I know this hotel well. The setup has nothing to do with my point. Theres no hotel that I have ever been to where it makes sense to ask elevator people or security guards anything about how much anything costs. The best they can give you is a guess. These people don't have the money to stay there. If they did they wouldn't be working there. Not trying to make offense. Just stating that you should have asked at reception, that's what they are there for. Sounds like your should be all set, since there are no charges for daytime non overnight visitors. The service in this hotel is quite good and I recommend it if you don't mind taking taxis and ubers everywhere.

I asked the doorman because in that hotel set up, the elevator by phase the reception desk. Most of the time going in and out, I see only the doorman. So it makes sense to be nice to them as they will be the deciding factor whether to inform the reception desk and let girl through.

I don't know that was my thought. But I don't like bringing them at night anyways. Usually I'll call them during the day.

As for the taxi, it seemed like a separate contractor as you can rent them hourly and they'll just sit while you go in and do your business.

You are more of a target if you stay in the North-- I never hear about this sort of thing happening in Chapinero or south of there.

So after 9 years in Bogot. Something scary happened. Me, and a friend who is visiting from Canada almost got stabbed and mugged because of a taxi. Today Monday December the 26th we were leaving the 85th street area of Bogot and hailed a taxi from the street (in front of andino mall) he took us halfway to the drop-off point when suddenly he stopped mid road and 2 hooligans from a taxi cab that was following us tried to jump in our taxi and mug and stab us. Luckily we are two decently sized men and we fought them off. We both have the Fight response. Moral of the story Taxis are unfortunately very unsafe still in Bogot please try to stick to Apps only. Just a PSA to be safe and vigilant at all times folks!

Someone warned about this while I was there these past weeks. So I mainly used apps, and only took the yellow cab taxis in front of places that are legit like if they're always in front of your hotel or bars and the owners know them. But damn that's fckd up man.

Why are you asking the doorman? He doesn't know anything. Ask reception. It's a legitimate question and deserves a legitimate answer if you so desire. I wouldn't expect the doorman to know much about anything regarding hotel pricing. He's just a guard and has a very simple job to do and even if he did give you an answer I don't think I would rely on it.

I didn't know they had a hotel taxi. I wouldn't take it unless late at night, usually there are plenty of taxis on the street.

Yea, the location isn't the best if you want walkable stuff. Get something in chapinero if you want walkable.

Went down to Sante fe 3 days in a row with Cornholiobkk to check out the scene during the holiday. I've read a few posts about people's concerns regarding finding action surrounding the holidays and I think this might help clear up any concerns.

December 24th Christmas Eve:

We both got to Sante fe around 2:45 pm to see what kind of day time action there was in the streets. Typically all the clubs are closed during the day with the exception of Atunis. Lately though Texas has been open during the day. We took a stroll through the north and the south of the red light district and were pleasantly surprised to see the streets full of girls. Eventually we wondered off to check out some tourist stuff in regular non red light Sante Fe and La Candelaria. We then headed back to the red light district around 5:30 pm for another stroll and the streets were still filled with girls and the clubs looked like they were preparing to open for the evening. We got Ubers out of there around 6 pm.

December 25th Christmas Day:

We both got down to Sante fe red light district around 7:30 pm and took the stroll through both the north and the south. Far less girls on the streets than the day before, but easily enough options to find something that would work in a pinch. I don't believe any of the clubs were open. I don't remember exactly how long we stayed down there, but it was uninspiring and we both left without getting laid.

December 26th:

We both had busy days with dates and I wanted to do a brothel stroll to see what the scene was in central chapinero the day after Christmas. We also had a tentative plan to meet up to check out Lido in the north around 9 pm. So we didn't get down to Sante fe until after 10:30 pm. Pleasantly surprised to see that the Sante Fe red light district was back to business as usual. All the usual clubs were open with the exception of Paisas. The streets had tons of girls, and we took 2 strolls through the north and south. Fiebre was about 70% as full as I've ever seen it on the weekend. Tons of options for great looking girls. Things died down on the streets around midnight and we both got Ubers out of there about 12:15 am.

In conclusion:

If you come to Bogota during the Christmas holiday, you can get laid without an issue. We both had tinder dates during this time. Cornholio had seeking dates during this time. I went to multiple brothels during this time. It's business as usual here in Bogota for pay for play surrounding the holiday, with the exception of Christmas Eve when a lot of people are with their families, and Christmas Day when people are resting. It didn't help that Christmas Day was on a Sunday when the culture often rests regardless of holidays. Most brothels / casas open 24th and 26th and closed 25th.

I'm in Bogota for the foreseeable future. My DMs are open if you want to meet up and grab a drink and compare notes or you want to tour some brothels. Go on a Woodman tour of Sante Fe if it's your first time in Bogota and he'll give you my number after your tour if you want it.

I asked the door man for a overnight price, he just looked at me and just shrugged it off and laughed after. Guess that's a no? Since you can bypass the front desk, I just made friends with the Doorman and he didn't mind.

I was in and out of it the whole time. Was trying to get the pills to work, popped one in, nothing, then the other and still nothing. But I'd get the headache after. So when I went out to Santa f e in the morning, I'd come back to my hotel and pass out till night time when it's time to go. Then I wouldn't be ready at the club at night and just watch everyone have fun.

I'd catch the hotel taxi, 25 k cop one way then uber back for like 9 k- 20 k.

I don't know spanish and hated trying to figure out what number was what when paying, so I just pay with my card. For me that was within reason than trying to haggle with the taxi so that's what I did.

Hyatt place wasn't that far on the map, but with traffic, it's a be itch to get around so plan more closer? Usually like around 8-9 when leaving for Santa fe it'd take 15 min. But don't go anywhere around mid afternoon to evening as it socks unless you know how to ride the bus. I'll do a hotel review later on the different thread?? I think. Or it sounds like this is a review of the hotel already. Geez I'm writing to much and here I was yelling at guys who wrote long posts and wanted them to split it up. So I'll write another one about the clubs at Santa fe.
