Personally I recommend incall over all other forms of mongering, and this is one of the reasons.

Depending on the neighborhood, a lot of people leave their nostrils free or chin it, but technically you can get a hefty fine for that.
Honestly I don't imagine the police messing with a foreigner too much unless he's in a really fancy neighborhood and pissing lots of people off.

Posts: 2Going to Santa fe this week
I'm heading for the first time to santa fe this week as well. I have experiences mongering in south america but not in Bogota so this will be fun. Will do a write up of my experiences when I get back. For now I can say I will try and stay close to santa fe with the motels around. I took note of some of the ones mentioned here but do you guys recommend other cheap motels that one can stay nearby (I'm just mostly looking for a motel to crash because ill mostly be outside) . I'm from another city in south america so I think I can blend in pretty well. If anyone here is there for first time and doesn't speak spanish maybe we can meet up somewhere and help each other out, I can speak spanish naturally and don't mind helping others out in this place as well as have some company for when heading out at night.
For the person asking if ok to be out at night, I would say be careful and stay near lit / crowded areas and if you can go with someone. Or at least know where you're headed to because it tends to get sketchy at night at a neighborhood like this. I say that because I've been to other south american cities similar to this and there's always a few a**holes around looking for their next target but just try and blend in as much as possible and only carry enough cash to hold you down those few hours at night. I feel safe but that's because I look like I can be from there and if someone talks to me I can pass off as a local. Ill be getting there on Thursday and thanks for all the info you guys post on here it helps to know when navigating and blending in these places as much as possible.

And so I am clear to enter Colombia you need to.
1. Have a COVID-19 test that says PCR was the test given.
2. Fill out the information on https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.c...reregistro.jsf.
3. Download the app on your phone and fill it out (I Have not done this yet).

I have been to Jamaica and Mexico and of course in the US but internationally 85-90% has been in Asia. I watched a lot of YouTube videos and researched many websites on the areas I would be visiting and I have never felt unsafe or unsure of a decision to travel to a particular region or city. And then once I arrived I felt like I was familiar with area because of all the research. However, I don't get a real feeling of confidence of safety for an American in Bogota, at least not 100%. I am still wanting to travel there but I want to ask a couple of questions to the group.
The videos I have watched on YouTube about Santa Fe are during the day and night. It seems very normal to me and there doesn't seem to be anything to be afraid of but all of the videos seem to be from someone riding a bicycle instead of walking. Is walking not recommended. The US Embassy website lists Columbia as a level 4 -do not travel area because of crime, terrorism and kidnapping. Is that something you truly need to worry about in the city? Is safe to walk at night? Is it safe to be out at night? I prefer walking to get some exercise but I will use a cab if necessary.
I know that from reading through the last 3 months of posts that you guys are very comfortable being in Bogota and do not seem to be too worried about crime. I guess basically that as long as I don't do anything stupid and pay attention to my surroundings I should be able to survive without any incidence.
And then I really don't speak Spanish so how will that affect me with the local community?
Also, Woodman, I don't know if you will be reading this but I saw in previous post that you offer a tour. I don't know if this is an inside joke or something but if it is true I would be interested in talking to you about it.
Thanks guys. If anyone would like some info on Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan or Korea just give me a shout and I will be happy to help any way I can.

Police would sometimes ask random street girls cedulas, although it wasn't common. Also motels (other than working girl motels) in Santa Fe would ask for cedulas before admitting guests.

