I am okay with complying with the requirements at the airports and temp checks at hotels / clubs, do understand the need for it. I seriously doubt we would return to the good ol days as you put it. I think we all have to learn to live with the 'new normal'.

After RTFF, I have couple of quick questions. Two of the most mentioned 'GF friendly' hotels. San Francisco de Ass and IBIS. Can you walk to from the two hotels or do you still require taxis to go to chapinero and SF street scene? In Medellin, I really hated the traffic from Poblado to Centro everyday.

While I would certainly hit the norte clubs and massage parlors, after reading reviews I think I would primarily be day casa and street scene guy. Considering the multitude of mongering options in BOG, I do not see a need to develop an FB chica list in BOG? Any pointers will be appreciated.

A lot of guys like Teqendama Suites (Not Teq. Hotel). Chapinero is a good 2-3 miles north you could walk or take Transmilenio which runs through Chapinero There are casa near stops Marly, Calle 57, Calle 63, Flores, Calle 72, Calle 76 or there were-- Stay on Transmilenio to Calle 100 and you can walk to La Meezzanine.

After many years in Bogota before the virus vs post virus, I have to say ' your no fun anymore' If you've never been, then you won't long for the good old days. For me my 4 trips to Bogota since Oct. 2020 can not compare to pre covid, probably true for all monger spots. But for me the whole covid thing has worn me out. The PCR tests the antigen tests, all my favorite restaurants closed, the constant checking of documents over and over at the airport. At the door of El Dorado, at the check-in counter again at immigration and again at your departure gate. Sorry but for me the fun is gone. I realize some guys here don't want to publish anything negative about mongering in Colombia you all have some vested interest in keeping things going but for me I'll wait for all the nonsense to go away and and let my novia come here to the states until it does go away, if ever!

Whenever I come to Bogota / Colombia, I bring a portable heater with me. It is very useful, and the girls love it.

Bogota is very windy, as well as cold. I personally love rainy days though.

LOL the fun is all gone because people are checking your documents at an airport during a pandemic? Closed restaurants I get, but complaining about starting and ending your trip with two covid tests and a bit of extra hassle in the airport is just not a big deal.

I didn't understand the post when I read it either. If those small things are more hassle than the fun you have here, then you must not be having too much fun!

I've only flown in once, but that shit didn't seem to add much if any time at all to my exit of the airport. I'd understand if there were a forced quarantine, but there isn't. I've had no issue with closed restaurants accept maybe just a very few during actual weekend lock downs. But I've also not been here pre covid, so maybe there's a bunch of great restaurants that have never opened back up that I'm unaware of having missed out on.

As far as the cold. It seems most Airbnb don't include heaters at all. But it's not just cold. It gets extremely damp here. Thought of buying dehumidifier on Amazon. I've had some. Powdered sugar left out one day, and it was slush the next morning. I've since purchased little dehumidifier buckets and a heater. It's much more comfortable in my place now. But still slightly wet in the air so I may get an actual dehumidifier also.

I have a week for are and are next month and planning to get down to BOG. This will be my first trip here although I have been to Colombia multiple times (mainly Medellin).

I understand the curfew situation, yet to experience one. Hoping that things will normalize by mid May. For a first time monger traversing and exploring Santa Fe during these times, what are the recommendations? Enhanced safety while walking? I am not much of a "hole up in your hotel and do PP, ME, MP other escorts type" guy but do plan to order escorts in the evening / night. Love to explore the city and scene on foot during day time.

The answer is no. Medellin is way smaller than Bogota and the monger options are much less in the same proportions. It's just that Medellin is nicer to live, nicer climate, better organized city, more relaxed people. So if you plan to overwinter or retire, Medellin is a better option. If you are just on a short term monger trip, Bogota is a better option.

Bogota has about 9 million people and roughly half of them are women, I like those odds. There is safety in numbers. There has been lots of info on Medellin for years, the amount of gringos steadily increasing in Medellin, the so called ethnic cleansing from a few years ago. Too many gringos to be considered anything of a novelty. Bogota has sooo many women everywhere that you can begin to peel away the layers to discover some amazing women, who are more than willing to get to know a gringo for the first time, SF not withstanding. Plus and minuses to both. What ever floats your boat.

Last weekend I stayed in a nice hotel. On the website they had a picture of a fireplace in the room. Monday morning I was kind of cold and could not figure out how to turn the fireplace on. My nurse chick called downstairs to ask. They said it runs on oil and will cost 35,000 pesos to use and will last 1 hour. Fuck that.

It is not that it is really cold in Bogota, but the steady cool temperature translates to cold. Like right this minute my city is the exact same temperature as Bogota. In my house it is comfortable without any heat or air conditioning because it was warmer all day plus the house is insulated. In Bogota it is even worse when you are sitting inside of a hotel room for hours. You can not hide from the cold. The room I had last week was encompassed with floor to ceiling glass windows on 3 sides. Besides it being cold, it was hell pulling down all those shades. And I hate getting into a taxi there and the driver has the windows down. They do that same shit in Lima.

So just pay for a longer time than the standard 20 minutes or whatever. Get the 30 minutes or 1 hour price or you can even ask how much for all night.

As soon as I get a chick's number I send a message in whatsapp saying from my name and see if she received it. Maybe you do not have internet outside though.

Lima can be the worst! I remember I was there, don't remember the time of year but it was cold and damp 24/7. I would hang my towel up after my shower and the damn thing would be just as wet the next morning. Sucked.

Bogota is hit or miss. I always get the same room in the back of my hotel in Chico Norte. It has sun almost all day coming in the window. If it's hot that day I close the shades to keep the sun out. But most times an open window and some filtered sun make for a comfy room. Check and see if your hotel has portable radiators, many do, my hotel will supply them if requested. Its enough to keep the chill out.

Can Medellin really be better than Bogota? I know the weathers better and I hear the women are less about strict rules, and clock watching. But are there more options and ways to mongering at the price point that Bogota offers?

She asked me were I came from and adviced me to take care in the neighborhood. She was obviously trying to flirt with me, and even showed me her gun (remember, I was 15 years younger). She then gave me some description of the Santa Fe scene, listing me the names of the major brothels. Can you believe that, cops that give prostitution tips!
