I can only tell you that THAT agency you name (www.alegrate.com) is the one who didn't even send an answer back to me!
So if they don't bother to answer some (basic) questions I SURE not want o deal with them about women....!!!!;-)

The airfares seems a decent level. I can tell you that Peru is a LOT more expensive...:-(

31 bucks seems decent for such a good,save and GF-Friendly(?) hotel! Allthough if she only stays 1-2 hours (I don't realy beleive in "allnighters") i do NOT rent the suite or the double...LOL.
Normaly I don't am too picky about hotels. Don't need too fancy stuff as I am used (an ex-marine) to "basic" things.

BUT at this time as "LULA" probably wins the elections in Brasil....tne Real is getting down the drain (towards the $ and the €) swiftly. Maybe also Brasil is a REAL good destination for a real monger like I am???

Hotel Puerto del Sol in Barranquilla can be negociated down to about COP90,000 (US$31) a night including breakfast.

The international phonecard concept is not well developed in Colombia. However, there are many telelocutorias offering reasonable tariffs for international calls.

A bus ride CTG-BAQ is not too risky. Both roads between CTG and BAQ are under the control of the army/police 24 hours a day so it is reasonably safe.

Airfare CTG-BAQ with Aires is COP64,500 + IVA + airport tax = COP80,000. Plus you may need a taxi to/from airport, another COP20,000.

The bus fare is COP5,000.

A taxi, door-to-door can be negociated down to COP80,000.

in your post you say "calle has a agency called Allegro, top shelf women...". "Calle" means "street" in Spanish. Are you talking about the city Cali or what? There is an agency there, called "alegrate"(www.alegrate.com). Is that the one that you are talking about? How do you know it's "top shelf" women if you don't even know how to spell it's name?
Also, most of us here speak English, why would I for instance pay some Colombian teacher to teach my girl friend/fiance English? It doesn't make any sense to me.
I do need good reliable unbiased info on Cali and its marriage agencies, so maybe you can enlighten us with some more details. Thanks. J.G.

I hardly think it's peso's because then it would be about not even HALF a US $....so I guess this is a GRANT a day!!!! Also it wrote: 5 star...so it must be 1000 US bucks a day...!

I do not pay more then 30 Us $ for a decent hotel. don't need Jacuzzi or other degenerated stuff.....period.
For that money I expect a CLEAN,SAVE and GF-Friendly hotel.

Most agencies I emailed didn't even bother to answer my questions. They just send me some standard BS about how good their agency is...and how good,faithfull,honest blablablabla their women are....YEAH RIGHT!
Some agency send me a stunner profile (20 yo)...LOL...And I said NOBODY under 25...;-)

guess I will have to do it witout them agencies. Maybe ask a cabby....lol.

Check with the locals. Last year the BQ to Cartagena road was safe during the day but not at night.

Also consider taking the plane to CTG to BQ. It doesn't cost much more than the bus and takes less than a half an hour.

The agencys are legit and the women very much so legit.
In Barranquilla it would be rare for you to find a english speaker so be prepared to fork out 50. a month for her english classes and
there is one teacher that they all swear by that can be trusted to make sure that the girls actually attend those classes and he guarrantees 90 days and she is speaking above beginners levels.
He wants a flat rate of 350.
A taxi driver that lived in Miami for a while and is fluent in english can take you wherever you wish. his name is KIKI, but is pronounced KIKAY, telephone home, 370-2369, cell,635-3815.
Work, 360-2323, offers 24v hour service, make sure you negotiate his rates up front as they can vary.
Puerta del Sol Hotel is girl friendly, telephone356-5006, Nelly Cristina Gayon can get you that english teacher if you are interested.
She coordinates client services at the hotel, speaks perfect english, single 1 kid, and personally, I would not fuck her.
Many agencys use this hotel as a meeting area for their clients, and you may also scoop up some 7-9 strays there on a regular basis.
Calle has a agency called Allegro, top shelf women, 65. per day in home, and as many female introductions as you can handle while you are there.
The down side of these women at the agencys is once you fuck them, you cannot get rid of them as they are latin, and emotional and well, you know what I mean.

