I saw him drink a whole bottle of vodka on Thursday-- That girl and I had a small portion of that-- he was throwing money around-- They love him at Paisas.

Sorry if this all sounds like basic stuff, but I've only ever been to Paisa, and certainly wouldn't be going back if 30 k is the standard price for all beers, considering you can get laid on Santa Fe for not much more than that!

I think it was no more than 6 mil when I was there a couple of years ago. Next time get your beer directly from the bartender. You are less likely to be ripped off that way. I think the drink prices often are posted somewhere.

How much salary is that for a mall clerk there, 3 yrs?

What is that equivalent to in the USA? 50 k? 75 k?

I'm also guessing you can get killed for 100th of that, mongering drunk carrying fat wads is asking for trouble.

He's lucky he didn't get hurt, there was a story similar in the USA several yrs back.

Guy has hooker in his room, he passes out she calls some dudes over, he wakes up while they are robbing him.

Long story short, he resisted and they stabbed him to death.

Much better ordering a Club Colombia Rojo, a good beer for a reasonable price and as stated above, don't be afraid to ask the price. Also remember your in a overpriced environment. I rarely go to places like Lalos, they charge crazy prices for both booze and pussy.

A violation on so many levels when on a trip. I know a guy in Rio that forces every girl he brings back to his apartment to open here purse and check her pockets before leaving. He's never lost anything.

Those precautions don't do much good if the guy is passed out drunk. If you really need to get that drunk, buy a bottle, lock the door, and drink alone in your room. If you can't control how much you drink, either don't drink or hire yourself a Slapper.

A Slapper is a big guy who goes with you everywhere. Any time you're about to do something stupid, like drink a few more shots when you're already trashed, he slaps you until you're either making making better decisions, or you're unconscious. Then he drags you home and throws you into bed.

Last night the SGs were out in force-- I really like hitting the SGs more because I find more fresh face college types out there-- much less silicone.

On a sad note a guy I know got really drunk took a girl from Piasa to his hotel-- left his safe open and she walked out with 7 GS-- See photo.

Rule #1 don't get really drunk when picking up hookers. It's all risk and no reward. Either you can't get it up, can't get it off, or you end up sleeping through the whole thing and wake up with all your shit missing.

Can't say I blame the girl. If I found someone dead drunk passed out with the equivalent of 2 years of my income, in cash, sitting beside him, I'd certainly be tempted.

I was in Paisa club last night (Saturday night, so maybe prices are higher? First time I've ever been to Santa Fe.

I ordered 3 x Corona beers, and was charged 90,000 COP.

Is this standard, or was I ripped off? Not the absolute end of the world considering it's $25, but if it's a known rip off club, I'll know not to go there in future. It certainly is very expensive for Colombia if that's a legitimate price!

I don't speak much Spanish at all, first time in Colombia, first time in Sante Fe etc, so it's entirely possible they ripped me off, but thought I'd run it past you guys first.

Don't order Corona. Aguila and Pilsen are the typical Colombian cheap beers, although I'm sure they're going to cost more in the clubs.

If you want the better Colombian beer, try Club Colombia. The top end of Colombian beers would be BBC (Bogota Beer Company) or Tres Cordilleras. You can probably get either of those for about the same as a Corona.

No you were not -- corona beer costs more in clubs-- some may charge 20 mil but 30 mil is typical too.

You should ask prices when you order-- just like in other places waiters may add a bit as they do not always get tipped.
