Closing out Bogota.

Sad to be leaving Bogota, but I think I've done enough here. Have 2 tinder girls interested in maybe coming up to Medellin to visit. Both early 20's and good families so pretty much paying their own way, challenge is them getting leave from work.

Seen a few notes lately on logistics, so here's mine, quickly:

- Only used Servibanca ATMs, they have a $2,000 k limit for overseas cards, which is great. I always decline conversion and get the Visa / Mastercard rate.

- Used LATAM for travel between Bogota and Medellin (Premium). Had to change my flight, and they were slow, but ultimately good to deal with.

- Uber the whole time. Benefit to Taxis (ordered through uber app) is that you can sit in the back rather than in the front – great if you have company.

- AirBnB – the check-in desk thing can be interesting, if you're trying to sign in guests. I had no issues, but as an observation, if you get your guests to act like the resident and head straight for elevator. You can sometimes bypass. My buddy had to sign me in once, hilarious.

Good point, but you have to know the numbers. There are 4 X as many women on seeking as men. In some countries, the ratio is much better for men. A $100 is nothing for men in the USA and a little harder for men in Mexico (though there are more Mexican men on seeking than anywhere), but it is more of a deterrent in Colombia. So in Bogota, you probably have a few hundred men looking at 10,000+ women. Could they be hos elsewhere? I guess but does it even matter?

Thanks for that info. This is really helpful. I went into SA and did an initial scan of those in Bogota. Many of them in fact look good. Of course, I will never know if any of them are catfish, but I would tend filter out those that look too good to be true, such as model photo shoots.

A lot of times if I order a chick off the internet then she will ask where I saw her ad. This is because different sites are known to have different general prices. If I saw her on site A she knows to charge me prices relative to site A and if site B then prices relative to site B. This is why I never tell them which site, but if they give me some high price, I say but your ad says a lower price; because they do not advertise on only one site.

I didn't see anyone asking about vaccine proof in SF, but as I mentioned, I didn't enter any of the clubs. The short time hotels didn't care. I think you could just have a picture of the vaccine card and your picture ID just in case. The police do sometimes just stop people and ask for ID so its good practice to carry a picture ID at least. (e. G. A drivers license if you don't want to carry your passport).

I got cancelled a few times by Uber as well, until I switched my payment from credit card to cash. I was told that these drivers do not like credit card as payment since it will take a while before they seem them from Uber.

I paid extra for them to just come to my hotel for the test. More convenient for me that way. Also, avoid paying for any extra covid test service when purchasing your ticket from Avianca. I made that mistake since there is no communication from Avianca or anybody even up to the day when I am to fly out. Luckily I have scheduled for the test with another company as a backup. Pure money grab from Avianca if I may say so.

From my last trip, Banco Davivienda seems to be the better option for me. Best ATM rates that I had seen, and better yet, it allowed me to withdraw up to 2,000 mil at a time. The only downside is that they only offer the 50 mil cash and no longer the 100 mil. Is 100 mil cash not in circulation anymore? I prefer not to carry around thick wads of cash.

Are they not allowed to legally ask for my vaccination status to fly back home (who knows?) While they can demand to see that for non-Americans? I would have gladly just shown them my vaccination status if they were only to ask if I can just not waste my time signing those damn declaration papers. Anyway, it's weird and I see it as a cover your ass thing by Avianca.

Other than closing time on a Saturday night at Andres Carnes in Chia and not really being able to service the airport, have never had a problem with Uber other than when it wasn't available for a time a couple of years ago. Looks like that may be changing again.

Your observations with showing vaccine proof are pretty much what I expected when they came out with these weeks ago. Rather than pontificating here is just my report from boots on the ground:

SA.

I did hit some Seeking girls. The prices ranged from 150 k to 250 k plus taxi for two to three hours at my room, to 350k for overnight. They ranged from gals living in the southern barrios to a medical student, so quite a wide range actually. I asked them to bring an ID every time and I cancelled an appointment with one girl who said she had lost her ID. They all have an ID (Cedula), so if they don't there is probably something wrong. I do feel that Seeking gals tend to charge more especially if they speak English. One girl asked for 600 k. I'm sure that if you could find the same girls in another way, eg. On Facebook, they will probably charge less. Unless you are Tom Cruise you should expect to pay for Seeking girls. (The whole premise of the platform is an "arrangement" whereby you trade something. E. g. Sex for money). The overnight girl showed up, then at midnight claimed her kid was sick and she had to go...i didnt beleive a word but was happy for her to go actually as she was lackluster. She claimed she was saving money to study english in Seattle.

So I started with about 200 conversations over a year and a half or so. I guess that yielded like 40 dates. 30 were ho types or I just was not interested in pursuing them. There were 10 or so that I pursued, and of those, there were like 5 or so that were sugar baby material IMO and then the one distinguished herself. I like them young and fresh, ideally in the 18-23 yo range. Most of the girls of this age are unemployed, or have shitty low paying job, or study, and many live with their parents. Let's be realistic here, 95%+ SA girls in MDE and BOG of that age are hos, they expect to get paid, because nobody wants to fuck an old gringo fart for free. If they just want to get a good dick and not get paid, they have plenty of options among their Colombian peers. Average gringo monger coming to Colombia is average or below average looking, usually out of shape, older dude who has limited time and budget. Unless you speak Spanish, look fit, are relatively young, spend a lot of time in Colombia and have some disposable cash, dating a hot freebies / non-pro who "can't get enough of your dick" is impossible. Again, I'm talking about an average monger. Elvis, if you can pull it off, congrats, good for you, but I'm sure your situation is different and you are not an average gringo coming down to Colombia for a few days. So suggesting not to discuss price / gifts upfront, or not offer to pay (in other words, treating them like they are not hos but regular women) won't get a monger laid, simply because the girls will not be interested in meeting, that's the reality.
