This was an eye-opener. Both strolls felt like a busy shopping mall. Customers of all ages, shapes and sizes were everywhere browsing the aisles of chicas. The next city is Zipaquira, and to me as of now, this city is separate from Bogota / Chia even though it is not that far from Chia. I think it will be swallowed up by Bogota at some point. The big draw there is the tourist attraction of the salt cathedral, but I thought the valley the city is in is just amazing to see, and this was the first city where I tasted that amazing farm fresh Colombian food you do not get in the big cities. This city IMO is really worth seeing.

Bogota has not been overshopped like Medellin or Cartagena but you still see tourists. The Andino region is going to be swarming with foreigners. It is going to be much less in Chia and Zipaquira. It is 17 miles from Chia to the Andino region but during the day, it is an hour's drive. I think you could do it in half an hour at night with no traffic, but it might be hard to get women to come out there.

When we returned to the city, my gal and I strolled around Simon Bolivar park. That is a great place to take a woman if you need some fresh air and a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is like Bogota's version of Central Park.

Maybe the rain kept the pollution down but it seems like every time I return I like Bogota more and more. Thing is yes the women in Medellin are a little more attractive, but it is like comparing women from Miami to those in New York. If you could find equally attractive women in Miami and New York, wouldn't you want the women from New York for their intelligence and sophistication? Bogota is New York, and Medellin is Miami.

Bottom line is Bogota IMO is still the best city in the world to find a hot woman.

Customs on the way out has changed. They are trying to automate everything. I went in the biomig line. The facial recognition is not up to US Global Entry standards. I had to take my photo and scan my passport three times until I was let through. Maybe it will be faster now that I am in their system. Still, it seemed much faster than the conventional route. Mexico City and Cancun have had the biomig scanners as well. I know Medellin does as well. Thing is Bogota is really pushing it. They had like 20 or 30 scanners there. As of now, Biomig is not an option for entry at least for foreigners. I think Cartagena has only two scanners on arrival and one on departure.

Don Carlos said that half of Miami is in Medellin every weekend, and I can see why. Flights are cheap and relatively short to Colombia. Thing is I went through Lauderdale on the way there and Orlando on the way back. If you have a choice, I would recommend Orlando first, Miami second, and Lauderdale last. It is not just the airport. The customs people in Orlando are way nicer than the other two airports, and there is space. In Lauderdale, you are always on top of someone else.
