    Yes, depends.

Google "Leandro coffee Bogota" Divino Cafe.

The guy gives an awesome 2 hour coffee course. His own brand rates 86 internationally, which is right up there.

Great coffee, great course, great experience, about $20.

Or just go there and drink the coffee. Some of the best.

Some other good cafes around if you know what you want and where to look.

And plenty of rubbish coffee around mostly everywhere.

Uber, easytaxi, beat, and indriver. They are all good sometimes one might work better than the other. It doesn't matter if you speak Spanish as long as you have the correct address in. If you have an emergency and have to take a taxi take a pic of his info and let him see you doing it so he knows not to pull anything.

    Bogota Questions.

I'll be in Bogota at the Hotel Tequendama in June for a week. I can't wait to get there and try out the Santa Fe scene. But I also like bringing lightly used escorts back to my own room where I can negotiate for what I want. In doing my research for the trip (my first trip to Colombia), I came up with some questions that I hope the community can help with:

    1. "Prepagos" - WTF? I don't want to prepay for an escort. Is this just how things work in Bogota? Or can I bring a prepago chica over and pay her afterwards?

    2. Colombian Cupid. How do I know which girls are down for p4 p? Since I only have a week in Bogota, I don't plan on any courtships. Is SA the better source for independents?

    3. For those who have been to Tijuana, how does the Santa Fe scene compare to the street girls in Tijuana's Zona Norte in terms of quantity, quality, and looks?

    Thanks.

    I cannot believe this.

Taxis are fine but have your address written down for them.

I use taxis off the street dozens of times no problem.

What I found tho, is it's easier if you have your hotel address written down for them.

I was hammered every night leaving Santa Fe and it saves times to just jump in the cab and give them the paper with the address on and away you go.

Sure, you can explain to them or tell them where you want to go, but if you give them the piece of paper there is no confusion and no problem. Simple.

Colombian food is almost a deterrent to entering the country for me. But, I don't consider Santa Fe to be "pussy paradise" compared to places I've visited in Thailand or Brazil (though the girls are certainly attractive and quickies are cheap). So, staying near Santa Fe is not a priority for me, if I visit Bogota again. I've attached a photo of the view of Santa Fe from my room for purposes of veracity.
Nope I did not pay too much matter-of-fact I use booking.com all the time, and also used it to book my room at the SF hotel, the $28. USD I paid was because it was a weekend rate (Friday) a few weeks back closer to a busier time.

Yes the coffee in Colombia sucks, why? Because the good stuff is exported out to Europe and USA. Yes the Colombian cuisine is bland but at least they don't serve the dead cats and dogs like they do in Thailand, tasty huh, hehehehe.

I mention tongue in cheek that SF is pussy paradise and wow you been other places, urrrrrrrrr.

I have never had a problem hailing cabs on street. But things have happened once in a while.

A lot of guys stay at Ibis Museo it is a few blocks from SF in a nice business area. San Francisco is another. One that is a bit more is Teqendama Suites, I'm told their is no guest fee during the day.

    Girls need to have ID.

Many budget hotels for less in the area.

Troyas, Paisas, Fiebre, Lyons are nicer clubs the area the girls will be charging $60000+. Full contact lap dances are $20000+ Beers $7000+.

    Piscina is more I think.

I like those above but I find super hot girls in the other clubs Venus, La Casona, Atonis, Texas and California. Girls $50000+. They have newer girls and sex shows. Full contact lap dances are $10000-$15000. These clubs have cheaper beer $5000+.
    Hats off!

That makes my day, I am going to land in Bogota on 30th May and leave to Medellin by 31st Night. Of course I mentioned here before, I speak only English!

Lets see how it goes, mostly going to stay in Ibis! Is guest allowed here? And with your experience, how much cash should I carry.

Might sound like stupid, but just to be clear. And to be safe. Not to miss a girl.

If comfort is a priority, try IBIS Museo next time. I guess you can't go wrong with IBIS anywhere in the world.

    Hey Trifecta,

Thanks for the props. I think you will be pleased to come to Bogota.

The weather can be a bit rainy but you will not sweat your butt off. Also is a bit easier on the wallet. New girls all the time here.

We all have annoyances with our tolerance of street and hotel noise and quality of black out curtain and such, frankly I might be immune to these annoyances. The price is right as 2 weeks ago I paid $28.00 USD a night which included a good breakfast and secure parking for my car at no cost. Good deal.

    Just my two pesos.

That is why I travel with my own eye shades, ear plugs, zip-up travel pillow, and blanket that I stole off of an airplane. I travel enough to know not to depend on anyone else for my own comfort.

Well, the curtains over the large window are thin and my room faced the east towards the sunrise, which woke me up at the wrong time (daylight). Okay, the noise was bad too, as there was some loud construction going on at an adjacent building. I'd been out til 3 AM, so I had a hangover and with little sleep I was wrecked for most of that day. If I had stayed on the opposite side, I would not have had the sun shining directly into my room, but there is the noise from busy Carrera 10 to deal with. The Transmilenio runs directly down this one and the traffic is heavy here. This place needs some serious double pane glass and blackout drapes before I return. The free breakfast was okay but this is Colombia, so bring your own salsa with you if you want some flavor with your food. I can vouch for the convenience of the place to Santa Fe. Its just over five minutes walk with my long legs (though I do tend to walk fast at night in these kind of places). There is another nearby hotel that I've read great reviews of, Hotel Europa at calle 23 # 13-30. I will likely try it next time, if there is a next time (I was in Brazil last month and the standards for my hobby were raised somewhat). Otherwise, I might suggest staying up in Chapinero in a neighborhood you'd actually want to stay in, and just take a cab to Santa Fe since they are so cheap.

Biggest problem I had was the toilets are very small and close to the sink. Hard to reach around and wipe my butt. That is the situation in all of Colombia. The people are, on average, smaller. Toilets are always the smaller round seats, and not elongated. The toilet paper dispensers always take 6 inches of the stall away. Hard to wipe.

I had a room on the other side of the hotel, not too bad. Its economy, like a Motel 6. Location and Breakfast was one of the highlights.
