I didn't like Texas either if it's the one at the corner with the intersection, the only club I visited in SF and MDE where the waiter literally took a lady and pushed her to seat next to me in a way I felt embarrassed for her. Corona was also more expensive 35 mill I think. I went twice around 3 pm and I didn't like any (about 9 girls on Thursday the first time and 4 girls the second). It piss me off when they don't let you drink yr beer in peace.

My tip is to break your 50's and 100's at a local OXXO. Across the road from the Ibis Museo there's one so each day I would get a water and candy and pay with a 50 or 100 and they happily give change back. Always try and pay with 10's for drinks and at the most 20 mil. If you go higher then that the mesero will typically disappear and have to find change. Once at troya I saw my guy walk up to the bar to get change, they told him no, he then walked out and about 10 minutes later came back with 35 mil. Should have been change of 40 mil but I didn't complain as who knows where he ended up going to get my change. Anyways, point is don't pay for 1 x10 mil beer with a 50 or larger. You'll end up having to remember who your mesero is otherwise.

You can also make change in Santa fe at all the little corner stores, they're reluctant in the morning to break big bills but by the end of the day they appreciate having large notes and dumping some 2 mils. The guys running the corners love the big bills too but you'll get the nastiest 2 mil notes you've ever seen.

Yep. The waiters at Troya don't appear to be uniformed employees, but freelancers who are allowed to assume the role of waitstaff. Another problem with Troya is that when I went to take a piss, someone had taken my beer away and another party was sitting at my table. Troya is a fun place, but you are really exposed there.

I think it was back in 2017 when I was in Santa Fe, I also had some clown on the street direct me into one club whose name I can't recall (it was pretty gritty) and take my drink order once I got seated. Then I got a drink from an actual uniformed waiter and he charged me 3 mil less! That pissed off the clown who directed me to the club (actually he misdirected me to a different club, that's why I don't talk to guys on the street now) and told me that I had to order drinks from him. I ignored him, got another drink from a waiter before I eventually left and found the place I was looking for.

But it was last November that I got ripped off at the California Club. That place is the worst. The waiters, who wear varsity jackets were pestering me the who time I was there. I couldn't enjoy my beer and watch the show without my waiter them asking me every other minute if I needed another beer or if I wanted a girl, yet. I got so tired of it, I closed my tab for one beer gave my waiter a 50 k note (it's all I had, but I had fully expected to be spending more money there) for the one beer I had. They accepted cards there but I definitely would not give plastic to anyone down there. So the waiter disappeared and didn't return with the change. I got tired of waiting on my change, the guy wasn't in sight and it became obvious that he wasn't bringing the change back. When I walked out, I looked up at that balcony above the dance floor and saw the waiter and his pals laughing at me. Assholes. Don't go there! I had forgotten that I went into that place back in 2017 and had a disappointing experience there, back then. Again, I would suggest everyone avoid the place. It's bad news.

BTW, I went back to the Pussy House earlier the same evening. They have professional waiters but the place looked rather tired since I last visited in 2017. It was a nice club, back then. But, there weren't any attractive girls there on my last visit, which is a sad thing in a country where the women can be so attractive.

Everyone else has said the same thing but just to be clear, The only difference between HK in Tijuana and the clubs in Santa Fe is that there's no hotel that you can stay the night at attached to the club like Hotel Cascadas.

Everything else is the same. You negotiate with the girls downstairs in the club and then you go upstairs to the rooms to do your thing. But as mentioned the room isn't like your hotel room where you can leave your stuff. It's more like when you go to HK and you didn't book a night at the Cascadas. But if you're coming from Tijuana you'll be surprised at the cost benefit here.

Overnight stay at Cascadas - $70+.

VIP card to get discount. Think it's $60/70.

Room cost if you don't stay overnight (going by memory) - $20.

Something somewhat similar happened to me in Paisas. Like woodman said pretty much all regular drinks are 8 mil (water, Gatorade, poker beer) and I just give the guy a 10 and they usually appreciate the 2 mil tip (50 cents so no biggie). If I want a beer I just ask for a poker. It's drinkable and no different than a bud. Nothing great, not bad.

For some reason, corona in Colombia seems to be a premium beer. I can't stand it but if you see the mesero walk over with one tell him no. The guy in paisas got me by opening it up as I was saying no and then saying it was something stupid like 50 mil. Always best to have change when going to SF-- people like to play games with your change. I have seen waiters disapear-- Many waiters are honest but there are problems-- Happens in Texas, California and Venus sometimes--get your waiters number on shirt-- Better yet bring 20's, 10's and smaller-.

Girls will sometimes try and succeed to keep part or all- Not my GFs but that's why they are my GFs-.

Basically they ripped me off, they made me pay 70.000 for 2 beers. I caught them trying to serve me more drinks I didn't ask for and had to physically stop them to open the bottles.

I tried to argue with my basic Spanish but of course it was useless.

I could feel the situation escalate so I just left the money on the counter and quickly left, not worth to be assaulted over this.

In the end it wasn't much money, but be wary about this kind of things, I never had any problem in 4 months totals in Colombia so I dropped my guard down..

I went to the Cathedral of Salt my first time in Colombia and I loved it. I remember the taxi charging 50,000 pesos for there and back. I guess I will add El Dorado lake to my list for next time. Thanks for the tip.
