Cops may be in the area. But if they are more than a few feet away they would not even be aware of something like that. Crowds will do nothing to interfere. Anyway. I don't have any personal stories of a violent or threatened violent hold up. But I know of so many that have happened to locals and tourists that they are not uncommon. Mostly with guns, all over within 30 seconds. Usually no shots, just someone pulls a gun on someone and you give them your wallet and cellphone. It is still a pretty raw place in spite of the progress that they have made in reducing kidnappings, etc.

I was there two night and allways felt safe, first night around 1 AM with Woodman we were heading walking to Tequendama Suites when suddenly 2 cops on small motorbike came and told us it was unsafe to walk in dark areas, they even accompanied me up to the hotel.

Is Santa Fe area look very safe but just in cas I will take taxis, to first crowed area. For me Santa Fe clubs have gems and I did enjoy. By the way Woodman tour is worth to try it gave me a very good outlook of options and all clubs guys did salute me the next day.

There are ALWAYS police / security on the TM Calle 22 bus stop (Santa Fe stop) and Calle 85 (Zona T bus stop).

Ya, there are 3 platforms on the Calle 22 stop. Police might be in the middle socializing among themselves. But there is the clerk in his box at beginning of the platform.

I would assume the police / security personnel would do their job and call for back-up. Too much to assume?

Since 2018, I've observed 2 incidents in Santa Fe that required police / ambulance. Once, local guys attacked 2 guys just walking in a crowded area. Assuming they were members of another gang or thieves / drug sellers that were warned. Cops were there in about a minute. Another time, saw a motorcycle accident in front of the gas station. Cops and 2 ambulances where there in about couple of minutes.

I always assume that I am safe in the main areas of Santa Fe during normal hours. Business owners don't want crime in front of their stores. The cartel that controls the area don't want their drug customers getting mugged in the area they control. The cops don't want muggings in their beat. With the advent of the cell phones, cops can be there in a minute. False assumptions?

I'm no hater, but other posters, especially newbies, should take your post with a grain of salt. SF is cheap, hoes are in abundance, but the quality is low. If one has low standards and is on a budget, SF is a good place to visit. For someone seeking quality, SF is a no go. You will not see a 9+ on the street there. Bunch of 4', 5's and 6's, very few 6. 5-7's on a good day. Club girls are a bit better, but not even close to "more than half were 7-8 quality". The best looking girls are usually taken. If you want to be her 5th or 7th dick for the night, more power to you.

Guys, adjust your expectations accordingly, otherwise you will be disappointed.

At lunchtime I was going through my restaurant list but did not feel like going to any of the places on it. I ended up going to this new place downtown called #Pollos. It was a joint with only barbecue chicken. It gets a thumbs up for me.

What I do not get about Colombia is why they try to squeeze restaurants and bars into these narrow ass spaces? It is like they are not even expecting to get a crowd. 4 by 12 space? Perfect. Now let's see if we can fit 10 tables and 40 chairs inside.

I hit Santa Fe today at 5 pm. I did 2 laps around the whole place in 40 minutes. Not too many people out but there were enough. Ended up getting a chick across from the old Piscina. Paisa from the Eje Cafetero. She told me 50,000 but quickly went down to 40,000 without me saying anything. Got to the window and handed her 50,000. She gave it to the lady behind the window then gave me 10,000 back out of her purse. The lady behind the glass gave her 40,000 back.

Got to the room and she kept asking didn't I see you walk by earlier? I said yep and I ended up coming back just for you. Nice GFE. If I was a repeater I would have gotten her info. When we finished up she asked me for money for coffee. I said you were just drinking coffee when I walked up. She said that was milk. I said how much is it 500? Headed to Tantra Spa. Navigated through the continued construction on Calle 72 nearby. Went upstairs and into the lounge area. Several locals were seated and waiting. Shortly after, the girls came out one by one for an introduction. They rated 5-8. Most had all natural bodies. Made a selection of a 7. Very good eye contact and smiles. I have been an extended visitor to Bogota and other cities in Colombia for many years but predominantly Bogota. I have lived with the locals in south and seen first hand the muggings and thefts her family went thru over and over and how the dangerous of Bogota has escalated since the influx of very desperate and dangerous Venezuelans arrived. Nothing against Venezuelans, just the robbers. First, I know Woodman, he's ok just trying to make a buck but he does have a bit of a cavalier attitude toward SF, as does a lot of the mongers who like SE. It's not safe, as lots of areas in Bogota. It can happen in a flash, crowds around is not a guarantee of safety, they will NEVER intervene on your behalf. My girl was in El Centro, coming down the ramp from the transmilenio, lunch time, around 1 pm when a large black Venezuelan man suddenly blocked her path, with a very LARGE knife. Forced her to open her backpack right in the middle of the crowd as he took everything, cut her on the side of her face and broke her glasses. This is probably her 5th cell phone loss and 7 or 8 muggins as well as 7 or 8 muggins suffered by the rest of the family. Including her dad, a Taxi driver and x bus driver, who was shot in the head and was in a coma for 4 months. These are people who have lived in Bogota their entire life. Very street smart but still fall victim. What chance do you think you have if they zero in on you? None that's what. Be careful, assume everyone around you or at the reception desk or security is out to get you. Most are good humble hardworking people but you must assume you are a target.
