. Ayenda Aquarius the next street over was also closing. Plaza Ventura, Platinum Barranquilla, Esmeralda Inn, San Francisco, Hotel Colonial Inn,. All closed. Most do not show on a map search or the list search. Need to search by name. They say full but are closed. Funny I keep extending my stay 2 days at a time because I am unsure what will happen. Anyways it is funny when I read the "Only 2 rooms left! This hotel has about 30 rooms and only 3 are occupied. I walked into Skal Inn to check it out since they had a pool. Guy said he was not closing when I text translated. Pool was small and dirty. Walking past him to leave he said he was closing and he had just put on a mask and gloves. Hmmm.

97% of everything is closed. Lines of 15 people at most grocery stores Ara, Just why Bueno, Olympic, Exito. Only 10% of items have run out.

Been ordering from Rappi. Found a Chinese place I like so have ordered from them 5 times so far. Problem is that they and many others do not accept cash only credit card. So I am having trouble getting small bills since the ATMs only spit out 50,000 bills. Rappi what a pain in the ass to sign up. Had to sign up on my computer. Have their special code sent to my phone. Then enter it into my computer. Trying to do it on my phone did not work because when you switched screens to get the code their app would start you back at the beginning thus sending another code. Think circle jerk. Amazing! Other problem is the screen is not updated. Order being "processed" for 40 minutes to infinity. Next thing you know he is at your door.

To get small bills I have to go to grocery store every 2 days. But gives me a bag with receipt to prove I am out for a legit reason so I can walk around a bit. Curfew to head home is 3 pm but most stores open later like 5 or 6. I learned to run to the store at 3:30 no line.

Have only spoken English to my Airbnb guy for 20 minutes out of the entire 3 weeks I have been here. Except talking to myself but those are short boring conversations with no substance what-so-ever. I do not think I will make it through this. I truly believe my brain will have the consistency of runny oatmeal in under 2 months time. Might have to go to a Hostal just to chat. I am thinking about a place with a pool but I am betting their pools are closed.

Hard to tell distances, do not know how much traffic there is, and each town has different pricing. I had to use Cabify which was more expensive and pretty sure only uses taxis or mostly taxis.

Stopped by a bakery. Texted the female worker I wanted to try one of the guava pastries. If good then I will get several and some other items. Owner guy saw me and said I could not eat it there and kept talking. I stopped munching. I said "No Espanol" and the guy would not shut up. I was going to try to explain but his non-stop talking I gave him 500 cost of the donut and walked out. Like my eating one donut is going to get others sick.

If I contact 100 women on Skokka, Mileroticos, Photoprepagos I get a 50% response rate in Cucuta, Cartagena, Barranquilla which is 50 girls. The ones that do respond 60% are older and fatter than their picture. So I start with 100 girls and end up with only 20 that are what I want. Massage Parlors / Spas are 50/50. I only went to Zero Stress this trip due to short trip, fatigue and doing some other non-monger activities.

Overall had a good time in Quilla and would return but maybe not for mongering.

First day with Venie chica in the evening was a ton of fun, laughter, fooling around and great sex. I kinda felt guilty for the Colombainanas to so went back the next day and selected one that caught my eye the night before (Paola I believe; taller and hot looking).
