Damn sure is not the USA. My exgirlfriend had fraud on her debit card and it was just too bad so sad, use at your own risk. My buddy said his Avianca refund took a long time, but mine was pretty fast.

After dozens and dozens and years of trips in Bogota I took my trip on the transMilenio. OMG never again. Last week in Bogota may have been the wettest I've seen in years in Bogota. As most of you know when you need to travel in the city during rush hour it is bad but rush hour +Torrential Rain and it's a nightmare. Taxis and Uber were useless from the Cra 11 why 94 in Chico Norte as traffic was stand still. So we walked to the bus and to the TransMilenio was our fastest option so reluctantly, I agreed. . My girls mom was in the hospital for her kidneys. San Carlos hospital is good distance south of Chico Norte for me and with each stop along the way more and more people pushed their way into the car, to the point there was not room for a news paper between us and they kept pushing their way into the car, to the point I started giving people shit about it. My girl tried to calm me down but I was pissed, to the point we almost couldn't even get out at our stop because everyone was so jammed in. The further you travel south in the system the more crowded it gets because less and less people who live in the south can afford taxis or Uber so the last resort for most are the very dangerous buses and the over crowed TM system. As I'm sure you have seen buses why the TM packed from a distance as they drove by from my view from the taxi but it's a whole different perspective when your in there all the way into the south of Bogota. If it wasn't for her mom in the hospital, I never would have went in the first place, I don't do mass transit. Today she wrote me on WA as I'm back in the states now that shehad a dream we were in the TM together. I told her that was not a dream, that was a nightmare.

The Dann Carlton hotel chains across Colombia are total shit and should be avoided at all costs. Took me 5 months and multiple in person visits to receive a $500 refund I was due. Incompetent and terrible customer service.

In my experience unless your Spanish is good and you can go after non pros, than SA is better if you want GFE compared to casas, online escorts, or santa fe. Don't get me wrong. I love all three, but if you like GFE and you are like me, than SA is for thee.

So yeah, I'm kind of over sf. As I said, the good and the bad are insepparable. Everone is bummed out because they work in such a ghetto place. Yes, there is one hot girl in the street for every 10 ugly ones, but they usually have a shit attitude and if you want more than basic mechanical service, it's no longer a good deal and you're better off finding someone better looking on mileroticos or somewhere else. The club girls are a bit better, but the clubs have their own problems like the one I mentioned, plus the obnoxiously loud electonic music and the waiting game of trying to get the attention of the girl you like without chasing her around the club like a lion chasing a ghazelle. Boots on the ground in SF next weekend and I just checked the exch rate and fuck. It's 4938.75 COP right now to $1 USD. I thought I was balling last month in mde at 4200 COP / USD. Anyone did an ATM withdrawal recently if so what's the offered rate? I know sometimes if rejected you get slightly more but never the full amt that Google shows.

There are 3 in Bogota. Which one and what was the problem? Medellin has 2 both extremely high end, still reasonable and my first choice!

It only costs 1 mil to get the meseros to leave you alone. They'll also bring the girl you want directly to you, so you don't have to chase anyone around the club. Your entire evening can change drastically with a different outlook and attitude about the meseros. What's the deal with the "low profile" thing? No one really cares about the customers in these places. Too many hot chicks to focus your attention on.

It's the principle. I shouldn't have to pay someone to leave me alone, no matter how cheap it is. Taxi from Bogota terminal (satire): he tried to overcharge at the dropoff. For 132 taxi units, he said it is 25 k pesos. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a fare conversion chart online. When asked for a fare chart that should be behind the passenger's seat, he said he forgot to bring it. The cabify app suggested the taxi fare is 15-18 k pesos and I showed him. All the while he hasn't stopped the meter and showed me that I need to pay for the units, but I showed the photo for 132 units I took as soon as the taxi reached my place. I argued I will pay 15 k in that case, then ended up paying 23 k and he left.

Taxi meters in Medellin, coffee region (Manizales, Pereira, Armenia) are good, the meter shows in pesos. In Cali & Bogota, the meter shows units, and I don't know where to find the conversion chart. But Uber, easytaxi (cabify), Didi experience is good. So, I never used taxi in Cali & Bogota except for the initial trip from the terminal. You could avoid a taxi even from terminal and use Uber / Cabify / Didi if you are willing to walk outside the terminal and get into the car from outside..

I found this, which may be useful. I have never been in a taxi in Bogota. My first time someone snagged me in the terminal and I foolishly followed. He tried to charge me $60, but security at my hotel heard him and stared him down until it dropped to 40 k pesos. Still way too much. I always use the Transmilenio or Uber.
