Nowhere in latam is safe, and Bogota is less safe than most of the continent. Check violent crime statistics and ignore men's restroom wall advice.

Iv'e been here for a week now (and 2+ years in latam) and established what seems to be a safe operation:

1. Take an uber straight to the club's front door, have sex inside the club, and then wait for your uber inside the club.

This way you spend the evening past club security and not on the streets.

2. For day game, get girls' phone numbers in advance and invite them to a safe motel, one that has security, checks IDs and is in a good area (not Santa Fe), this should cost 50 k instead of the 8 k you pay for knock-on-the-door places. It's also a good idea to have another person verify the girl's age.

This is the advice I wish I was given a week ago.

I cannot disagree with LatinaLover and just to clarify. My post was not to just say yolo and get drunk and go to random areas without caution. I do not want to appear as argumentative because I also agree in that I do not want the take away for new visitors that it is like going to Montreal or anything. I'd never recommend inviting a girl to my apartment without know her well enough and its always super easy to just have her meet you at a love motel of your choice. (tons in central Chapinero, mostly 33 k for 4 hours.) And when I am saying I feel safe enough in Santa Fe street game. Its with girls that are standing in the love motel doorways, not going to random other places. I would definitely not feel comfortable straying down there. Its just an unnecessary risk. But so would it be for parts of cities in the world. I've had kids try and fuck me up along the original city wall in Istanbul when I went way off the beaten path.

But have I gone on drunken/high walk abouts with girls from seeking in different parts of Bogota? Yeah - But I knew them really well.

Jimmy. I am not looking to say your experience is wrong. But its just not representative of the average that I am seeing and I feel like you are making it out like its a war zone when it is not. I do not think it is fair to Bogota. I am sure there are gangs in Bogota/Santa Fe just like in any other city - but I certainly have never seen anything that might appear like that in Santa Fe unless you are talking about a couple of guys hanging around. I am thinking any gang would be into drugs/mass theft - not messing around with randos in the established club areas unless you are maybe holding out your cell phone and wallet for the taking on the street. Theres a "Most Dangerous Place" youtube video that is hidden when viewing from Colombia that shows Santa Fe - and it looks Absolutly nothing like the part of Santa Fe that we are talking about. And there are so many cops out at night on the streets. But again - in the established club / north stroll areas.

Not sure what restroom wall advice is. I am going off my real life experience in Bogota and Santa Fe. I have had dates with 120+ women in 2022 in Santa Fe, casas, online ads going to their apartments in various parts (but not south of downtown!) of the city, and seeking. I have stayed away from Tinder so far and the only time I was in noticeable danger was in the north when a guy tried to drug me. I've had a blast with the street game in Santa Fe during the day and also at night. But I have not walked around on the streets outside the club area / north stroll on my own. Only when I have been with another.

Overall anyone that is planning to visit should read a lot of the forum posts to get an initial idea for themselves. This part is really important! The best advice I can give to anyone is to get a tour from someone and also connect with other ISGers to meet in person so you get a lay of the land. That way you can get an idea and then the person can make their own decisions about what is right for them. A lot of ISGers I have met will bring you out with them and / or show you around a bit if you are chill. I also take precautions like not taking my credit cards, passport. Etc. Basically nothing I cannot stand to do without. I also do not dress nice. Beyond that. I could die from a car accident in the USA, get thrown on to subway tracks in NYC, get carjacked in the suburbs by kids in the USA, or get shot in the USA. Not saying Colombia doesn't have its own risks. But life in general does.

Everyone has their own level of chill. But I don't want people to have the wrong take away here. I have only been to Colombia in SA so I cannot compare to where you have had a gun pulled on you or where you have been robbed multiple times in latam. But I cannot fathom how that has anything to do with Bogota or Santa Fe. There is no feeling of that down there. There are more cops than Grand Central. I was here for 170 days in 2022 and I roam the city and get into random situations with chicas. If you are having guns pulled on you and robbed on the regular than you need to reflect. I'm an Irish gringo with horrible Spanish and it a non issue even at midnight in Santa Fe. Just don't be flashy and your fine.

Obviously everyone has their own experiences and anyone can have a specific bad experience, but it doesn't sound like this guy's is the average one based on all the people I have met. I don't say that to be negative on him. But I don't want people to have an unnecessaryly negative view of the scene here. I love Bogota and there is a lot of fun to be had in Santa Fe.

I don't care if it sounds like an advertisement. But if you are timid get a subscription and get a tour. If you are not timid just follow the map and you will be fine. I was super timid and got a tour 3 times, but never had any questions in my mind about being harmed. I just wasn't confident about procuring what I wanted at the time.

