I love that Gary Groundwork and other posters are scared and talk bad about Santa Fe. That will hopefully keep it just how I like it. Not overran with overpaying gringos like Medellin and Tons of smoking hot chicks of all shapes and sizes wanting to get banged for $18. I'm a 39 year old gringo and been going to Santa Fe alone for 5 years. Hell yeah it's shady looking asf but the chicks are hot and I love it. Last time I missed my flight to mde on purpose to just stay in Bogota.

Yes the reports were wonderful. The only way I go to Santa Fe is to walk there from my hotel on Cra 13 AT NIGHT. LOL.

Problem is to find a safe taxi and willing to pick you up from Santa Fe at night.

There is a "cafe / bar" with table dancers called Sanram in Cedritos on Calle 140 and between Car. 13 and 15.

Does anyone know what kind of business this is? There are pictures of hotties dancing on tables on the building but is it a legit strip club?

Yes that place is a rip off. Lap dances for 150,000. And that's all they do.

Santa Fe is a hole. You don't want to walk anywhere there. I got robbed there and a friend got stabbed and almost died. Knife just missed his heart.

The area is full of dudes who are ladrones and skanks with STDs that will drug and or rob you at any opportunity.

But hey if your that desperate for sex.

I've spent significant amounts of time in Santa Fe, both day and night; I feel safer there after dark than during the day. After dark, there's a lot more people out and more police, security guard presence than during the day. You're safer in crowds than on lonely streets. And most people are just trying to have a good time. The only weird stuff I've seen is a few arguments, people threatening to fight, and a couple of foot chases. Perception of safety is relative, but those who think it's dangerous probably haven't lived in or spent much time in truly dangerous neighboorhoods, where guns shots are blasting day and night, and you expect to get mugged every time out. Sure, I speak Spanish and can blend in with the locals, so that helps. But Santa Fe is really a walk in a theme park. But if you want to play it extra safe, yes the clubs will give you the security you're looking for (just watch your drink). Chapinero daytime 'casas' are also a safe bet. Also, I don't take my phone to SF, as I don't need it and it's once less thing to worry about. Cell phones are attractive targets for thefts in Colombia, they will kill for cell phones here. Another thing: the sun rises and sets early in Bogota. Currently, the sun sets at 5:40 pm, so there's a lot of time for 'after dark. ' I don't linger past 11 pm as I don't have to since it's going on all day and evening.

Good advice not to wear shorts in Bogota. Not only will you stand out, but at night you'll freeze your balls off.

I'd say it was another successful trip. I spent a work week down there and got much busier than anticipated at work so I couldn't monger quite as much as I wanted. Still I spent a significant amount of time in Santa Fe and nailed 13 different young hotties. I stayed at the Tequendama because it is so close to Santa Fe and because the internet was great on my last trip. My Verizon Cell Phone stayed in VZW (wifi) mode the whole time. This time, my internet was terrible when I arrived. I was getting 2 bars even though I had an access point in my room. I asked for someone from engineering to come up and work on it. They did. They put me on a different SSID and I had 60-100 mb up and down for the rest of my trip. It was perfect.

Now, to the girls. I go for young, skinny girls who don't look too drugged out. I ended up finding plenty. Many who looked almost Indian. That fit my profile. The two main concentrations for me were the main block below Piscina. Calle 15-16, Cra 23-24 and the corner of Calle 20 and Cra 14 bis. I also found that there was a treasure trove of hotties a little further down Calle 20 toward Cra 16. Thursday afternoon and night, the selection was incredible. I was disappointed to see how early things slow down on Friday night. By midnight, the Calle 20 area was a ghosttown. Even though I got in much later than I planned and I had a shitton of work to do each day, I managed to nail 13 street girls over 5 full days so my numbers weren't too bad. On the gross side, I had a couple of girls who were either on their periods or started their periods while I was banging them. Not cool.

I had a Venezuelan girl from Venus who I've been chatting with since my last trip. I thought I would take her to Santa Fe Suites for an all-night visit. But after a daytime tour of the rooms, Santa Fe Suites seemed too much like a crack house. Worse than many of the short-time rooms I was taking streetie sweeties to. So we went to Amarte Suites in Chapinero for an all night in a love motel. It was alright. But the love hotel beds are NOT good for sleeping in.

