To go back to the United States or Canada. Or many countries in Europe, you have to get a test in the country you are leaving from, before they will let you board the plane. They won't let you on the flight if you don't have a test from the last 3 days. So if you've been in Colombia 3 days or more, that means you need to get tested in Colombia.

Why do you make tests? I'd like to understand.

You need a negative antigen or PCR test to go back to the USA. I had spaced out getting one until the night before I was scheduled to return to US. Luckily Synlab at the Bogota airport opens at 6 AM every day and I was able to get the test prior to my flight the same day. The cost of the test (antigen test) was only 110 COP (about $27) and they emailed the results about 1 and a half hours later. I have medium level Spanish but I will say some of the paperwork was a little tough to figure out.

With about 3 hour to kill at the El Dorado airport I will say they have a lot of good food options there compared to some other airports.

Why 15 years always in Santa Fe and not in Medellin center plaza Botero?
