Hi friends!

I am an experienced traveler to Medellin. I have been there many times but I am now looking at moving to Bogota for a year or possibly more. I have a fairly simply question.

I would like to live in an area that's at least somewhat decent for an ex-pat but also with options to walk or short cab ride to monger options. In Medellin I would say the Laureles neighborhood is great for this. Fairly safe and quiet but with tons of working women options all over the area.

What would you guys suggest for Bogota?

In Bogota I like Chico Norte. A short taxi, Uber or indriver ride away from most areas you can monger. Anything you need is close by, restaurants, banks, ATM's etc. SF is a short ride away as are many casas and Mezzanine. There are 2 excellent malls close by, Andino and Unicentro Bogota. The best thing I like about this area is if I want to go out later in the night to get some wine or beer or something to eat is it's relatively safe to do so. I won't stay in an area that I would not feel safe going out at 10 pm to a tienda. Stay safe.

Talking about SA, let me share a little experience I had with one of them. Back in rookie days, had this one girl come to see me in BOG. She traveled 3. 5 h which I tried on several occasions to discourage her from doing but to no avail. She wanted to spend the weekend (fri. Sun 4 p'ish) to take the bus home. Problem was after she got there, she wanted all the GF benefits / treatments but wasnt willing to fuck. She gave a uber quick reluctant CBJ after much pressure then finished with a HJ. Claimed she was tired and didn't feel like having sex that night. Ok. Sat night after spending all day together + money, she tried to pull the same stunt. It was late, we had drinks so I was ready for action. She tried to refuse and offered CBJ. No thanks. It got to a point where I was like we fuckin or you leavin tonight. She thought I was joking until I called the lobby to have them send security to escort her out the room. Security showed up, she tried to explain her way out of it but eventually they told her she would need to leave if I asked her to. Long story short, she couldn't leave. Had no where to go so I banged the shit out of her. Next morning banged her again then after breakfast kicked her out. Never gave her any money either. No morals to the story but just an experience.

Hmmm. A problem with the sugar baby type thing, they often do get benefits without putting out sex, or at least until later in the relationship So you should hope that she doesn't reframe this as an assault, and hope that she does not have any way of having the authorities track you down, if she does take it that way.

Giving her money, no forcing her to take money, may have been something you should have done. At least then you might be able to defend your thinking that it was about sex for money.

I would suggest Chapinero-- Many casas there and 4-5 miles from Santa Fe. Chapinero is a big area.

Not sure about Mezzanie or SF, but I did a round of the casas in Chapinero around 5 after the rain. Didn't see men or chicas outside the casas. Wasn't in the mood to try going in.

The moral of the story is that you don't tell someone where you're staying until you're giving them an address to come fuck you. If they try to push their way into coming to stay with you, you block them. Any girl nutty enough to travel that far to spend the weekend with someone she's never met and hasn't specifically agreed to fuck (for a price) isn't someone you should ever let into your hotel room.

I am typing this up directly from my first night out in Bogota 4/13/22. I went to 4 different clubs including Troyas, Paisas and 2 other random spots recommended by the Uber. Every single spot charged 50,000 for Beer and 30,000 for soda, juice or water. 1 Dance was 50,000 and taking a girl upstairs was 500,000 k. When was the last time you were in Santa Fe? It seems the gangster have all gotten together and fixed the prices because it was insane paying $50 for 2 beers and a water with my 2 friends and the prices were exactly the same all 4 places we went.

Many places in Bogota have fixed higher prices to con customers that clearly look like foreigners. That would explain how they all offered you the same inflated prices. I recommend to go back with a Colombian looking male friend, that way they probably will charge the standard rate. I've never been quoted more than 100 k in SF and I was there this year, several times. But I know some girls can charge up to 150 k.

500 k is insane. Definitely a con.

When I read his M. O. It seemed to me he was making a lot of mistakes. All of that should be left for a face to face meeting. There is a tried and true saying in sales.

"you can't give them a haircut over the phone".

I certainly do not take any offense to any of the criticism here, but I do want to clarify. I put the girls into two different buckets (listed below) depending on their responses. On this trip I did not have a lot of time for wasted meetings and I also was not staying at a very girl friendly place, so I couldn't cycle through dates without having to start booking hotel rooms at additional expense. I am doing more research and planning things differently for my next trip which will be for about 6 weeks with a lot fewer business obligations. I do have a lot to learn though since this was my first trip trying this, so I appreciate the feedback. My 1st trip to Bogota was just a single high end club and I had no idea of anything in the city. My 2nd was a single visit to Santa Fe guided by Woodman and still little to no understanding of the city. My 3rd was the past experiences I have been sharing.

A) The girls that the talk went quick to money it was all through WhatsApp and it got me a quick result with an incredibly hot girl that spoke English. Any that asked for hundreds of USD I just said no thanks and moved on. So essentially zero lost time and a guaranteed result.

B) The girls that the talk did not go to money we had lots of good conversations on WhatsApp and I had the opportunity to line up dates with no talk of money. I only met with one of them (multiple times) due to time limitations and she wants absolutely nothing from me so far. I did pay for our meals and paid for her uber one night though because it was late and she was going to take the mass transit. I have plans to meet up with the remaining ones when I go back in May.

So anyways. I put some effort into the A category due to my very limited time / unpredictable work schedule and my lack of girl friendly accommodations. B category is going to get more effort next trip.