I ate almost all my lunches and dinners at Voodoo burger and was never disappointed. I am as much of a white gringo as I can be and I spent hours walking all over Santa Fe. I never felt like there were any security issues at all. The only negative I did notice, and I'm not an animal rights person, but I saw people being incredible cruel and rough with their dogs. It sucks to be an animal in a third world country.

Anyway, good trip. And I can't wait to get back. Maybe next time I will check out Cucuta or Cartegena.

Just got back Sunday from a weekend in Bogota.

Stayed at the hotel San Francisco de Assis which is about 8 blocks from Santa Fe action. Basic economy for about $25 a night including breakfast. No ventilation or windows that can be opened in room, no AC or heat, but you may not need AC or heat because the weather is comfortable. Hot water in shower. Outside the hotel there are people sleeping on the sidewalk with blankets to keep them warm. Creepy men and women who look at you twice to make sure they themselves are safe. Hotel will call a taxi for you, otherwise public taxis you hail may overcharge or take the long way to destinations to run up their bill.

Saturday, before elections on Sunday, SF was closed. No alcohol after 6 pm. However I walked around Santa Fe before dark. Surprised to see two large vans of police near La Piscina. Door guard said they were closed, and cops were checking the men for arms, hand guns. Also there were pairs of army men on many street corners, with loaded rifles, clips in the chambers. Probably for the news media to show how the Mayor was protecting his residents, prior to the election the next day.

Also, dress in drab, dark clothes. No short pants, you will stick out! Do not have flashy or any jewelry, do not expose a cell phone or it will get grabbed by someone on a mortorcycle. If you walk around in the day time, try to find other Colombian people walking the same way and walk close to them, do not walk by yourself. I had one creepy guy stalk me when I went to Santa Fe alone during the day.

To them you are rich. They have nothing, or next to nothing and survival is all they worry about each day. Stealing from you means nothing to them, you have it and they want it. Other than Saturday, in show for the election, there are few police or army people to protect you.

Its better to go with someone to the clubs, but every one inside seemed easy going, wanting their drinks and women. Lap dances for 15,000 pesos, about $5. Upstairs sex for 80,000 about $27.

Have been to other locations around the world and Santa Fe zona de intolerance has the most concentrated site for the most women, that I know of, in the whole world. Well over 2,000+ women available.

Yes, many of the women are fantastic, all varieties, tattoos, fat or slim, sexy or ugly, old and over 18. Many of the door girls are obese, in my opinion, but most of the girls inside the club are very attractive, 6-9 on a scale of 1-10. It is incredible and fantastic to see the excitement at these clubs, but take a taxi after dark and follow these precautions. Your life is worth it.

Wanted to know if anyone has stayed at Bogota Hills, Hotel Europa, Hotel Casa Sabelle, Hotel Villa Karina, Hotel Torre Central las Nieves. I know Hotel Santa Fe Suite is girl friendly thanks to Woodman's post. Been trying to get in touch with hotel through booking.com but no answers. Are these hotel girl friendly or do you have a pay a fee every time you bring a girl. My airbnb said its OK to bring 1 girl for overnight stay per night. Its a condo no registration for guest but it has a guard. Also no addition charge.

Looking for wingman for my 10 day trip hit me up.

Found an Airbnb just off the main road by Calle 31. Wanted to know if anyone has stayed at Bogota Hills, Hotel Europa, Hotel Casa Sabelle, Hotel Villa Karina, Hotel Torre Central las Nieves. Are these hotel girl friendly or do you have a pay a fee every time you bring a girl. My airbnb said its OK to bring 1 girl for overnight stay per night. Its a condo no registration for guest but it has a guard. Also no addition charge.

I keep my airbnb and also grab a hotel room if I feel like it.

From memory, the hotel room was 30000 solo, or 40000 for unlimited girls all night.

My airbnb was only 5 minutes walk from there on Cra. 13 a ##28 but with the hotels so cheap I often take both.

I wouldn't bother with bookings (dot com), other than for research. I reserved a room at a Bogota hostal through the site for a small fee, only to find the hostal had no record of the booking when I arrived. Thankfully, they still had rooms avialable. Call the hotels and reserve directly, or use Airbnb.
