SEarlier, guys were arguing about girls in Santa Fe and in Northern club like Lido, well, this is what happened to me, while in Lido, I ran into 2 girls that I met and chatted with the night before at Troya in Santa Fe. They were a little surprised seeing me in Lido, same was I. I talked to them again, and of course the question came up why. They told me for the higher price they can get in Lido. I didn't see them got picked that night when I left close to 3 AM, but there are definitely girls work at both places and charge very differently. As I said before, there are more high end girls in Lido, but it's not difficult to find girls of same physical quality in SF and pay a lot less if you don't mind the area.

THIS! PLEASE pay attention people! Stop overpaying in those clip joints in the north. ALL of these girls, and I mean ALL of them, work Chapinero and downtown as well, for that sure money. ALL. OF. THEM.

Thanks to all you guys who have given me useful advice, and I know I've asked too many questions.

I wouldn't think twice about going to Medellin or Cartagena for example, and wouldn't ask so much about safety. But Bogota seems very different, and doesn't get many tourists. I'm certainly not risk averse, have been to many parts of the world and have given my advice about them here.

I've got a bit defensive though here as a few posters just seem to like making you paranoid and confusing you. For example BlueCar's story about the 'Paseo Millionaria' when according to Jjbee62 this hasn't happened for years in Bogota, and there was no need to even mention it, as it hadn't even happened to his friend! Then today BKKguru giving me a detailed explanation of how people would spike your drinks or food, doesn't tell you how to avoid this happening, just makes you more paranoid about buying a drink / food etc!

I'll come to Bogota and stay at the hotel for a few days. If I don't feel I can do the kind of trip I want to, I'll go somewhere else in Colombia after that and not bother with my Airbnb. It is supposed to be a vacation after all! I'm also a very sociable guy when not mongering, so won't enjoy it either if have to constantly fly under the radar and not be myself. I generally do my mongering solo though, going around to nightclubs in taxis with a gang of other guys is not my scene. So if I feel too limited by the cultural norms, poverty, implied or real dangers there, Bogota will not be the place for me.

I'm firmly on the side of Enternational and Jjbee here. I've been living here on and off for a decade and a half now. Those "paseos millonarios" are a thing of the past.

People spike drinks all over the planet. Just don't ever walk away from a drink and then come back to it and you'll be fine. Also don't let an unknown girl motorboat you.

Thanks guys for your advice! The only problem is I'm starting my stay at a hotel downtown near Santa Fe, so if I want my first experience of the City to be in the north, I'll have to take the transmilenio or taxi there for the first few days. Parkinsons, that's a great suggestion re. the biking tour, as I'm into cycling anyway. Have already checked it out, I won't let this worry get me down. Anyway, if I don't like Bogota I can go elsewhere. I'm planning on staying a month in Colombia after all. Actually, will be staying in an Airbnb after my hotel, won't want to bring a chica back there. That's why I asked where the daytime motels (with hourly rates) etc are in Chapinero, but nobody answered me on that. Any ideas? By Mezzanine, you mean the chica joint that has been mentioned earlier?

All around Cll 64 west of Av Caracas there are tons of great options for hourly motels.

Went to Lido last night, best I've seen in Colombia so far. It's in the North of Bogota, close to Park 93 street area. Amazing selection on Saturday at 2 AM, I'd say easily 80 top notch girls, huge space, feels like you're in a club in Miami it's so posh. Girls are pretty, all very well dressed, high-end. Beers are 50 K. I understood the girl fee is 250 K + a girl asked for USD $250 all night. I managed to get couple of numbers, keep in mind some girls said not allowed to give numbers. I didn't ask girl drink prices, I imagine it's double. Great place if you've got 300-500 bucks to burn on a night. Anyone else had other experiences? I am yet to visit Santa Fe, this place is a complete opposite.

In Zona T as I mentioned there are several clubs, last night visited El Padrino (about 20 girls) and a larger selection is at Club Olimpo. Street hustlers will find it for you whether you like it or not.

Hotel Dann Norte: awesome. They took girl's ID and then phoned me when she was leaving if everything was ok. Highly recommend this hotel.

Woodman, got to agree a complete shill, yes I partied in that area about 10 years ago but the prices now are stupid and as you point out it is all about marketing, you can take any of the Sante Fe cuties, like the ones you saw me partying with last October when we met in Sante Fe, put a nice sexy dress on them with some nice high heel shoes along with a hair do and make up an then BAM they now are the 9 and 10 at places like Lido, no shit.

