So I'm a little surprised. Santa Fe is open despite the 24 hour quarantine? No problems from the Police? How does one get there from other parts of the city without getting pulled over by the police?

There are restrictions in Bogota, During weekends you are supposed to stay home accept to get supplies and exercise for an hour. A lot of people do stay home so things are slower.

In Santa Fe many of the girls live in the upper floors of the hotels or in the area-- They are not supposed to be on street but police are allowing it-- Obviously the hotels are paying off-- there are police in the street and guys come in unmolested. I was there for 2+ hours today, walking the strolls flirting with girls-- less today than last night, I would say at east 100+ girls total for both areas. Plenty of hot chicas for me. In the past they would roust girls chasing them off one corner and they would just go to another corner-- have not seen that happening at all.

Actually when I got there today there was an old guy singing with his electronic back-up and he was quite entertaining-- al the girls were laughing at his comedy music routine.

Police not really stopping anyone.

-If you are coming from anywhere the police are not bothering many people, They had a roadblock on Cr 15 but were only stopping a few cars looked like they were looking for vehicle violations-- I hear in Medellin they will stop gringos in cabs and search them-- one guy I know had a bunch of 2 c or coke and ended up paying like 500 mil.

ON Monday the strict restrictions are over until Friday-- Mondays are off the Hook.

The powers that be don't want pictures or video of temporary morgues, or people in hospital hallways. This is all about controlling the visuals.

By two months, I meant in the beginning before things got out of hand. The problem is that people are people, it's the human element. By asking people to simply wear a mask they somehow think it infringes on their rights. Now, if I had come down with the virus, chances are I'd be sick for a while and get over it, like most folks. But, it's the others that you have to think about, the weakest links in the chain. However, that's something most people don't think of. It's common with people to say, "I got mine, to hell with the other guy. " Sure there may be some show in all of this, although you might have differing opinions with the working class in India and Brazil.

To keep things related to Bogota, things won't return to normal until people do their part. Right now it's PCR tests, masks, and mandates. Not only are they a hassle, but the cost of those tests can add up. That's money that could be better spent on another hotel room, another meal, or another beauty. If given the choice, how many people on this board would rather have a few hours with three beauties, or spent that money on a test to prove you were negative in the first place? That's the game we have to play if this thing is downplayed and not taken seriously. It might be overreacting by the powers that be, but that's the reality. Remember when you were a kid, and you said to your dad, "But, that's not fair" ? And, he responded with, "No, but that's the way it is. " I'm jumping through the hoops right now just like everybody else is for my own trips. That's what it is today; who knows what it'll be tomorrow.

Nobody wants things to return to normal in Colombia more than me. I can't count how many times I've been to Colombia, I have filled up 3 passports with international stamps. I've been to Colombia 4 times since they opened the airport and it was nothing like before. I wash my hands, wear my mask, I even got my 2 Pfizer shots in February. The death toll in the USA has stayed about the same for 2018,2019 and 2020 so where's the crisis? Dude you must be brain dead to think things will get back to normal in Colombia or the USA for that matter in 2 months. The reason it won't is because the powers that be, DON'T WANT IT TO GO BACK! Open your eyes and get used to it. There is no reason for this shit. I look at the flight attendants wearing there red gowns, like haz mat suits, same goes for many places in Bogota, the airport personnel look like their in the movie Species. Jjaj And what exactly is that supposed to do?? Nothing but to give you the feeling that your in deep shit when its 90% show. I have a stable of very hot, non pro, mommies, students in Bogota that I could get to see because of all the restrictions and curfew's and cedulas and BULLSHIT as I watch my friends beautiful hotel in Chico Norte slowly going broke and why? Because of a created crisis to control us and keep us from resuming our lives.

Great Post. I have been telling my friends the same thing. Many do not want things to go back normal. It is so sad to see the damage that is being done to the world's economy and for what. The crisis should have never gotten to you this point. Far more lives will be lost from being financially ruined then the virus. This will go down as one of the worst handle crisis ever. So sad.

Yep it was a hit with her but I did not realize the space a heating blanket takes up when you try to fold it up, all those heating elements are bulky and can be heavy with the whole blanket.

BTW. Fast forward 13 years later to today 2021 and that special ATF favorite rolla in Bogota has been living in Argentina for the past 8 or 9 years and from time to time we say Hi and catch up and no she did not need to take the heating blanket to Argentina but rather has gifted it to her mother who now lives in Fusagasug, Cundinamarca and still enjoying the comforts of it to this day.
