I see your main concern is safety. In that case I would stay away from Tinder. Manny times I have heard of really bad things happing from Tinder dates.

As far as being drugged in BOG well it is a problem. You can guard your drink and be careful but I know of one instance of a guy getting drugged from a kiss. They put the doctored drink in in their mouth and administer a French kiss. After all how many mongers can resist a French kiss?

Pre-Covid there used to be some higher class strip places in the north of Bogota. As far as I recall one was called Lola or Lalo. Most girls dressed like hostesses. Prices were way more than SF, but so was the quality.

Any update whether any of those places surived Covid closure and reopened?

I was there years ago, on Cra 15. I've passed the old location many times recently and is now closed but it may have reopened at another location. The set up was a bar with lots of sofas. The girls were hot but WAYYY too expensive. The drinks were way over priced, you had to pay a fine to take the girl out of the club, basically an over priced tourist trap. I confess I let the little head take over one night and took a girl out of there. I got lucky because she stayed most of the night and the sex was over the top. Not usually the case for a place like this.

The Danger in Santa Fe is exaggerated in my opinion. I know many many caucasion guys who have enjoyed SF without problems-- I have shown many around.

Speaking Spanish is more important than skin color. Racial differences are not as big here. Good Luck!!

Normal precautions and common sense is what you need.

Before I came I was told that I'the be an standout target because I'm tall (6' 3") and muscular (not super muscular) but I haven't had any issues with anyone and I've walked outside in Santa Fe and Cali at night with no issues. Idk if the danger is exaggerated or because I'm on the big / giant side for Colombia that people might be less inclined to fuck with me or maybe I just haven't ran into the bad people yet. Going to Cartagena and Medellin next. Maybe my luck will run out there.

Tinder is a method some have used to find victims for robbery. A rather well known example in Medellin a few years back where a visiting professor was drugged and killed after a Tinder date.

I do not know where you are from but that happens in many places, not just Colombia. Guy in Miami meets chick at the club. He brings her back to his place. When he wakes up his Rolex, gold, and diamonds are gone.

Anyway I'm still irritated. I just read a long review from one mongering-blogger who wrote about his experience in Santa Fe and though he liked some clubs there it seems that this is really a dangerous place especially for tourists.

Unfortunately I look as gringo as possible (light skin, blonde hair, blue eyes, well dressed.) Is it only during the night so dangerous or also during the day?

Any tips for me as a naive starter?

I'm 35 year old middle-European and I'm going to Bogota in 2 weeks. Its my first time in South America as I'm going to work in Bogota so I will stay for longer time.

I'm not so much into prostitutes and I will focus more on dating regular chicas but I'm really looking forward to do the MMF-threesome there, also Gangbang would be very nice.

Though I'm learning a lot of Spanish since some months and I already can speak a little bit but for the first time it would be nice to have some gringo-accompany for doing this.

'Yes that's what the security ladies at the entrance request and been refused with only ID. Might be able with a Colombian temporary permit visa though I've never tried since I don't know of any Venezuelan that has those docs'.

'Yep, at security that's what's needed. Even with passport I've seen issues where they were comparing the pictures of the ID with the passport'.

Things must have really changed then because before you could just walk right past the desk and nobody said anything. There were not any security ladies; only concierge and front desk people.

Also, you probably won't find a way to communicate with people unless you have a subscription. You are not allowed to exchange info in the public here. Info is also in my previous posts about easy bitcoin buying and Europe probably has something similar. Its the really only way to meet up with folks on here.
