Yea, this is such bullshit. I was staying at an airbnb and it was simiilar, according to building policy I would have to contact the owner of the airbnb and send the info of the girl before the front desk would let the girl in. The worst part was that this requirement was ONLY for AIRBNB guests staying in the building. If you were just a normal renter, there were no such regulations. Which is completely ridiculous. The host made it out to seem like no big deal, but can you imagine meeting someone at a bar or something and wanting to bring them home and having to message the airbnb host at midnight or 1 am and expecting them to respond in a reasonable timeframe? We should make a list of such buildings as well as list of the good GF ones.

With airbnbs there is no consideration you need to put into it being OK or with having to make nice with the doorman. All you need to do is message the hosts to find out the situation with the building and there are no issues. I've stayed at so many airbnbs. And some hosts will literally tell you to have fun, but if you get drugged it's your problem. If you look at 30 airbnbs in an area, maybe 10 will be an obvious no based on the stated rules. Message the other 20 and you'll find a few that there are no issues.

I've only had to document one of my visitors at one of my first airbnbs, but it was because I didn't do the research / messaging the host ahead of time. And even then it wasnt a problem. I certainly know the types of buildings / doormen / hosts that some of you are talking about. But it is 100% avoidable with some upfront messaging before you book.

The topic of ids is a whole nother thing. But the decent love motels check the ids. In the past if I've had any doubt, I go to a place that I know will ID. And problem solved.

Yup, I stayed at a small boutique hotel in Chapinero. Had tourists but most of the staff didn't have great English. I feel like the heavy American chains are more strict. I made a 3 day stay and made my presence known early as a normal guest, always dressed in business casual and kept quiet. By my 2nd day I didn't get as many looks. I got an Eroticas Bogota girl one evening. So I waited until shift change, made friendly with the door / desk man. Asked about dinner recommendations and tipped him for that which is plausible instead of doing it while the girl comes in. My post history has what I used to do. Never had an issue with that aproach and it took me no more than a few hours of messaging to find a good fit.

There are also buildings with Airbnb that are best of all worlds near the Chapinero casas, easy access to zona t and Santa Fe, and easy access to love motels. And security is there, but doesn't question anything. I used to make recommendations about buildings / listings, but people kept going goldilocks with me so I kind of gave up.

For many. Best of both worlds might be to have your Airbnb but then walk to love motels a few blocks away.

I've read the forum going back 6 months, and given my preference for GFE and short stay, an agency seems like the best bet. I'll still drop by Santa Fe to sightsee, but probably won't partake in anything since strip clubs don't do much for me.

Sounds like you got taken advantage of here too. In Santa Fe the going rate is 40 mil to 50 mil for the street girls. BBBJ is 20 k more.
