Sorry got two newbie questions to ask you Bogota expert's.

Just had my first night in Bogota after a very tiring journey, only had a few hours sleep in the past 48 hours but it's been worth it to get here.

Checked into the San Francisco hotel around 8.30 pm and was supposed to meet two wingmen from another forum to hit Santa Fe but they let me down. Would have hired Woodman had I known.

Got to Santa Fe just after 9, had some fried chicken and chips and something that was like a sweet potato and tasted amazing (any ideas what this is, not that white tasteless crap BTW).

Had a quick glance up and down the streets which looked safe and saw some cute SWs.

I have the Scotia Ultimate package and the reason I chose that one is no foreign transaction fees. I confirmed by checking my online banking and it shows $0 for service charges for any withdrawal that I have made in Colombia. Might be worth looking at the Scotiabank Ultimate Package. Maybe they hid the fees inside the actual transaction but it's what I have now here with me so it is what it is.

I will check it for sure. That might save me the $5 fee. My banks always say there are no fees. But they still charge 2. 5% on the currency exchange. The only way you know is to compare mid market rates on the day you have withdrawn money. Or the end of the day before, and see what the difference is between that and what they gave you. Sometimes they call it the bank exchange rate or something like that. But that is where they make their money.

Just a quick update for anyone interested.

Wednesday I took off from Mongering and headed to Centro Mayor mall and just did touristy stuff.

Hmm. The exchange rate you get from Scotiabank in Canada is always around 2. 5% less than the mid market rate for that day. They charge you 2. 5%, it is in all of their disclosures, and I am a Scotiabank customer in Canada as well. And they also charge you a $5 Canadian fee for any foreign withdrawals outside of US and Mexico. Plus whatever you pay at the ATM machine you use. If you use Scotiabank / Colpatria you may not have the ATM charge, at least I did not last year. And that really has nothing to do with Scotiabank owning them. Scotiabank doesn't give you any breaks if you have a card back at home. Just FYI. The Canadian banks all charge either 2. 5 or 3. 5% for currency conversion when you withdraw cash at a foreign ATM, plus the $5 or $7 fee.

I'll change my tune. Absolutely, the best use of your time and money is to spend it on webcam sites, trying to get models to agree to meet up with you once you're in Colombia. Why go to free websites like Mileroticos or Photoprepagos and find girls? Why go to strip clubs or to Santa Fe, where you can check them out in person for free, or for the price of a beer, when you can spend from $5-$5,000 dollars getting a WhatsApp number from a girl on Chaturbate? Why spend 15 minutes finding a girl who is in the business of selling pussy, when you can spend 5-20 hours a week looking at webcams, trying to find one that will agree to meet you, once you've spent enough money on her?

I was doing adult video chat before there were any webcam sites. I was watching webcams at least15 years ago. Over the years I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on the different sites. And that was before I was working for webcam studios.

What I did was stupid but I disagree about the reasons why.

Without getting into it too much, Mr E hit the nail on the head when he said those sites only work if you intend to meet right away. When you try to use it to plan ahead, you're just opening yourself up to deception and manipulation. They use that window to try and get as much from you as possible and guilt you when you stop coming to their room or sending them tips. They pretend they don't understand the difference between someone whos tipping them with the intention of meeting and someone who is just tipping to see a show. They act like you're obligated to continuously provide for them if they want to meet you. I bought one girls whatsapp and then she said her phone got stolen and she said she'd give me a good deal on her new number. Just bullshit like that. There's a lot of girls on there, some make a lot of money, some make very little, and their incomes don't seem directly correlated to their looks or experience. Sometimes there were stunners that only had like 4 viewers and none of them even had an account activated to send a tip. I didn't target the girls with a big following..

There's an old saying where I come from, "don't try to teach your grandma how to suck eggs." What that means is don't try to teach someone something when they have a lot more experience at it than you do.

Without retelling my life story, I worked in webcam, with webcam studios in Colombia. I shared an apartment with a webcam model. I met and talked to webcam models daily for nearly 1 year.

Unless a webcam model has reached a level of success where she can afford to go solo, she works for a webcam studio. If she works for a webcam studio she has a monitor, a person who is running TeamViewer and monitoring everything that goes on in her broadcast, that includes private messages, tip notes and even Whatsapp messages. Among other things the monitor is there to protect the studio's investment in the model. The studio pays the model a percentage of her earnings, usually 50%. If the model is using the studio's equipment and space to bypass the studio's income, the studio seldom approves of it.

The problem isn't the model telling her fan base that she fucked BigDick69 or whatever creative name the user came up with. The problem is the user telling everyone, posting pictures etc.

So the monitor is there answering PMs, running the chat, doing most of the typing, while the model is doing her thing. Do you understand now? Chances are slim that you were ever talking to the webcam models. You were probably talking to a 20-30 year old guy who gets paid 5-10% of what the model brings in. I'm telling you this because I have been in both positions, as the user thinking he was getting somewhere with a webcam model and as the monitor, playing the user to keep the tips flowing.

If you happen to get a model who is still in her first few months, not yet making any money, if she's working for a small studio, if she went from hooking to webcam, then you might be able to land a date with her. But the successful studios aren't putting hookers on webcam. They don't want them because they will quit and go back to hooking once they learn they have to work a regular schedule for months before they start making as much as they made selling ass. Again, I'm telling you this because I've dealt with it. Put a hooker in front of a webcam and she expects 100-200 k for every day she works and it doesn't matter how good she looks, she isn't going to earn that for at least 3 months.

If you're actually going to travel to another country and fuck the women there, every dollar you spend on a webcam model is wasted. Chances are you can find just as good or better once you're in country.
