I've pretty much conceded that Colombia will eventually turn into the Thailand of the south america and head down the of places like Costa Rica. Just enjoy it while you can. The irony, is that its boards like this that contribute to the downfall. So much attention and people posting about all their experiences. I'm old enough to remember that you used to go to places and experience what they were actually like vs experiencing the tourism of the place. Theres a way to fight upward pricing. Just like theres a way to fight downward pricing. Its called collusion. Girls do it. Mongers should do it too, but I don't think theres enough will for that to ever happen. Most people don't really care if prices go up 200 or 300 percent, they've already come down, spent there weekend millionare money and gotten theirs. Its not a lifestyle to them, they don't live it. They *experience* it. The smart thing to do would be to not engage weekend millionaires. Let them find out information on their own.

A good destination for this activity is where the market is local eg cheap and with amateurs to semi pro, tourism transform very quickly in a bad way the market. Medellin and Cartagena on their way to reach this situation, Bogota not yet as poorly attractive for pure tourism but this will probably come.

Better as far as what? If you are looking for chicks to pay then I do not think it makes a difference whether you speak the language or not. If you are looking for normal chicks then I think it makes a huge difference although not impossible. I have not always spoke Spanish, Portuguese, and Thai, but have always been able to pick up normal chicks despite then having language barriers.

I respectfully disagree with you. Even when paying for chicas, if you can't communicate with the girl, you're never going to have that connection that makes some sessions stand out from others. Of course there are always exceptions, there may just be some sort of physical chemistry that you have with a girl that transcends verbal communication, but how often does that happen. Analizer Laboratories has several locations in Bogota. They are quick and will email you the results in English or Spanish. There was one location that was a 5 minute walk from my AirBnB. Stopped by on a Saturday morning before my returning flight on a Tuesday. Unfortunately they don't perform the test at their location. However, they did help me set up an appt at another location for Monday. They assured me I would have my results before my flight. I took an Uber and arrived at the other lab Monday at 7 am. They checked my passport and gave me the test. I was there probably a total of 15 minutes. I got my results at 2:30 am Tuesday morning. I did have to try several times to download the pdf into my phone. Verify accepted to PDF.

Several things to know.

They speak only Spanish at the Laboratory. So know some Spanish or have a working translator app. I've practiced enough Duolingo and listened to News In Slow Spanish podcasts and was able to pick up on enough words to know what they were saying and asking for.

Have your passport.

Have your flight info (either the physical ticket, email, or airline app) for them to see. In the case of my AA app they wanted a screenshot of my flight info emailed. I didn't have Internet. Fortunately, the lady working there was quick on her feet and took a screenshot from her phone and emailed it for me.
