The vocabulary doesn't matter, with poor spanish you will have the gringo rate. I would rather suggest to visit the places where you don't need to negotiate as you pay the house, not the girl. Avoid the high end clubs in north Bogota, for all others brothels in Chapinero or Santa Fe, you will be fine.

Although I concede you are a legend around here the vocab does matter. I have poor Spanish but learned enough from this board to negotiate the going rate. I too would like to see a list of common phrases used. I'm not too picky with what comes with 30,000 cop but wouldn't mind more knowledge.

Actually that area going south on 13th there are several cheaper hotels around about 8 or 10+.

There are 3 right near a police substation-- at 13th and 23 d.

I stay at the Oceana Comfort sometimes. It is a great hotel at a relatively cheap price. Free breakfast and a short walk to Santa Fe. I just wish their shower was bigger. They only have 1 elevator. One time it went out and our room was on the 10th floor. My girl finally decided to take the stairs. I stayed my happy ass on the couch in the lobby until it got fixed.

It's definitely not Club Social Privado. The sign of googlemap is still existing, but Colombianitas is the name on their presentation cards.

Yep, I have visited it once, it's on my FAQ: Disco bar Colombianitas Carrera 100#20C-04. Open daily except Monday from 6 pm till 3 am. No cover, strip show, 30 girls. Pricing is 70 000/20 min. But that is it, still not a reason to stay in Fontibon. IMHO. Except if you are in Bogota for other reasons than mongering, best place to stay is Zona Norte if you want confort and safety or Chapinero if you are on budget.

Not true. There is actually plenty of action IN Fontibon. There's one great spot right on the main drag,(cra 100) but the name escapes me. It's not hidden though; it's a second floor.

All of the casinos in Fontibon are just small ones with slot machines and electronic roulette not really worth going to imo.

There is a place in Fontibon with chicas. It is on the second floor of calle #17 around carerra #100, but they charged me 14 k for a water and the ***** waitress stole my change from a 20 k note so I haven't returned. There are a bunch of guys on the street that will cajole you to enter the bars. There are actually two bars side by side, with a chicken place downstairs, the other one only charged me 5 k for a water.

I went to the Mezzanine today for the first time ever and found a true gem. I went to the backside, second to last door, and wasn't impressed, so I then went to the third to last door- and there she was. A 21 year old white cutie from Venezuela. She said she is leaving in a week to go back home. She had her brown hair in a shoulder length bob and a beautiful face and killer smile. 5-6 or 5-7, be cup, and not an ounce of fat on her. It is 80 for 30 minutes and it included a nice massage and completo. She wanted to keep kissing me and seemed to really enjoy it. Her awesome attitude made up for the fact that the session is in a tiny, but clean, room, with only a massage table (in the last door- I think it says 9 on it.) I am sad I won't be back in time to see her before she leaves.

My hotel is great BTW. It is called Hotel Los Balcones and is 40 k a night. I think they are chica friendly, most low budget places are. I haven't brought any girls back yet but one of the fellow patrons was accompanied by what certainly appeared to be a puta. Anyway the hotel is solid, flat screen TV, WiFi works in the room and is very good (had to move from the 5th floor to the 3rd floor though because while the WiFi worked for the first two days on the 5th floor it stopped working after that, haven't had any trouble on the 3rd floor). It's a nice area with lots of cheap restaurants. The only thing is it is a little away from the action. Relatively close to the airport as well.

I really don't recomend Fontibon. It's an industrial area far from any action.

I believe you are correct, and thanks for your post. What you are saying actually supports my most recent research. The Samsung J7 is built with the capability to use either GSM or CDMA. It's just that Verizon blocks it to CDMA-only in the states. After you unlock it, the J7 will work on standard GSM networks just fine. **made a typo in my original post, bought the J7 not J3.

Also, my research indicates that the Samsungs are pretty easy to unlock and only cost about 50-60 mil to do so. This price is inline with what it costs in the DR & Mexico. My chica friend is already lined up to unlock the phone the same day I give it to her.