I have been robbed in Costa Rica when 3 teens snuck up behind me and mugged me within 10 yards of the Del Rey and the Hotel Morazan and this was after years of trips to CR and thinking I am savvy, I carry myself with confidence, lived and worked in NYC. Many many years of travel to countless Latin countries, so it happens. My girls father, A TAXI driver and a lifelong Bogotano, so he was VERY street smart and he was shot in the head 2 blocks from his apartment and in a coma for 2 months. Her Brother, a student in Bogota disappeared a few months back and no word from him and the police won't spend 5 minutes looking for him. Everyone in the family has lost countless phones and money. SO IT DOES HAPPEN! If not to you it does not mean it's safe it means not yet!

The crime has never stopped me from many many trips to Latin America over the years but please don't give anyone especially newbies the feeling that it doesn't happen. Enjoy the culture, the girls the local scene and all the really good people of Latin America but ALWAYS be vigilant, don't trust the girls, especially in SF many are controlled by boyfriends and will dose you when you least expect it. Like Vila Mimosa in Rio, and SF things don't normally happen within the confines of those areas because the bosses won't let shit go down where they are making their money, so inside the area your somewhat safe but it's a different story when you go to a love motel or bring her back to your apartment. Have fun but don't get drunk if you are with a girl you don't know. Have fun and be safe.

Thanks for the guidance guys. Yesterday and today have been more successful.

I'm still too scared to stoll SF area at night (Iv'e done a lot of traveling in latam and got robbed several times and had a gun pointed at my face), but I'm figuring out the late afternoon / early evening game.

Went to SF twice yesterday, 12 pm and 6 pm (getting brave LOL). It was a Sunday so not very popular.

More windows were open at 12 pm than at 6 pm and I met a very nice chica, she quoted the gringo rate and gave very good service.

Went home happy and satisfied.

Went back to SF at 6 pm and most windows were closed. I entered few bars and clubs and saw only 1-3 chicas in each. Still to early.

A chica at paises was very attractive and we talked. I asked for half an hour and she demanded 200 k. I was going to pay that but I only had 150 k, and she refused.

It wasn't a bargaining tactic, she actually let me leave empty handed and forfeited 150 k.

Went into another small bar and talked to a nice chica, got her number and I'll take her to a motel today.

Re: motels, the mongering map for central Bogota shows a cluster of motels near CL. 61/ Caracas.

The area and the motels are very upscale, I did not expect this. The area is very clean and quiet, none of the mounds of grabage and homeless people you see just accross Caracas.

Some of the motels have designer rooms (that look like high end hotels in Las Vegas NV.

One that was particularly impressive is Las Palmas, Calle 62 # 14-31, with 20+ themed rooms with sex furniture, saunas, jacuzzi and what not. WOW!

Feel a bit bad as it seems like you've had a tough time there, but I'll just add onto the list of repeating replies that 11 am and 5 pm are unfortunately too early. I'm guessing you may be looking to leave Santa Fe before it gets too dark as the area is somewhat "edgy" like many other rld areas (with the exception of Amsterdam which is fairly clinical and highly touristy) and you've sort of equated young kids round together as gangs that are going to try and mug you. Walk confidently and don't bother them and 99% of the time they don't really want to bother you either. If you feel a bit uncomfortable getting to and from Santa Fe and you're near the T red bus line you can also take the bus in and get off at Calle 22. It's an easy hop off the bus in the thick of the action basically and every time I've been at the Calle 22 stop in the evening there's 2 or 3 police around inside the stop. Just make sure to get there before the last bus comes through.

I tried to lay out in a post I did about 6 weeks ago how a newbie to Bogota can handle the area and spend a few days there but yes to have the most fun at least in the clubs you need to be arriving after 8/9 pm. Since you've been to Amsterdam think of Santa Fe like the rld there on a Friday and Saturday night. There are some girls there but the place comes alive in the later hours with many more girls in the windows due to the high number of people around vs during the daytime hours. Santa Fe is the same. I never made it to the daytime club atones (or is it Atunes I get them confused) but there were a few girls at 5 pm in Texas. I think by the time it gets to 9 pm though Troya, Paisas and Fiebre were better.

I may also just be kinda judging and it's not really what's happening with you but you mentioned as well in one of your posts about feeling as though you need to constantly buy drinks to get the meseros off your back. One thing I've become quite good at since going into this hobby is being comfortable saying no. No one's requiring you to drink so for you and anyone else reading this, get comfortable with walking into a club with a mesero walking with you, ordering a drink with them and then chilling to soak in the atmosphere and being okay saying no if you don't want something. Wasted so much time and money when I first started doing this because I felt bad saying no and often bought drinks or spent time talking to girls I had no interest in to the point I almost felt obliged to fuck them and I'the be in the room imagining fucking another girl to even stay hard. If a girl comes up you're not interested in say or find out on google translate how to say something like "you're beautiful but no I will talk to you later" or whatever you feel comfortable saying. I don't even know what I say tbh but it's something along the lines of "you're so beautiful baby but I need a few minutes. I will look for you soon". If a mesero points at a girl and you don't want to talk to her right then be okay saying "no not yet". They really don't care.