You will find it difficult to meet the type of girls who you can find on SA. Anywhere. A few are there for "mutual benefits" "no strings attached" and can be tempted for $100. Most want more (more than $$ a good time etc.) and it doesn't mean they feel they are "entitled" it means if YOU want to find one that you can only have sex with. You are wasting their time. (Yours also).
A Foreign Affair has organized tours, SOCIALS they say "With only 10 to 15 men on average, you will have more than a 7:1 ratio, and that is just the first night. Many of our clients will date two or three women a day and some will even date five a day. " It costs around $2,500 USD + .not including memberships and doesn't guarantee any phone numbers. Some of the women are models, a lot are real. Most are too old for me. The business model is for guys to find a wife. It works but it's expensive and very time consuming. It can also backfire. You might get laid (testing the merchandise). If there was a guarantee in life, LOL I would still be married to my model / x wife.
Another option for meeting beautiful young girls is going to the nightclubs and "gaming" them. The girls I would like are going to be surrounded by guys and difficult to talk to. (noise, friends, etc.) but it is possible, I have friends that travel the world teaching guys how to pick up these girls. They charge thousands. Also you will know nothing about the person till you "open" a conversation. It's mostly about getting laid often. The gaming world works but there are so many guys doing it, IMHO it will get old and backfire, making it more difficult.
SA in other countries is a lot different than Colombia, especially Bogota. Everywhere else it seems it's more about sugar daddy relationships, guys always paying (way too much) for limited relationships, "allowances" (stupid) & possibly sex. In Bogota (for example) , and other cities in Colombia girls are using SA for a lot more than just a SD. There are plenty of gold diggers but the ratio is still WAY in our favor. I have met professional ballet dancers, actresses, IG models, MILF's, students and lots of "normal" girls. There's a high percentage of girls you can learn about, meet and enjoy whatever relationship is mutual on there. Kind of a mix of a dating site and P4 P deal. Their's a high percentage of 8-10's who are real people and extremely difficult to meet elsewhere. For a high end GFE date or weekend getaway it's perfect. I'm still friends with the girls I met a year ago.
Actually I've found too many girls so it now becomes the challenge for me. Do I want more than sex? Do I want to start dating a 10 by asking her to fuck? Probably would backfire, maybe not. LOL Decisions that most guys will never face. What to do in Colombia? Do I have 5 / 10 rotating girlfriends / sex partners? Visit Colombia often? Sounds good but these girls are much smarter than the P4 P / street girls. Not easy getting them to be OK with that. So I'm grateful to be able to anonymously post here. I am grateful for the 10's I met on seeking during my last trip to Bogota. It's a lot of work, pipelining and maintaining conversations with some of the most beautiful women on the planet. But try doing that anywhere else. Who knows Elvis may have the best advice. Words of Love. "Take her somewhere she's never been before" and enjoy the FUCK out of it. LOL.
I have 2 weeks planed in Bogota, 1 in Medellin and probably will go to Barranquilla. Maybe a second trip soon. I'll probably date, fuck or reject 50+ 8's, 9's and 10's. Not counting any freelancers. Prepaid's, strippers etc. Nowhere else on the planet (well at this cost) is that possible. I must be crazy.

Well, moreso Saturday. At 1235 am, I've been reading the forum for a few weeks now, jumped on Tinder and have a few to meet. I'm a 40 something's, mixed guy, in pretty decent shape with, elementary level Spanish.
So I'm thinking of staying in Santa Fe, like somewhere where I can walk a block, grab one or two and bring them back to the room. Is that recommended? Oh, I have also been to Cartagena and Medellin, as well as other known mongering spots. And I'm from DC. Not scared to walk Santa Fe alone. Either case, I will probably try to stay at Hotel Europa, or Santa Fe Suites. Then get an airbnb in Chapinero or somewhere.
Any recommendations will certainly help. The hotels that I messaged all said they charge 140k per guest or so not allow them.

Everyone wears masks-- I wear mine on my chin mostly-.
The cops will shake down a gringo without a mask-- like those guys I was hanging out with a few weeks ago.

With that attitude it seems you will never come to Colombia again. Things have changed drastically. Before you can even walk into the airport you have to have that covid app filled out. You scan it and show it to the girl with your passport. Then you go to another lady for your sanitizer. You can no longer bring suitcases in the cabin on domestic flights. If it does not fit under your seat then you have to check it in at the check in counter. When I was going through security a minute ago I grabbed one of those things to put my stuff in. That lady about cussed my ass out and made me put it back. She has to put it under the UV light first.
