Yesterday I visited a Place called juan Pablo's Zhivago (name in the card) It s hidden not like the others I've been to that are on main roads. I'm staying at Grand House Hotel and the guard at the door directed me there, the place is almost in front of the hotel which was great! The girl behind the bar and the owner speak english which was very helpful when I started negotiating with the girls. The Place looks great and not expensive at all compared to others I've been to (Lalos and Lidos). The girl I took with me was extremely pretty and sexy, not to mention her group of friends. It was a really tough decision. Overall It was great. Great price, place and over 30 girls to choose from!

There is a Karaoke Bar called "Noblesse". You can drink, dance, and sing with chicas. A bit expensive like OTTOS. It is very very safe private room. Very clean. You can take out the girls.

I think you have the wrong idea of Colombia. It is not like Thailand, PI, Sosua, or how Rio used to be. You don't just walk down the street and chicks come up to you. In Santa Fe there are chicks hanging in front of the casas. And for the most part you have to speak to them first as well. The other places around the city are establishments where you have to go inside. And even then chicks don't just accost you.

Yeah but going out alone to bars and drinking is very risky here. It's actually safer to go to the straight up brothels because they have much better security.

If you're going to do that sort of thing, you should be accompanied by somebody trustworthy who knows the ropes.

Massage, coffee shops, shopping center, restaurants, Clubs, etc.

Does anyone know of any hotels in an area of action or close to massage parlors where one could safely walk. The kind of area where you could sit at a coffee shop or have a beer at an outside patio or street bar, walk to a restaurant. (ala Bangkok ). Santa Fe area doesn't sound like it. To many Zombies. Day or night. I've looked at Suites Real 97 and The Virrey and they look kinda isolated. It would be nice to be able to just walk outside your hotel and entertain yourself without having to cab it to any fun. I hate getting trapped in some way off hotel. I know you can stay here some casas, but that more of like a neighborhood area. You know. I want to walk outside my hotel with a cup of coffee and be propositioned within 5 minutes. 10 at most. I thought I saw on a map of hotels a couple on the outskirts of the "killing fields" of Santa Fe but this may have been like a Hilton. And I don't want to be the only one with a skank at the Buffet breakfast.

Actually Colombia is a Good Country for this sort of Thing. I'm a Gringo who lives in Bogota (1yr+) and there are plenty of independent girls to meet. And you can always get a girls cel for action later-

I would say as long as you can speak Spanish (even limited Spanish) and don't look like a mark- (but you can always hire a guide)

Has anyone had any experience with a short term apartment rental in Bogota? I've looked at the different websites where owners post. The prices seem reasonable due to the high cost of hotels. Are the guards in the lobby an issue, are there any places that someone has had a good experience with? Any to avoid?

There are several in a downtown "re-vitalization" area that look really good. This is in the vicinity of Calle 33 and Caracas. Anyone have any information on that immediate area.

Colombia is NOT a good country for this kind of action. There are places that have a 'reptuation' for that sort of thing but they are not among the safest places to go to. As a matter of fact as a foreigner alone in one of those places I'd say you're taking an enormous risk. Stick with the other countries if this is your thing.
