What are you talking about? A while back a guy was saying that Uber would not go there. Now you are saying that taxis do not want to go there. Well why is the neighborhood full of taxis? I have never had a problem getting a taxi, Uber, or walking to or from Santa Fe at any time of the day or night. Never followed by weirdos, never drugged, never robbed. I have probably been there the most out of anybody besides Woodman and BC. Never saw anything that made me say I better get away from this place real quick or I better not come back to this place.

My mistake
You posted about an incident on facebook, but it wasn't you. Kinda thought you were too savvy to fall for that.

Many creeps are annoying and some are dangerous, you do not know anyone there, so how would you know? Better to go with a second person, or not stray from the taxi cabs. The more you walk around the more you expose yourself to theft, knifes, robbery, harassment. Especially if you look like a foreigner.
Never happened to me so far and I look like a foreigner. Are you going there with a 25 k USD Rolex watch, Gucci clothes, a new iPhone 13 and various gold chains and diamond rings?

I don't doubt that is a bad area in the sense of the word. But I would not classify SF as a "No-Go Zone. " Heck, most of us in this forum have been there with ZERO issues.

If Santa Fe is one of the world's toughest no-go zones, then I'm a "tough guy" then because I been many, many times LOL! Yes, what a joke!

I appreciate your maps and hard work. But Santa Fe sucked for me big time as well. I never felt threatened or in danger, but action wise 4 out of 5 chickas did not do well or did not do at all. They kept asking for more and more cash once in and 8 K paid for a room, they basically were asking for more money for something they agreed to beforehand, before we got into room. All 4 provided shitty experience, 1 of 4 decided to do nothing at all unless I pay her on top. I wasn't going to fight anyone for $10-$15, but it just didn't make sense to me to go back to SF. Some of that BS I could attribute to being gringo and newbie and poor Spanish speaker. But after the last such encounter I just bailed and went to use casas in Chapinero. Set price of 40 K for 30 min (which is often less or the same as SF chickas charge, but no negotiating needed, no BS or upcharges once in the room like in SF), BBBJ was 20 K extra discussed or tip, services were decent and chickas in casas were fine. Not all the casas had one I like, but once you walk a bit around Chapinero you could find the one you like. No offense, but SF is not for me. Did I enjoy Bogota? Si. Am I planning to go back? For sure. Would I hunt around SF? No way, casas in Chapinero is the way to go for me.

If your looking for cheap and not very picky, you'll be fine. One thing you should be very aware of and that's how dangerous Bogota has become. Especially SF. Even Woodman, a very street savvy monger, has been a victim of the Devils Breath. I have traveled all over Central and Latin America and have been in some tight situations. However, I have never been afraid to walk the streets in Chico Norte at night but I am now. There is a very distinct difference of the situation pre and post pandemic. Thieves have begun to invade restaurants in Parque 93 and rob diners. Bogota was once a wonderful place to visit and unless Lopez gets a grip on the crime it will be the end of Bogota. I have first hand knowledge of friends who had bikes stolen in broad daylight, just pushed off the bike at gun point, more than once. My novias father was shot in the leg and head and spent 2 months in a coma because he didn't have any money. My girl, her mother and brother have been victims of stolen phones and cash many times. Be smart, don't get drunk, don't walk back to the hotel alone, don't wear jewelry etc. Etc. Be safe.

I used to go to casas but there weren't more beautiful girls then in SF. And I always paid more then 40 k. In SF you definitely need Spanish skills. I almost never had these issues that you are telling. The girls did great service in 98% of the time. I tip the maid always 2000 pesos and most of the time they knock on the door a few minutes later. I honestly don't go to any other place than SF when I want chicas. Happy to hear a few casas for 40 k and great chicas from you and I will surely check them out.

Anyone have any thoughts on this recent documentary?
Seems a bit over the top to me.
