This is why I now prefer Bogota. The people tend to be a bit more educated or have more class sorta speak.

I feel like at this point in medellin almost every girl will have some background or history with prostitution. And that will simply never work. Their minds are already too corrupted and damaged.

Like most guys on the board I repeated the same old mantras, "there only working girls" "don't fall in love with a piece of ass" "If you fall in love in Colombia, your falling in love by yourself. ". bla bla bla but beware Latin Woman make amazing wives.

Of course those mantras are needed to be used for hookers. The problem is when guys only go out with hookers then they may fall like that, trying to substitute the hooker for a normal chick, because frankly everyone needs or wants love. And they also do not realize regular people who are not hookers do exist. They live through the hoarhouse and think the entire world is the same. When you get out and meet and build relationships with some normal people, you no longer need those mantras.

My first trip to Colombia was to Bogota, in 2008,13 years ago and I have been going there for 4 to 5 times a year, sometimes more. Met an amazing woman, 5 years ago thru a girl in reception at my hotel. On this fateful trip My wingman canceled last minute so being by myself I ask the receptionist if she would like to go to dinner, she had to work but introduced me to one of her classmates. That was my lucky day, a beautiful, very intelligent 4. 6 GPA STEM major. No makeup, no silicone, dosn't smoke or drink yet extremely beautiful. And she taught herself English BTW.

She applied for a 10 year visa a few months after we met and was instantly granted a visa. We have been alternating visits back and forth since. From a good family, poor but hard working. A family I will be proud to be a member of next year when we marry and live in the USA after graduation from the University National, When I first started mongering many years ago, thoughts of meeting a woman of substance like this wasn't even a thought but life can throw you a curve now and then but you never know. So after many many trips to mostly Latin American countries and many many women, I met the one. I always bring back around $1 million COP with me so on my return I have plenty of funds for the first few days without having to worry about exchanging dollars.

I totally agree. I bring my leftover COP back home and use it on the next trip. I've got about $100 worth in my drawer right now. Next trip I have to get rid of the coins. Perhaps remember to carry a handful with me each time I go out and give them to the first mother holding a kid and asking for help that I see.

I'm not about to count out change to pay in cash for a beer!

Had a great time in this city, visiting about a month after my first visit to Colombia in Medellin. Mostly stream of consciousness and random thoughts follow.

Tantra Spa and Mezzanine. 1 session at each place. Good one at Mezzanine, mediocre at Tantra. About 10 girls at Tantra, 7/10 max. Didn't even ask for lineup at Mezzanine as I was happy with the first girl I saw.

Eroticas Bogota. Used them 3 times, got the girl I asked for only once. However the two replacements were both more than acceptable and matched the body type, natural vs. Enhanced, services, and price of the ones I asked for—not sure if this was deliberate by the agency or I just got lucky. All arrived around 10 minutes before / after the scheduled time. Whatsapp receptionist was responsive. All the girls were early 20's students, provided great service, enjoyed themselves (or put on a convincing enough act to be indistinguishable from the real thing), went to the gym and were fit. Two had no kids, one had one but I couldn't tell. Bodies 8-9/10, faces 7-8/10. Would use this agency again despite them not sending who I asked for simply because the quality was so good. Would definitely try some other agencies as well. I think Bogota is good for escorts due to the size of the city and the competition so if you're willing to pay more than brothel / club girls you can have a very good time.

Ibis Museo. Great location with oxxo, banks, crepes / waffles, and coffee less than 5 minute walk, clean, hot showers, relatively quiet. Walked 10 minutes to official Claro store for SIM card since I was worried my old phone's IMEI was locked from my last Colombia trip—the employee there said she registered it for me. Brought girls back to hotel twice. First time was no problem, second time reception called me saying something about an extra guest. I told them I had no problem before, they said something I couldn't make out, and hung up. Girl showed up a few minutes later and said she had no problem. So not sure what happened. Second time was a few hours before checkout deadline. I had initially reserved the room for 2 guests. Next time someone stays there and brings chicas back, let us know if there are any problems. Because apart from that, the hotel was great.

