I want to visit Bobota soon. I read a lot of your reports, thanks for them!
I will probably try Seeking Arrangements. My question: how high is the percentage of skinny girls there, who can speak English? From your experience?
Thank you very much!

Posts: 126The less disagreements, the better
I was reading the saga about Dania Suarez and the SS agents below. It essentially seems to be a disagreement about payment and services rendered. And in my understanding most of these SS agents ruined their careers (And marriages if they had them) because of a row about a few hundred dollars. Thye also messed up r&r for thousands of their co workers because they are now all under a microscope. As I stated before, it is my view that it is better to agree prices and services up front, ideally in writing (I. E. WhatsApp) to prevent this. I know others dissagree, but doesn't this saga support my viewpoint? Agreeing in writing also protect against false allegations.

The Colombian girl who flew into Bogota and spent time with me there in my last trip, even though I have treated her as a friend and her feeling towards me is mutual, I established the compensation of her time upfront before I agree to have her get onto the plane to see me. She has to take time off from work after all. Of course, I also mentioned that I would cover her travel expenses. I would say that she trusted me since she would pay for the plane tickets and all these transportations up front, and never mention even once about the payment after we met. It's funny how at one time, she would even offer to pay for the Mileroticos girl that we had ordered together. In a way, I made her feel like I am paying for her professional services like a consultant jejeje.
Having said that, I am still trying to learn more about navigating around scenarios where things may not be as transparent. Perhaps I can use the direct approach that Pussycat has used about making clear the amount that I would pay upfront. However, for scenario where I simply want a date to dine in a restaurant or go clubbing, with no mention of any gift or transaction and maybe ended up having sex after that. The next morning could make for an awkward situation. If the girls turned out to be civilians with a regular job, will they be offended if I hand them the money? If so, how would I know if the amount given is insufficient in her view that it offends her? What if she demanded a certain amount in which I deem unreasonable? I am visualizing all the potential drama and the headache. The truth is that I am actually a noobie on this front.

"Suarez claims, she stopped to buy condoms and told Huntington that if they were going to spend the night together, he'the have to give her "a gift" afterward. She says that when she named her price $800 Huntington didn't flinch. They continued on to the hotel.
Suarez would later claim that, had she been so inclined, she could have rifled through his belongings and obtained information of presumably vital national security. She speculatednot unreasonablythat this could have provided fodder for blackmail or that it might have been of interest to terrorists or organized criminals wanting to penetrate President Obama's security.
At 6:30 the next morningThursday, April 12 the front-desk clerk called Huntington's room and said it was time for his guest to leave. Suarez asked for her payment. "I tell him, 'Baby, my cash money,' " she later told the New York Times.
What happened next is a matter of dispute. Huntington's version, according to sources familiar with his claims, is that he never knew Suarez was a prostitute and he told her to leave when she asked for money. Suarezwho later wrote a book about her night with the agentclaimed there was no misunderstanding and that she had clearly set her price before she went to the hotel.
Suarez banged on the door of Bongino's room, across the hall, where her friendwho didn't ask to be paidhad spent the night. Suarez demanded that Bongino come up with the money to pay her. Suarez said that she threatened to call the police and that Bongino pleaded with her not to. He eventually went from room to room, asking his Secret Service brothers for "scoots," the term they use for local currency, or any US dollars they could spare. Bongino came up with $250 in mixed currency and gave it to Suarez.
During the commotion, a Colombian police officer, apparently stationed on the hotel floor, inquired about the argument and told Bongino he should pay Suarez. There are conflicting accounts about whether the police officer was advocating for Suarez or merely suggesting to Bongino that he give her the money to keep her quiet. But once she had the moneyabout a third of what she claimed she was owedSuarez left the hotel with her friend and got into a cab. They never reported the incident.
The manager of the Hotel Caribe, according to firsthand accounts, was incensed by a list of complaints about his boorish American guests. These didn't have to do with prostitutionwhich the hotel is accustomed to managingbut with loud partying at the swimming pool, broken glasses, and reports of dog feces littering public areas of the hotel and dog hair in beds.
My take on this is you had a ho who saw that she was not supposed to be in this guy Huntington's room and thought she could shake him down. The notion the police were on her side is not likely IMO. The police certainly were not going to support her getting $800 for a night. That is like 2 months salary in Colombia. The fact that Bongino's gal did not ask to get paid is a strong indicator that this guy Hunington's comment about giving her gift were true and also he knew how to use the lingo that he was giving her a gift and not paying her wage. Outside of letting her in his room, he really did nothing wrong.
You never say never but understand I was dealing with students, a woman who sold merchandise, an engineer, government worker. I thought that because prostitution was legal in Colombia that the stigma of being a ho was not as bad as here in the USA. I was wrong; it is worse. So any woman who says my price is not met would be stigmatized as being a ho. It really never came up in Colombia.
I was also at a Marriott hotel where I have elite type status. I had been in the hotel multiple times before with other women and had no incidents. I made sure to tip the front office people and the bellhop and called them by name so if there was an issue, it would be the nice gentleman who is a good customer with elite status versus a 2 bit ho. Most of the better hotels check the women in, check their cedula, and then make sure and call after to make sure there were no incidents.
Don't think just because you are in a foreign country everyone is going to take the ho's side. That is just not true.

Posts: 162These catfish types are all over every dating site I know. I now ignore any Asian ads that mention crypto. Another oddity is the amount of Chinese women with Spanish text in their profile. Small sample size so far, but those also appear to be scammers.
Unless it is close to where I physically reside at the time, I will not travel more than 30 minutes to meet anyone I have not seen on a real time video call. Just too much BS out there.

Catfishing in my understanding means someone uses a fake profile for the purpose of scamming.
I have never experienced this in Bogota, every girl I met seemed legit and in most cases looked at least as good as the photos.
I did find an apparent catfish in Mexico however. I started chatting with a hot Chinese gal in Guadalara . First of all, wtf is a hot Chinese gal doing on SA in GDL. Then guess what, she suddently started talking about investing in crypto currency. She wanted me to wire $500k to her fathers crypto outfit in Singapore so she can "Invest" it. It was a once in a lifetime, ground floor opportunity...lucky me?
Basic rule: if something seems to good to be true, or seems "Fishy" (LOL), it probably is.

Posts: 7Hi Elvis, thanks for your thoughtful insight, it make a lot of sense. I've possibly a dumb question. If you don't talk price beforehand in Colombia then what's to keep the girl from going after, "Oh, you owe me 2 million pesos, if you don't pay I'm going to the police. " This exact thing happened ten years ago in Cartagena and some guys got in lots of trouble.
