For example, my initial plan was a trip to Rio, which I've visited before. But was going to make a side trip to Sao Paolo specifically for Scandallo. Anything similar to warrant a trip to BOG? (I know there's oi Scandallo there; I'm just looking for something extra if this is my last hurrah.).

Just sayin' It takes 4 more hours to get to Brazil. I think you know there is nothing in Bogota and very little in Medellin (SA or La Isla sorting thru the plastic) nothing like Brazil. Alas you don't have to go to Scandallo to find a 10 in Sao Paulo, some are off the charts. Quality girls are less expensive than Colombia, although far from cheap.

Medellin has much nicer scenery and girls are hit or miss but they ARE there, it's just not point and shoot like Brazil. Cartagena might be nice also. I plan to go there on my next trip.

If this was my last trip I would go to Rio / Sao Paulo and never return. Right now it's summer and too hot for me because I want to do some island hoping and cruises.

Looks like the new mayor is shaking up Cartagenas Centro clubs, don't know if it's a complete shutdown or relocation.

Could it lead to more talent coming to Bogota? I only want to CAR but the girls seemed softer around the edges so I don't see them going to Santa Fe maybe the Usaquen, Chapinero clubs.

Here's my advice for newcomers, from the limited time I have spent in Colombia:

1. Be cautious. Colombia is a very dangerous country, and Colombians will be the first to admit this. Bogota has a high violent crime rate, and if you look in the Medellin thread you'll see that it's absolutely full of reports of robberies, druggings, kidnappings, and deaths. Whether it's getting mugged on the street, held hostage by a fake taxi, or drugged by hookers, there are lots of dangers to look out for. Don't take unneccessary risks that make it easier for bad people to take advantage of you or hurt you ("No dar papaya".) Do your research on this forum and elsewhere beforehand about the threats here and how to best avoid them.

2. Learn as much Spanish as you possibly can before you arrive. It will help you get around easier, and will improve your interaction with the chicas.

3. Take Ubers everywhere you need to go. They're much safer than walking around (especially at night). Uber is also safer than taxis, which can sometimes overcharge naive tourists, and there are even stories of fake taxis robbing and kidnapping unsuspecting passengers. Ubers are so ridiculously cheap here in Colombia, so there's no reason not to.

4. If you don't already use Whatsapp, install it and start learning to use it. It's what everyone down here uses to communicate. Go to a store for one of the local phone companies (Claro, MoviStar, etc.) to get a sim card for a local number and service if you will be staying for a few weeks or more.

5. In Bogota, the north end of the city (Usaquen, Zona T, Parque 93, etc.) is the rich and "safe" area. The neighborhoods get poorer and more dangerous the further south you go. Chapinero isn't too bad. Candelaria, Santa Fe, and other central neighborhoods are bad. Further south than those are worse.

6. Working girls are available all over the city through escort services / websites, dating apps, massage parlors / spas / strip clubs /"casas" (ho' houses), and the street. The highest concentration I know of are in Santa Fe and Chapinero.

A few weeks ago when I was staying in Chapinero, I was walking around a little after 9 in the morning, looking for some of the casas I saw listed on the puti mapa. They're a little easier to find (with the help of the map) than I feared they would be, since you can see their doors left slightly open, with loud music playing from inside (which is really noticeable in the morning).

I was expecting a more house-like feel to these "casas". Even though they look like houses / apartments from the outside, on the inside they're like clubs: dance club / bar furniture, serving drinks, dim lighting, loud music (and often multiple tv screens showing porn.) They ask you if you'd like a drink when you walk in. When you tell them you'd like to see the chicas, a guy starts clapping and yelling for "the dancers" to come present themselves.

Most of the places seemed to operate from 9 am to 11 pm. These were the establishments I found open after a few minutes of walking around, before I decided to stick with one and get myself a chica:

Palma Real (Cra. 15 #66-17):

This is a green house with a white door. There was a guy with an umbrella standing outside, inviting men to come inside to check out girls. Supposedly there are more casas on the opposite side of the street, but I couldn't tell if they were open or not. When I went inside for the chicas presentation, there were 4 working at that time. They didn't seem particularly excited to be there, maybe it was too early in the morning for them, LOL. One chica with braces at least was smiling at me, but I was turned off by the general lack of enthusiasm and friendliness, so I left.

