How far (miles, km, time) is this area from the airport? Are any restaurants open so late? Isn't it freaking cold in Bogota in the middle of the night at this high altitude.

I would say its roughly a 25 min drive at night. Bascially a long road (Av ElDorardo) takes you from the airport to centro, and Santa Fe is on the right hand side. There are a couple of 24 hour McDonalds open, but restaurant wise, you will not find many others. PM If you need to.

Secure a driver, as I have a close friend who is a taxi driver, and he can show you around, while also taking care of your safety.

Sorry, I did not check where the Crown Plaza was. I assumed it was near Zona Rosa.

Just landed in Bogota. First time here and don't know anything about the place or what to expect. Been traveling nonstop the last week, and haven't had time to read up on the "newbie" info yet.

I will eventually get to them, but if anyone wants to give me a few tips or points about the place first; it would be appreciated.

I'm staying at the Crown Plaza and just looked out the window and saw an Alladin casino.

10 minutes. Restaurants? It's the ghetto. You should be able to find hot dogs and sandwiches and simple food of the like. It doesn't get that cold. Just a bit cool. A light jacket will do.

Yes, fully agree, Taxi to Santa Fe without ANY bags, and you should be fine. Also, if possible, try to hire the taxi for a few hours, this way he will go with you, added safety.

Going to Bogota for the first time with my friend. Both of our Spanish is considered poor.

Few questions:

How difficult will it be to find girls 18-20 yo? Any specific place any of you recommend?

Is "Mansion" a place I should definitely check out? Is it considered safe?

Been doing a lot of reading but it seems unclear what the general consensus for must visit in Santa Fe. Any guidance here of top 2-3 places would be helpful. Is it La paisis and Atunes?

Thank you very much to Toreador for the address of Colorin Spa. I had two great sessions at this place. As covered in Toreador's earlier report, they have around five rooms, the larger one at the back left is the best one, as it includes a large circular bed, which allows the girl to lie next to you. Some of the others only have a massage table, which is rather limiting in terms of positions.

Both girls I had here were very attractive, although both had the after effects of childbirth evident. The service was superb, as both were very eager to please and knew how to go about it.

Having only been in Bogota for a few days I don't have much to compare to, however this place was far better than the place next door (Avispitas). I would recommend it for a Colombia newbie like me. Language of course is difficult if you don't speak Spanish, but just write 160,000 on a piece of paper and then go with the flow.

The manager will bring girls to you one by one, they say their name and then turn around and leave again, so you do need to make a quick decision. Three girls were brought both times that I was there. If the large room is available you can decide to have two. You need to pay up front (after selecting the girl), but there was no indication that that adversely affected performance in any way.

They close quite early, this place is daytime only.

First the bad news, you are downtown, be very careful in the area specially walking at night. Don't.

The good news, you are a very short drive from Santa Fe, the red zone. Best places there may be Atunes and Fiebre. La Piscina and El Castillo are good but more expensive for the same quality women and service than the first two. However, I would not recommend going alone if you do not speak Spanish, and be careful even if yo do. Don't get drunk, always be aware of your surroundings always, watch your drink, and do have fun. There is lots of fun to be had.
