I paid the dumb, tourist, gringo tax on everything. My pride was hurt until I realized that amounted to like $150 USD over 3 sessions. A bargain for never feeling even remotely unsafe or out of my league.

For what it's worth, I'd say don't come to Bogota on a budget unless you are very seasoned and confident. If you have a little cash, you'll be totally satisfied. No need to go chase trouble to save a few bucks if you have it.

In Lido and the other high end places in street 94 and around the girls would come to you when they are about to close the place for the evening and offer to come to your hotel for the rest of the night for much less than what Lido charges. A few years back when fees were around 400 K + 150 K for the room, they'd come and say that they'd go to your hotel for 200 K for what was left of the evening. I also got phone numbers once and met a really stunning 19 why / o next day during the day in a motel in street 63 for 150.000. She was so beautiful and rather inexperienced but I enjoyed that.

Go to Santa Fe. You would have to leave out and go through immigration and security to the international side anyway.

You will be coming in on a domestic flight and have to go through security and immigration to get into the departure area for international flights. I think they suggest a minimum of two or three hours. Not sure what your airline requires for check in and all of that for an international flight. Which won't leave you much time.

So really depends what day and time you arrive.

If you arrive during day there are daytime casas for business men. Except Sunday.

I think some here know about casas near the airport-- I seem to remember reading a post about, in Fontebon?

Not really up on the casas as I never really go to those anymore as I live near SF and it's enough.

I do know La Mezzanine, Many guys here can help with other casas.

Also traffic is a factor, rush hour and all that.

Also you can go to Santa Fe. There are SGs and also during day Atunes is a daytime club.

A little curious, the two sessions you mentioned came up to around USD $300, what's with USD $150? I've never done it but USD $25 per day for car and driver seems awfully reasonable if he is at your beck and call for the day.