Angelitas (CL. 64 #15-16):

Bar 64 (CL. 64 #14-66):

On the same street as Angelitas and Rosquillas, about a block away. Seemed open from the outside, but I didn't look inside this one. On a different evening I saw a group of guys hanging out in front of this place, so it seems to be popular / active.

Rosquillas 64 (CL. 64 #15-30):

Another establishment just a few doors down from Angelitas. I'm heading back to MDE for possibly the last time. I considered several other locations but none of them beat Medellin for my style. But I'm still in the mood for something different or new. I thought maybe I could take a trip to Bogota or CTG while in country. The flights are cheap, even if it's just a 2 day side trip. So I've read ALOT of pages here re: BOG. Frankly, I'm not overly enthusiastic. Am I missing something? Sounds like Fiebre or Troya might be the most attractive options. I'm not into SGs much. Casas are hit or miss for me; not worth the hassle of an extra couple flights, imo. Is there anything in Bogota that would be significantly better than what is available in MDE?

In my experience in Santa Fe you can hit it off real well with a Venezuelan street hottie and be denied entrance to Tequendama Suites even if she has a Venezuelan ID proving her age. A friend and I took our premier trip to CO a couple of weeks ago. OUr route was Bogo to Medellin to Cartagena and back to Bogo. We liked the food scene in Bogo, but really that's about it. I know some on here like the clubs (Troyas, Fiebre, and others), and we checked them out but I'd give them a hard pass unless you're desperate. The area does not feel safe. The three clubs we went into before Fiebre were seedy and dirty. Fiebre was okay, and the door staff were super pleasant. But still didn't care for the area very much. We stayed in Hotel be Virrey on the first leg. Small rooms, but nice hotel. Great area of town. Lots of bars / clubs / restaurants. We stayed at Tequendama Suites on the last leg. Also liked it. Rooms large and well-kept. Area around the hotel not nearly as interesting or as pleasant as Parque Virrey area near Hotel be Virrey. Views of the mountains were great from T. Suites. We brought our own girls from Medellin on the last leg. I had checked out Seeking.com before we went to Bogo, but prices were high for ST and even higher for LT, either that or the girls were looking for permanent support. So we didn't end up seeing anyone from Seeking.

And there's the kicker: if you're going to Colombia to have fun, Medellin and Cartagena have so much more to offer. Yes, in the way of female companionship, but not limited to that. Food was excellent. Lots of tourist things to do. Communa 13. Walking around El Poblado. Even the Escobar museum (which is a bit of a rip-off). As to the females, well, just look out your door and they are waiting for you. Or hang out in one of the bars / restaurants off Parque Lleras and just watch the goings on. And the pricing is very reasonable compared to my home country (USA). Cartagena has a ton of things to do, and the ladies are just waiting for you to say "hola" and then off you go. Beach and snorkelling in Carta. Seaside meals. World Heritage site. Etc. Nothing like this in Bogo.

So, next trip, we have decided to give bogo a pass, and just start off in Medellin.

BTW, if you are in Medellin, there are some massage shops that people on this forum have mentioned, including (especially) Energy Spa. I thought Energy was a big "meh. " The massage itself wasn't much, and the more interesting parts were mechanical and boring. Nothing erotic about it. Can say though that the place itself is nice. Large, private rooms with shower, very clean, pleasant staff. But honestly, you are better off just grabbing one of the massage girls in Poblado / Provenza. Had a nice experience with one of those.

Tried it, didn't work.

I have 3 whatsapp numbers and one of them is with textnow. I think I had to upgrade to the $5 a year plan. Don't be cheap it's worth it. Plus they send you a sim to activate it as an option on a phone and not only via the app.
