My buddy and I rented an apartment Saturday and Sunday nights just north of Calle 85 across from the Four Seasons hotel. It was a perfect base to enjoy the Colombian party scene, Zona T. The area was packed on Saturday, less so on Sunday.

There are four monger clubs in the immediate area. It's no trouble finding them because there are touts everywhere handing out cards, and one guy walked us through three of them. They were all similar: very brightly lit, fairly empty bars with a few guys and 10 to 20 girls. When you enter a bell rings and the girls stand up, pick one, and then they sit down and look bored. A room upstairs costs 200-250 mil pesos an hour, and the girls are from 300-500 mil, maybe quoting more initially.

In Olimpo VIP I hooked up with a pretty 24 year old spinner, Andrea, while my wingman waited for me. Minimal. Pretty sure it was under 5 dollars, World Travel can chime in and tell us exactly. I'm not sure if that was the price per map or for access to all his maps.

Either way, my plan is to start a map with the idea that I will never charge for access and the data underlying the map will always be available and free, anyone can download the data and feel free to start their own map. Should they feel the inclination.

It does not hurt to have one specifically for the newbies but please only indicate the well known and well ruined places.

I agree that if one does a map, this should not to make money but to share with a community.

That being said I have discovered a lot of places that are not on any map over the years and I would be reluctant to add them on a map, my concern is that the places become quickly flooded by american who think they own the world with their dollars and see the places ruined as many places before.

Howdy, I'm doing a quick trip to Bogota in March for a few days. I will be staying in Chapinero.

I've read the forum going back 6 months, and given my preference for GFE and short stay, an agency seems like the best bet. I'll still drop by Santa Fe to sightsee, but probably won't partake in anything since strip clubs don't do much for me.