Kinda just throwing a whole bunch out there that may not even be specific to you, partly because I quite liked SF when I was there. A very different experience than other places I've been to. All in all a fun experience for me. Good luck in your adventures.

Day 1:

Went to Santa Fe twice, 11 am and 5 pm.

Morning shift was rather lonely with maybe 10-20 girls all around the area (counting only those I can see walking the street).

Went into Paisas and two other clubs. Lots of men sitting at tables drinking and maybe 5 chicas visible. Wtf.

Returned at 5 pm, much more action on the streets, kinda like Amsterdam. However the area is dodgy af and some street corners were populated with gangs. Wtf.

Went home empty handed.

Day 2:

North Bogota, went to pussy house and las divas. Pussy house was like paisas. Only men, few chicas doing strip shows. Felt like a non-sex strip club in the US. Wtf.

Divas was nicer but very small, though it had some visible chicas you can approach and perhaps fuck (where though? I didn't see rooms).

Saw another small bar with 5 chicas and no men, the place had 4 tables. The girls introduced themselves but we didn't click. Nice bar though.

I'm still empty handed. I expected a huge club full of chicas like in Ecuador, but haven't found one yet.

So if you go down Carrera 14 bis from calle 22 (1 block west of Carracas and Calle 22) one block south is the beginning of the South stroll.

There are 2 blocks+ of girls- See Photo.

Map attached has both strolls on left side in pink. Large pink Rectangle is a good area to look for a place to stay.

I just confirmed by talking to the reception:

You can bring a chica from 6 am till 8 pm. Past 8 pm there's a guest charge of 90 k.

Booking for 2 persons does not excuse the charge, unless it's always the same girl and you register her at check-in.

Anyone has recommendations for (confirmed) girl-friendly hotels in *upscale* areas?

I've been to Santa Fe 9 out of the last 10 days. The only time I felt that the talent was lacking or uninspiring was Christmas Day / night, which was also a Sunday and slower in general. There were still about 60+ girls on the streets between the north and south stroll.

I took a walk there this afternoon around 1 pm and there were over 100 girls between the north and south stroll. Business as usual for a Saturday afternoon.

I'm new to holidays in foreign countries, I can't give you data from previous years. I can only tell you how things have been over the last several months in comparison to how they were surrounding Christmas. My conclusion is that Santa Fe continues to provide exceptionally affordable and attractive women available to take care of our needs despite the holidays. It doesn't matter if there are 30 or 300 girls in the street, as long as one of those girls inspires you to spend some money on them for sex, Santa Fe has fulfilled its role as being a great mongering destination.

My DMs are always open to any monger coming to visit Bogota and wanting to link up. We can communicate through WhatsApp before you get here, and meet in person when you land.

Santa Fe Suites on the corner of Carrera 16 and Calle 22-a is in the heart of the street girl scene. Last time I went in there and asked it was 40,000 cop per night. I've never stayed there, but the reviews on google are decent, with a few poor reviews regarding the noise.

The mezzanines are still active. At least 3 separate businesses functioning there.

I prefer SW but when I went to Santa Fe last I didn't enjoy the walk / Uber to Santa Fe nor always waking for the knock at the door to hurry up when the girls would take me to their local hotel.

I was thinking of getting a room in the heart of Santa Fe where I could easily walk out of my hotel and the ladies are there. Then get myself a second cheap room (I would not bring a Santa Fe SW to my hotel room with my laptop etc there) where I could take the ladies to have fun without the dreaded knock at the door.

I know I am not going to get a room like the Ritz Carlton in the heart of Santa Fe but clean and relatively safe will fit the bill. Any suggestions of a hotel that fits this?

You seem like are very cool guy FriskyFrank. I finally managed to get a Bitcoin wallet and send over requisite funds. Was a bit of a struggle but I finally managed to do it only moments ago. Just waiting for my activation email now. I will be visiting Bogota from January 16 - 20th for work. Then I will staying another 5 days on my own personal time with the hopes of exploring and meeting some fellow mongers like yourself and Woodman. Is that a good time to come or will it be dead still given its just into the new year?

In 17 years of going to Santa Fe, I have never noticed there were gangs on the corners. I always just saw it as people hanging out. Must be something new.
