Unrelated to mongering topic but does anyone recommend dental offices here in Bogota that does good dental work that charges reasonable price?

Possibly need dental implants.

I haven't been in Colombia for years so I have zero knowledge about where and how to find good dentists who charges reasonable prices.

DENTIX is ok, an implant is around 5 million COP depending on type of tooth and how much bone needs to be added. They have many branches around Bogota. Seems cheaper than others because they produce their own titanium screws which apparently is the most expensive part of the whole implant process.

You need a good dentist where you live. Many visits are required, normally 3-4 visits to get the best result. It is taking me about 9 months. Implants need to be screwed in, then healing time of 4 months, then checked, then abutment put in place, then regular dentist must take impressions for crown to fit on top of abutment.

Unless you plan on travelling to Colombia many times. And what if you have infections or problems? Sure you can get a Costco cheap product, or one that will last a life time.

Have you tried reading back the last 10 to 30 pages? There have been recent posts with specific information.

Pretty much every strip club has full service. And again, read back and there is lots of info.

I will be in Bogota in a couple of weeks. I read everything for the last year. I will be with SO so my time is limited. I was in Bogota Friday & Tuesday of last week. Figured I would try one of the street girls down there for the first time. Got there at around 3:30 pm and there were dozens lining the street. When my gal and I talked last night, she mentioned to me that her daughter was out of class tomorrow. I asked why, and she said that her school and the city of Cartagena was taking the day off. Apparently, the mayor has decided to take a holiday as people in Cartagena are going to be in solidarity with their brothers and sisters.

My gal and I have some good natured ribbing about Colombia. I love the country but like seeing her get defensive when I attack it. In fact, her daughter has started mimicking me and says whenever something does not work, "Typical Colombia". I have tried being nicer but I could not resist, "Oh so people in Bogota are dying of thirst and you all in Cartagena decided to help them by taking a day off? That sounds like the Colombian mindset in action."

In the countryside I have seen the lakes, the rivers, and been drenched in Bogota's frequent rain storms, so I asked my gal, "How on earth can Bogota be having a water problem?

And she said, "Well, Cartagena is fine. " LOL.

She then said something about there being less rain than usual which I guess now is a bad thing.

So I just wanted to confirm then that yes the water issue in Bogota is very real and when you cannot shower and are stinking up the joint, just remember the people of Cartagena are with you. They may not stand to close to you but they are with you.

There are 2 reservoirs in the outskirts that services Bogota and have had much less rain in the recent weeks. I was in Bogota in March and April and I had 5 straight days both times without any rain, a rarity in Bogota, in fact the weather was very pleasant. Had something to do with El Nino or something to that effect. My experience in Bogota is it won't be too long before the drenching rains begin. I checked with my hotel and they have 'tanque de reserva' reserve tank so no problem check with you hotel or AirBNB to see if they have them.

I left the first day of water rationing April 12 so I'm curious with the boots on the ground if the rationing has affected the restaurants or Casinos and malls?
