Yep, I have visited it once, it's on my FAQ: Disco bar Colombianitas Carrera 100#20C-04. Open daily except Monday from 6 pm till 3 am. No cover, strip show, 30 girls. Pricing is 70 000/20 min. But that is it, still not a reason to stay in Fontibon. IMHO. Except if you are in Bogota for other reasons than mongering, best place to stay is Zona Norte if you want confort and safety or Chapinero if you are on budget.

All of the casinos in Fontibon are just small ones with slot machines and electronic roulette not really worth going to imo.

There is a place in Fontibon with chicas. It is on the second floor of calle #17 around carerra #100, but they charged me 14 k for a water and the ***** waitress stole my change from a 20 k note so I haven't returned. There are a bunch of guys on the street that will cajole you to enter the bars. There are actually two bars side by side, with a chicken place downstairs, the other one only charged me 5 k for a water.

Just as an aside, now that Bogota is flooded with Venezuelan girls, prices have gone down some. If you were paying 60 k before, negotiate for 40-50 k.

I went to the Mezzanine today for the first time ever and found a true gem. I went to the backside, second to last door, and wasn't impressed, so I then went to the third to last door- and there she was. A 21 year old white cutie from Venezuela. She said she is leaving in a week to go back home. She had her brown hair in a shoulder length bob and a beautiful face and killer smile. 5-6 or 5-7, be cup, and not an ounce of fat on her. It is 80 for 30 minutes and it included a nice massage and completo. She wanted to keep kissing me and seemed to really enjoy it. Her awesome attitude made up for the fact that the session is in a tiny, but clean, room, with only a massage table (in the last door- I think it says 9 on it.) I am sad I won't be back in time to see her before she leaves.

My hotel is great BTW. It is called Hotel Los Balcones and is 40 k a night. I think they are chica friendly, most low budget places are. I haven't brought any girls back yet but one of the fellow patrons was accompanied by what certainly appeared to be a puta. Anyway the hotel is solid, flat screen TV, WiFi works in the room and is very good (had to move from the 5th floor to the 3rd floor though because while the WiFi worked for the first two days on the 5th floor it stopped working after that, haven't had any trouble on the 3rd floor). It's a nice area with lots of cheap restaurants. The only thing is it is a little away from the action. Relatively close to the airport as well.

I really don't recomend Fontibon. It's an industrial area far from any action.

You need an unlocked phone I think. The J3 has the capability, it's just that you have it locked to a network:

I believe you are correct, and thanks for your post. What you are saying actually supports my most recent research. The Samsung J7 is built with the capability to use either GSM or CDMA. It's just that Verizon blocks it to CDMA-only in the states. After you unlock it, the J7 will work on standard GSM networks just fine. **made a typo in my original post, bought the J7 not J3.

Also, my research indicates that the Samsungs are pretty easy to unlock and only cost about 50-60 mil to do so. This price is inline with what it costs in the DR & Mexico. My chica friend is already lined up to unlock the phone the same day I give it to her.

In retrospect going there was a mistake. The place wasn't that bad, but sitting in the brutal midday traffic for an hour in the taxi was the real problem. Also I am pretty sure the taxi driver ripped me off like 4 k. Whatever. So I get in there and they parade maybe 8 or 9 chicas in front of me. I picked a 20 yr old Venezuelan girl and paid 60 k for 40 minutes. She was quite attractive and petite. The service was nothing to write home about, CBJ, sex and then followed by a message. No kissing and she didn't like me touching her breasts. She was very attractive though. Tatiana was her name but if I could do it over again I would probably pick one of the other girls. At least we did bond and talk a bit afterwards so that was nice. The rooms are hilarious, just tiny little chubby holes with a bed. The couple next door were really going at it, so props to them I guess.

There is a strip club in Fontibon near my hotel so I will probably check that out tonight.

You can buy the J2 for less than $99 here in Bogota. With no 'unlock' problems. Don't bring the phones. Too much trouble to unlock. Been there. Done that. And no import problems in case you were searched at the airport (unlikely).

I just picked up a Verizon prepaid Samsung J3 here in the USA For $99 +tax. The good news is I'll be able to get 600+ mil COP in chica capital for it. I plan to give it to a Santa Fe chica I know, and in turn she will give me two all-night. Well, that's the plan anyways.

The bad news seems to be that the phone will not work in Colombia as only GSM based SIM cards work there apparently. Verizon phones run on CDMA. So I may have to return the phone unless somehow it actually will work there?