Barranquilla, Colombia: July 2002


After about a week in Cartagena, I decided to visit Barranquilla for a weekend because of it’s’ proximity to Cartagena. Something about visiting Shakira’s home town appealed to me and Hunter agreed to tag along. We shared a cab ride with TSM’er Sailor who turned out to be a pretty nice guy. The trip there was uneventful (it took something like 2-3 hours and the highway there appeared well-maintained for South America) and we had to pass through something like 3 police/military check points.

Hunter and I checked into Hotel Princess in El Prado and were charged 75,000 CP a night for nice (if small) rooms with nice amenities (air-con, cable tv, frig, agua caliente, etc), while Sailor decided to stay in another hotel. The reception clerk at Hotel Princess assured me that they were “chica-friendly”, however, I didn’t get a chance to check out this claim.

During my first night in Barranquilla (it was a Friday night), Hunter and I became separated (long story) so I ended up checking out the scene a bit solo. I checked out a couple of disappointing regular discos which were within walking distance of Hotel Princess in some mall, before heading out for the supposed “ground zero” for quality pro action in Barranquilla, “Lusitania” (not certain of the spelling). I walked in during a strip show and the cover charge was 10,000 CP. The chicas wanted 130,000 CP for all night or 80,000 for 1 hour. I heard that you might have to pay a barfine also but it might depend on how much you drink and at what time you want to leave with your chica. There were probably 20-25 girls working when I entered at about 12:30 AM. Even though there were 5 or 6 chicas beyond the quality of Cartagena at the time, I declined to leave with anyone. I guess I am too used to Cartagena prices. I am not sure why they would charge MORE in Barranquilla but that was the case at this place. And the beer was 10,000 a pop for a small can of Club Colombia cerveza so it was not a very cost-effective place. I was the only gringo in the place but Hunter informed me later that he had been there earlier but balked at the high drink prices and took off. Apparently, Sailor was there earlier also and took someone out with whom he was quite satisfied (he told me later). But, interestingly enough, we were all there that night but at different times and all missed each other. In the morning, I woke up to find a note placed under my door that said, “Don’t like Barranquilla. Returned to Cartagena. –Hunter”. So Hunter took off rather quickly but his legend continues….

Not wanting to do Barranquilla alone again that night, I got a hold of Sailor and after hitting a Mexican restaurant, we decided to check out a couple of regular bars. We hit a couple in El Prado which were both fantastic and FULL of women this Saturday night. One was called La Quinta (more of an up-scale discoteca) and the other was called Tropical Cocktails (similar to the one in Cartagena and Medellin). I saw no less than 5 women that I would rate as 9+’s in these bars at a bunch of 8+’s.

Unfortunately, we decided (bad decision in retrospect) to hit other casas in Barranquilla instead of sticking around. We must have hit 6 or 7 other casas and the quality was AWFUL. Sure, the prices were cheaper than Lusitania but most of these women I would not have screwed for free. It was obvious then why they can (and do) charge so much (for Colombia) in Lusitania since they appear to have pretty much cornered the market for quality pros in Barranquilla.

I returned to Cartagena the next day while Sailor spent a few more days in Barranquilla before making plans to hit Cali. I was very tempted to join him since I’ve been to Cali a couple of times and loved it. However, I really wanted to hit Medellin and check out the scene there. When I returned to Cartagena, it was pretty much the same as before- slow for Cartagena. It was during that next week in Cartagena that I made up my mind (for sure) to journey to Medellin. I decided to go for 10 days which I figured would give me ample time to check out both pro and non-pro opportunities. Look for the last portion of my report in about a week which will describe in detail my Medellin experience….

Columbian women are numero uno!
3 days from miami and i speak no spanish, Stay at the Puerta del Sole hotel,94.00 per day, 5 star, breakfast included, translators on staff that will help with the communication issues.

I was skeptical to go at first, what with the reports and all,
you will not even know you are in a country of civil unrest when you are in Barranquilla, the women are beautiful, and inexpensive!

I posted the same question to the Cartagena branch. Have been in Cartagena long time ago but don't know Barranquilla. Is it good for girls? Where do I pick up freelancers? Are there any mid-range or budget hotels that you can recommend (girl-friendly)?
