I was sick with post covid congestion? Weird minor problems—for 10 days – felt a little better. Had to get out, so made it out last night.

I appreciate your maps and hard work. But Santa Fe sucked for me big time as well. I never felt threatened or in danger, but action wise 4 out of 5 chickas did not do well or did not do at all. They kept asking for more and more cash once in and 8 K paid for a room, they basically were asking for more money for something they agreed to beforehand, before we got into room. All 4 provided shitty experience, 1 of 4 decided to do nothing at all unless I pay her on top. I wasn't going to fight anyone for $10-$15, but it just didn't make sense to me to go back to SF. Some of that BS I could attribute to being gringo and newbie and poor Spanish speaker. But after the last such encounter I just bailed and went to use casas in Chapinero. Set price of 40 K for 30 min (which is often less or the same as SF chickas charge, but no negotiating needed, no BS or upcharges once in the room like in SF), BBBJ was 20 K extra discussed or tip, services were decent and chickas in casas were fine. Not all the casas had one I like, but once you walk a bit around Chapinero you could find the one you like. No offense, but SF is not for me. Did I enjoy Bogota? Si. Am I planning to go back? For sure. Would I hunt around SF? No way, casas in Chapinero is the way to go for me.

Last April, on my trip to Cartagena, I drove 3. 5 hours to NYC to catch a Copa flight to Medellin via Panama City. All worked out perfectly. Recently discovered I can drive to my local airport, hop on Spirit, make a connection in Orlando and I'm in Medellin in a little over 8 hours. Despite what I read, I decided to give them a shot on my trip this month. Def keeping my fingers crossed.

Has anyone flown Spirit from the US to Colombia? They seem to have some very inexpensive flights but I have heard horror stories about them stranding people, cancelling flights etc.

Also can anyone recommend a hotel in Santa Fe to rent a room? Although I will stay at the IBIS I HATE that knock at the door and figured if I get my own room in Santa Fe I can eliminate that problem. That knock is a killer and I hate it. Even paying the lady that takes the money extra she still knocks early.

It sounds reasonable. I spent some time in Santa Fe for years and haven't seen as many nice girls as they said.

I would say the quality of talent is average and below average. I have not seen any SW that I would do, but I'm very picky. Most girls smoke cigarettes and smell like an ashtray. I did a few girls at Fiebre and Paisas, all in the 6-6. 5 range, everything covered. I think girls working the clubs are of slightly better quality than SW girls and a bit pricier, but still cheap.

Reached Bogota in the PM. Checked into the hotel and after taking shower, I headed out to Santa Fe. Did multiple rounds are calle 24 where most of the clubs are. I didn't find any club interesting only Troya has some crowd. Lot of street girls all types. Some seems too young to be there. I asked for cedula and some of them could not show it.

With zero Spanish, I am able do quick sessions with couple of girls.

Santa Fe reminds me of Tijuana. May be bit bigger or more girls. But clubs are not good as Hongkong at Tijuana, at least when I went today.

I think Sunday is not good for casas-- SF is best bet for action.

I meant to say at in my previous answer that there are usually 1-2+ clubs that are happening on Sunday. YMMV.

Santa Fe is not for everybody.

There are rampant police shakedown, robbery, violence and stealing by the girls targeted at gringos. There are so many tricks using alcohol, sex, drugs, ignorance, ego, sympathy, etc there.

Some of gringos I know were victimized, but they don't post incidents here out of shame.

Some of the posters praising Santa Fe are making money by bringing gringos to the area and guiding / helping them and receiving cut from service establishments.

So they are not partial or unbiased posts.

There are much safer and cleaner venues / services for a similar or slightly higher price in the North and Chapinero.
