I think bland food is the national cuisine, isn't it?

    Possible Idea.

Hope you made out alright but possible you finally felt a bit better right as you're leaving or once you land at your next destination. Bummer.
I've gone to Medellin a couple of times with absolutely no side effects. The altitude there is 4,900 feet. Bogota is 8,700 feet. Perhaps a good idea is to start by going to Medellin for a few days to a week, which will allow your body to acclimate to 5,000 ft and then go to Bogota. By then the adjustment from 5,000 to 8,700 feet may not be as debilitating and you may surmount it in a day or two. I'm just throwing out an idea.

    Altitude

Arrived in Bogota yesterday. Guys, soroche hit hard.

BTW, no one here knows what "soroche" is. Must be a Peruvian thing. Here they call it mal de altura, if I'm not confusing anything.

It hit me differently than Cuzco. In Cuzco I had a severe shortness of breath and headaches for the first day, but the next day I was fine. In Bogota, I didn't feel anything at first. Then I had a beer. My heart began pounding. Then I went slightly uphill back to my hotel. It was a short one-block walk, but I felt exhausted. Got in the room, lay down for 15 minutes. My heart rate kept pounding. Accompanied by a headache and bad pressure around my temples.

The coco leaves tea did nothing for me.

Decided to take it easy and found a tantra massage called Mantra. $140 for (supposedly 1 hour 20 minutes. Had a very nice massage with a nice tantra-like finish, done by a girl called Carolina. Nice girl and not a bad finish, but I had much better in Siem Reap and Hamburg of all places. The receptionist never bothered to give me a change from 150.

Thought I'd call it a night expecting to wake up relaxed and recharged. No such luck. Today did some touristy things in Candelaria and Monseratte. Every step uphill was a challenge. Got back to the hotel, had a couple of drinks. As I'm writing this, lying in my bed, my heart is making 130 a minute. It's clear to me that I'm not capable of drinking or making any physical exercises tonight. Am I fucked or what? What if this persists for all 5 days I'm here?

Should I ask a girl to do all the work for me, LOL?

    Hey Koslord,

I spent too much time looking through escort sites that by the time I called them, none of the ones I was interested were available. Routard posted a nearly endless list and I looked through every one. Sunday was a wasted day as far as mongering but I made up for it today. Plenty of hot girls at Atunes and Fiebres. Seems like the price went up a little at the clubs where it's now 70 K COP for 20 minutes. The girls on the street charge 50 K for same amount of time. The hottest girl at Fiebras is currently a blond Venezuelan. Talked to her but didn't pull her since nothing of what I like was on the menu..
Great information. I can't wait to hit up one of those spots. What was the exit fee?

    Bait and Switch.

I thought I'd try my luck with an escort site and went with http://www.mujeresbogota.com. The girl on the site was a 10 but the girl that showed up was a 6 at best, no way she ever looked like what was in the picture. Classic bait and switch. Service was pretty bad too and now my sheets smell like her. She could see I was enjoying it and asked if I wanted her to leave after about 20 minutes and I said yes. I'm guessing 100% of the pictures on that site are fakes. The escort sites know there's nothing we can do about getting ripped off so they have nothing to lose.

I did pull a couple escorts last year and one was not close as good as her online profile, but the second one had accurate pics and gave good service. I think both were from photoprepagos. I'm done with escorts this trip as I also wasted time waiting for the escort service to contact me and waiting for her.

Yesterday in Santa Fe was great though. Pulled multiple girls and all were good sessions. Plan to repeat tonight.

One escort site peaked my interest but seems to good to be true. It's the one called.

    http://www.colombianitasbellas.com/scort.htm

They seem to have some very hot women at pretty low prices.

On there translated site it reads.

"Striptease show, oral massage and relationships. Other services with additional cost."
Which makes me skeptical. If any one has used that site please fill us in.

As far as flights are concerned, I think I tried with both LATAM and Avianca, and was getting the $100 each way price.

For the first couple days here before I got a SIM card and internet connection, I was getting screwed over by the taxis. They were charging me two to three times the uber price. Definitely use uber when your here.

With uber, it costs about 12 K COP to get from the north end of Bogota to the South. That's about US $4 to cross the whole city. I almost feel guilty paying so little. Another way to save money is to bring your clothes to nearby laundry mat. They quoted only about 8 K COP for a half bag of clothes. Contrast that to the hotel cleaning prices where a single shirt can cost more than that.

Blade I'm already in Medellin. It's pretty much dead today but my Uber driver is hooking me up. I'll be back on Sunday if you are still there. There's got to be a way to contact since we can't buy a subscription.

    Thanks.

I got a session with the only doable girl there (7 maybe). She lied about services she offered to get me in for 50 K COP, but didn't deliver in the room. Better than nothing though. I guess the only option for today will be to go through the escort sites.

I'll have a whatsapp number later today if anyone want's to hang out.

Not to worried about comfort on an hour flight.

    No so.

Prices on Avianca are 100.00+ US and on Viva 25.00+.

I could make a two day round trip flight to Medellin for only 340 K COP with that airline. I think I'll have my hands full in Bogota for the rest of this trip, but that's good to know for future trips.
From where I got this its for everybody. You just have to book it.