Read your post about Lido after I posted mine. I guess there is a price you pay for safety factor, but then again these are some crazy prices I've been quoted last night.

I haven't noticed a lot of Bogota babes on Facebook (there are some). They definitely are on Twitter. Medellin girls are on Facebook en mass.

It's not just Facebook. Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat along with live streaming apps are being used by escorts to get their info in front of potential customers. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as just typing in a search term and having all the working girl accounts pop up.

First, you need to establish a presence. That means accounts that show some activity, preferably in the areas where you plan to monger. While active accounts aren't necessary, blank accounts will get overlooked by a lot of women who figure you're just a time waster.

Next step is to find your first girls. Do a search confined to the city you're fishing in. Some cities you won't have much luck, depending on which social media platform you're on. In Medellin, Facebook is widely used. In Bogota there are more options on Twitter. Some terms to search: prepago, masaje, erotic.

The hardest part is getting started, finding the first few girls. Once you find a few, send a friend request, or follow. Now it gets easier. I'll stick with Facebook for the rest of the explanation.

Once you start finding girls, check their friend list, if it's visible. You're looking for accounts that are either good prospects, or good fishing spots. Good prospects usually have a provocative profile picture. Good fishing accounts will be guys who don't appear to be locals.

If you can't see the friends list, look at the account. If she's posted any sexy pictures, check to see who commented, who was tagged, or who liked the picture. Whenever you find a good prospect, send a friend request. Whenever you find a good fishing account, check the friends list and look for more prospects.

Finding the first 5 girls might take you a few minutes. Finding the next 20 might take a bit longer. But eventually, it snowballs. Facebook will start recommending accounts, friends of girls will start sending requests to you and you'll easily be able to add plenty of girls each time you log in.

Here's a Twitter example in Bogota:

I searched for "prepago. " Top of the list is an account called "Veronica VIP 19 años. " Her WhatsApp number is on the account along with nude photos. Next I check her followers. I find a "Nati escort vip", "Maria Camila Duarte" and "prepago acompañante. " All with Whatsapp numbers. I also see several escort services following her. Checking all those accounts gives more girls. In about 15 minutes, I can add at least 15 numbers of options in Bogota.

I can get the same results in Medellin using Facebook. Other cities might require other social media platforms or other search terms, but the method is about the same.

I visited the Platin OZ on a weekday around 10 PM. This is actually a strip club, I thought it is a regular club with girls. The place is small but clean. There was one other customer when I arrived. I saw eight girls. They seemed to be a bit pushy but luckily eight guys walked in within a minute so they left me alone. The entrance fee is 20 k, beer costs 25 k - 30 k. They have room onsite. The waiter said the girls will ask $200 k - $300 k (I am sure gringo price). I would rate the girls between 4 -7. Certainly nothing good for $350 k+ total cost.

The Linares 48 is located at Cra 13 # 48 -21, a block from la 49 club. The bar itself is very nice and clean. I was there on a Wednesday night. I only saw few older, unattractive girls. The waiter said on weekends there will be a lot more girls. Beer cost $10 k, room $20 k and $100 k / 30 minutes for the girls. The place is waste of time during the weekdays but may be different on weekends just like other clubs.

I went to the Loutron on Thursday around 3 PM. That was the biggest disappointment of all. No other customer, five girls, all unattractive to me with fake boobs. So I left the place. Whether that particular day there was no decent girl or they were not my type, I don't know. They have a nice facility though.

I spend most of my time with a Colombiana from Latincupid and that was better than going to different clubs which I don't like.

I used Uber with my Paypal account and that worked great. No need to have cash money or be concerned about overcharging.

Went out last night, a safe and busy area (lots of clubs, restaurants). Paid 20 K to enter one of the clubs with the rooftop, waste of time unless you're going with a group of locals.

There are 3 girl clubs there, the big one is Casanova, many girls and almost no customers, there is one with small pool and next one is called Disco I think, less upscale but better girls, more fun. Again, not many customers if any at all. Got a few numbers for later. Drinks are expensive (30-40 K) a beer.

You are 100% correct. On a scale of 1 to 10, Honduras would be 9 or 10. Honduras makes Bogota look like Zurich.
