Just wanted to piggy back onto this about taxis. I had zero luck with Uber or didi ever bringing me back to the ibis. Don't know if it's because of Santa Fe or if it's because it's a short ride and so not much money for the driver to do it. Getting to Santa Fe is usually the easy part as you're probably going there when there are a multitude of options (bus, taxi, ride share, walking) but getting back it helps to not be too intimidated by the small taxis driving all over the place.

When you get in there's usually some form of a tiny box with numbers somewhere around the roof of the car either on the passenger side or next to the driver. That's the fare cost. It never went higher than 7500 pesos for me when going from the clubs back to the ibis museo so I always had a 10 k note that I'the keep in a separate pocket for my ride home. If they're driving just stare at a driver as he's driving towards you and put your hand out. Others will wait outside the clubs. I got friendly with some meseros while there and they always got me a taxi when I let them know I was finished for the night. I got ripped off once but I knew it going in and didn't know enough Spanish nor did I care when the guy said it would be 20 k cop to do the same 7500 k cop ride. I didn't tip him obviously. Last tip is screenshot your hotel directions in google maps or whatever you use and screenshot the map of the road the driver needs to take. Some just plain don't know where the hotel is and you have to use hand gestures to tell them where to drive and some will look at your phone to know where to go. Screenshot it as sometimes depending on who you have for cell phone service it's f annoying when you don't have a signal and it takes forever yo get the directions on your phone for the driver.

Main danger I heard was getting your beer spiked. Like you, I am not a big drinker and think it is better to keep your wits about you when in SF.

Only other thing to say is you can get Uber to take you there, but it is hell getting one to come pick you up. I have leaned to go for the taxis when leaving but they tend not to be too bright with directions so I have had to use google maps.

For hotels, Ibis let me bring guests back, but the rooms are on par with Motel 6. I heard Hotel Oceania was nice but there was a guest fee, but my favorite hotel that is about a five minute cab ride away, the NH 26 urban royal. I am not sure about guests there, but the buffet and rooms are really nice.

That area also has an Anytime Fitness, only one in Colombia I think.

More so than in other mongering places, some of the Sg's also come into the clubs. Noticed that more in bar California / Texas and sometimes Venus than others. In addition many of the club girls rotate between clubs. The price for the street girls (and bar girls) are so inexpensive that you are better off banging them, getting a BJ / BBBJ or whatever else you negotiate and doing it in Santa Fe whether it be seeing them in one of the clubs and taking them upstairs or going into one of the rooms of the places they stand in front of. You're going to get a good idea for what their attitude is, personality, body under the clothes, etc. Then if everything checks out spend some time with her.

I noticed in Bogota more than other mongering places I've been to a large amount of the girls are willing to share their WhatsApp info and keep in touch after a session. I have 2 cuties info who regularly post to their WhatsApp stories so it's always nice checking out them being civvies knowing my face was buried in their pussy and I cummed down their throat for less than $30 LOL. It's also kinda cool just seeing them be normal. Admittedly I can see how it would be easy to be sucked into any drama that goes on in their life as some are really cute but you have to try to resist. I block the ones that ask for money and keep the ones that occasionally send a Hi and reminding me to contact them when I'm down in Bogota again. I know there's ulterior motives of when I'm there charging to go on a date, a meal, etc but if this type of date thing works for you then the club girls were great for this.

Just as in every other city I would be cautious about bringing any street girl back to my room if I didn't have things of value locked up. These girls don't make a lot of money and sometimes the temptation of an expensive item left out on a hotel counter may be too much even for the ones that seem nice.

Personally there's so many girls there that depending on how long you have I wouldn't even waste my time going through the hassle of negotiating a price for them coming back to your hotel, getting a taxi, paying for them to go back, their time, guest fees, etc etc. I would just have whatever fun you want down there in SF. Just my 2 cents.

If it still runs, there's a train that runs to the Salt Cathedral and some town in that direction.

Laguna Guatavita, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Guatavita. iirc the guided tour is now the only way to see it, after years of erosion and destruction by the locals. I've never managed to have the tour in English though and some of the vocabulary is a bit specialized for my Spanish.

    Agree, worth the trip.

I wouldn't totally dis the Salt Cathedral, though there's a more interesting mine, imo, at Nemocón.

I've often walked by this but never had the time to stop. I've clearly missed out!

Santa Clara is mostly open only for lunch, San Isidro in the evenings, apart from at Christmas, iirc. Santa Clara is more casual but the service has been ok whenever I've been. By Colombian standards, of course. If you judge Colombia by anything else you're going to be badly disappointed.

Just be sure that the place you stay allows visitors. Many places do not.

He was speaking of going to Moneratte, the mountain church. I was referring to Monserrate the mountain not the restaurant. The restaurant Monserrate Parrilla, is a steak restaurant and not very good. I don't believe they even serve Lobster. The restaurant I like is Casa San Isidro. Excellent. You are talking about Pajares Salinas, Cra 10 96-08 no where near the mountain. It's a Tapas restaurant in Chico Norte rwo blocks from my hotel for the last 10 years. It's excellent, although a bit stuffy and sedate, lots of Businessmen and politicians with their trophy wives. The Tapas is good as with the Serrano Ham. I always ask for a table in William's selection, an excellent waiter.

There are many SGs that work in clubs too. I think getting to bang an SG is a great cheap pre qualifier to a longer date. If you meet one you like maybe take her to lunch in SF area to get to know her better after banging her hard.

I pesonally have met many super hot SG's (6-8+) and seen them later. But mostly I just have quickees with them, LOL, I have banged so many and there are always new ones.

    Good Luck-.

I will be going to Brazil but stopping over in Bogota on my way back for few days in the first month of May.

I booked my airport pick up with Colombian Buddy company. The also provide you a Colombian phone SIM card at the pickup. Airport pickup by an English speaking person along with the SIM card cost me US $46. Maybe a lot for Bogota but I have piece of mind that there will be someone waiting for me at the airport late night with a SIM card.

I will be arriving late night so I have booked the Woodman tour for the next day afternoon. I remember taking the legendary "Pops" tour in Costa Rica. We became instant friends and he always looked after me whenever I was in San Jose. Hoping to strike the same chord with our Woodman.

Besides having some good times in the evening, I am planning to visit places like Plaza de Bolivar, Monserrate, Botero Museum and maybe a trip to the Salt Cathedral. And eating Ajiaco!

Since this forum has always helped me plan my trips, I will make sure that I share my add experiences in Bogota in this forum.