Santa Fe at night. Took the Woodman tour, friendly helpful guy with a lot of knowledge. Definitely helped me be more comfortable there because it is a very sketchy area. By myself, I only felt relatively safe on the streets that were busy with people. Dark streets with few people I purposefully avoided walking down. Police vehicles patrol regularly. My trip was during the week so I didn't get the full effect, but even then it was a huge number of sex workers. I can imagine how wild it would be on the weekend. The SF clubs were all fairly similarly set up as a standard strip club / brothel. I had no problems getting Uber to / from SF and my hotel.

Bogota. Cool and mild, not much rain while I was there. Traffic as bad or worse than Medellin and driving just as chaotic. Took Uber / didi everywhere, still cheap. Only found the time to visit two museums, Gold and National. Both worth the visit and next time I'm back I'll go to the ones I missed as there are many. Finally tried crepes and waffles, now I see why it gets so busy. El Dorado Airport took forever to get through immigration for my departing flight, reminds me why I leave more than enough time for the airport so I don't have to stress as much.

Will I go back? Yes. Bogota or Medellin? I liked them both, but my next Colombia trip (whenever that will be) will be to Bogota.

Chapinero, in the 2nd half north within 10 min drive of Zona Rosa / T is where I'd recommend if you want to party with non pros. I had a great safe time in those clubs bars as a clear foreigner with weak Spanish. Tho unless you are Casanova may be tough to find a non pro relationship in 4 days as the 20's crowd were mostly in groups. If your girl has a legit ID, pro or not I'd imagine the hotel is ok if you're not blatant. Martial art is good, but can only do so much if you're sucker punched or 2+ guys. I'm somewhat built and box but was still high alert from Zona Rosa to SF. Situational awareness, that 5 seconds before is more important if you need to put space. As well as not sticking out or not looking lost. It can be jarring when that 1st group of meseros swarms you. I only drank water in SF as alcohol hurts my performance & kept interactions for the bill low.

I booked the hotel. I'm staying at the Four Seasons. I'm not bragging but I sleep on the floor at my house. No back issues or anything I just sleep better that way. Unless I bring a chica back to the hotel I'm sleeping on the floor at the Four Seasons. I talked with them and it's a $100 dollars to bring a guest. I go to Spanish Church in the US. I plan on attending Church somewhere in Bogota on the Sunday. I train Krav Maga and I don't have any illusions that I'm tough. I'm humble and if I get my ass kicked it wouldn't be the 3rd or 4th time. I'm worried about getting killed. I'm going to talk to the concierge as well I'm sure they can help me.

I'm going to try my Spanish and just be a gentleman. In my opinion Colombian women are the prettiest in the world. It's also pretty on the inside and out. Even if I don't hook up (I'm betting I will) maybe I can get their number and come back.

I'm going to Bogota in a month. I need help please. I'm looking to stay at a nice hotel that maybe doesn't allow Chicas but is in the happening area. My theory is that if I meet a girl I will just take her to a love motel. I'm not opposed to actually meeting a non pro and having a relationship. Yes I'm crazy. I will be in Bogota for 4 days. I'm looking to practice Spanish and learn about Bogota. I study a Martial Art and I'm going to contact a school in Bogota and request to take a class or if that's not possible at least watch. I'm cautious about Bogota and all the dangers but I live for adventure and I'm going hell or high water. I'm reading every post here and will circle back. I haven't drank alcohol in a while. But when I get to Bogota I'm going to party a bit, not stupid drunk and I don't do drugs. I believe that eagles fly alone but I'm not opposed to making friends.

So it was burning in the sense of wasting, it was the purpose of the trip. And I'm glad I did because I ended up having a much better time at SF the 2nd time. I'm just giving my report. I have an fee free ATM card that I can use at any airport ATM when I land so there's no benefit for me to sit on $100.

What I tried to point out is the advantage of keeping enough pesos for the taxi ride from the airport. After waiting forever to get away from customs, I don't want to wait in line at a airport ATM. I have had to put up with locals using 2 or 3 ATM cards as each one is short of funds. You don't have to sit on $100. A little over $20 gets you a taxi from the airport.

You did a good job with your reports but don't take it so personal when fellows respond to your report.

I don't understand why you want to burn the last of your dineros. I just left MDE with about 350 K. On the next trip whenever you take it if you kept pesos then you could skip the ATMs at the airport.

Under 50 K for a taxi in Bog and 98 K for one in MDE. The bonus for me was I got my pesos at around 4800 for a dollar and now it is just over 4100 per buck. After all if you kept 100 K it would cost you a little over $20 US money.
