I had this issue in an airbnb. I had to use the kitchen oven to heat the place the first night. By the second night, I found extra blankets and a note from the owner that a space heater was available in the porteria. It really gets cold there.

So, fun fact indoor heating in Bogota is sparse. Can anyone suggest a girl friendly hotel that has heat. I have a reservation for the Ibis museo hotel. This one has a recent review from last month talking about cold rooms and no heat. I got this recommendation from this board. I guess warm rooms isn't an implied standard LOL. Just jokes people I don't mean to offend.

Best bet currently is at the cambio right next to the Baggage carousel last month I got 4800 when the official wes 4880. No fee, bring see notes if your from the USA.

It's important to note that the money changer located next to the baggage carousels gives a much much better rate than the other money change locations inside the airport.

Where would I find money exchange place with decent rate near the Hotel Ibis?

Do they ask for passport or I can just show them printed copy of it like I did in MDE?

2 cambios in Hotel Teqendama-- one is right on street CR 10 by driveway. Maybe some others in business area a couple blks north on CR 7.

One on Calle 19 and CR 7 in Monserate Mall next to Western Union. A few on Avenida Gimenez just East of CR 7. I think the passport copy is ok.

You also could have just walked in and stood around and ordered one drink for yourself, or not, and just looked for a girl to take upstairs and saved yourself a few hundred thousand pesos.

Oh big time I definitely got scammed. There's absolutely nothing wrong with just walking in, looking around, not buying anything, and leaving. I did it so much in Cartagena to the point the bouncers were getting annoyed seeing my face for the fourth time that night.

My go to hotel for the last 10 yrs plus always supplied a heater but no more. So I bought this one on Amazon for 25 bucks and does a good job to take the chill out of a 400 SF room. It' small and does the job. Better to take it with me instead of searching for a hotel with heat and not in the area I want to sray in.

As far as I know only American chains have climate control. I have stayed in Marriot, Courtyard, and Holiday Inn. The one at Holiday Inn seemed to be rigged as to where there was noise, but it did not warm the place up. They "fixed" it, but it still seemed the same. Since then I carry my own heater.

My night totaled at 200+400=600 for the girls, 250+160+80+50+20=560+countless tips for the club. Should've just used photoprepagos.

My ex girlfriend just sent me this picture. She said it is freezing in Bogota. I can't believe you forgot your jacket. When I go there I pack my jacket and hat before I even pack my passport.
