Does anyone know anything about buying an emerald while in Bogota? I'm not looking for investment grade. I thought I might be able to pick up a loose stone for a big discount of what it would cost in the US. Ideas? Suggestions? Or have any connections?

It is on the NW corner of 15 and calle 104. You cant miss it.
Up a dozen stairs and there is a walk around with Suite numbers. As you walk by you will notice some doors are open just a crack for the mamasan to look out. They windows are blanked out with paper with the suite number on it.
Just walk up to the door and the mamasan will open it.
It is very easy to acces.

Lots of phony postings here. Be careful when reading some of these reports. They are trying to convince you it is normal to pay outlandish prices so they can fix you up with their girls for hundreds of dollars a night and laugh all the way to the bank.
