Hi,

Long time lurker and I'm jumping back in the lifestyle after over 10 years inactive. Never was a hardcore hobbyist and only know a little about my local NYC scene. I'm travelling to Bogota for the 1st time in late May or June and I want to have the best info I can for when out I'm there. Any help is appreciated. Thank you for all the good post and keep up the good work.

P.S. I am doing my homework, reading post, ect. No need to remind me of that. Not looking for someone to do the work for me and I'm willing to do as much as I can on my own. I'll play nice, please do the same.

I have never used a sleeve and I've been using my CC for years in Colombia. I have used it on Uber, Hooters and Buffalo Wild wings, never a problem. Carrying cash in Bogota is not the best idea either. What I do is keep most of my cash in a account without a debit card and only transfer as much cash as I need into the debit card. I've had more problems on Seeking Arrangement with an online cash app than I have anywhere else. Stay away.

I put this in my blog but just to be thorough I posting in each city report thread.

Here is a chart that shows city by city testing locations, type of test and test costs. As well as turnaround times.

Is the testing ctr. Just below the car AMP up to departing flights? Is it an easy walk up to the terminal?

Very simple, as you enter the airport grounds it is the out buildings on the left. Right across from the bus stop-- I believe that is test center 1 as that is where I picked when I made my appointment.

Departures are on the 2nd floor-- I think it is easy to get there. You must make an appointment on.

I read on the us embassy site "Travelers are expected to quarantine for 10 days or 7 days with a negative test 3-5 days after arrival."

I get the impression that it is mandatory to quarantine. From what I can find on other sites, I thought that you just need a negative covid test within 96 hours and no quarantine required. Can someone confirm?

Yes, I suppose it is better as long as you pass the antigen test-- The PCR test takes 2 days or so and costs $100? The Antigen test costs $40 or so.

Sounds like a great alternative to running around the city before your travel date. I'd much rather show up at El Dorado a few hours early for my flight and get everything handled at one time. Good heads up.

Mississippi and Texas just relaxed the mandatory mask law and no longer require the public to wear masks. Hopefully the rest of the country will follow suit. If that happens maybe we can dump these required asinine tests to travel.
