Actually I posted pictures here last October of when an Uber picked me up in Santa Fe at about 4:30 am. Here it is once again.

I've tried using Uber multiple times in Santa Fe and not once did it work. I either ended up waiting 35 minutes for them top pick me up and then the driver's cancelling before they can even get near Santa Fe or Uber endlessly trying to find a driver that would pick me up. Maybe it worked for you because it was at 4:30 am? At that time the majority of clubs are closed and there are a lot less people / cars and traffic there at that time. I always tried getting an Uber from 8:00 pm to 1:30 am don't know if that has something to do with it. I know that if you walk a couple blocks away from the center of Santa Fe it might work but isn't recommended as these streets can be more empty. I don't know how it worked for you. When I tried it, I ended up having to stare at my Iphone X on the streets of Santa Fe for half an hour waiting for an Uber that never showed up (I was with a friend and don't recommend you doing this alone).

OK, so when you are is Santa Fe, Ubers will not be an option be / see the Ubers don't pick people up from that location (they will drop you off be / see they had no choice, but they do have the choice to pick you up from there, which they don't) partly be / see Uber is illegal in Colombia so if the other Taxi's notice the Uber they will call the police, yell, or worse case scenario throw rocks at the Uber which is what Uber drivers told me that had happened and they prob don't want to pick mongers up from that location.

I contacted a girl whom I met at club Olimpia (Club in the North). She charged me 300 k for an hour but I negotiated to 150 k. She was hesitant on meeting me as she doesn't meet clients outside of the club. The majority of clients at the north clubs are rich old Colombian businessmen who go with friends and buy bottles and talk / flirt / dance with pretty chicas (overwhelmingly Colombian girls). These girls can charge / makeup insane prices hence why most mongers on this forum don't go there as once they hear your accent. You're done LOL but most Colombian clients don't even session with these girls either. She told me that a businessman who works at Davivienda bank paid her 1,000,000 once for a session at the club and he was so drunk that when he lied down on the bed he fell asleep LOL I paid 34 k for a 12 hour stay at a nice motel with a jacuzzi. This Colombian girl had a 9 face and a 8 body and was 20 years old. She brung weed for us to smoke and gave me the best sex I ever had (and I had a lot), she was true GFE. We ordered drinks, jacuzzi, shower together etc. She ended up staying the whole night and didn't ask for a tip.

I've asked some questions that are pretty important such as travelling from the airport, which I don't consider 'mundane'. Thanks for at least replying to 1 thing I wrote about, cycling. I know you think you're being helpful, but that's not the first time you just shut me down, so I would prefer if you don't 'try to help me' anymore. Colombia may be a much safer country than it used to be, but it's not like going to Marbella, is it ? And if you're bored, find something else to do.

There is a learning curve to using the Transmilenio which isn't worth it if you're only going to have a really short stay. Also, I stopped counting how many times I have seen people get robbed after dark at the transmilenio. (There are almost no cops at night and the Transmilenio is full of Venezueleans (Don't want to sound racist) who don't pay to get in because they run past the bus and car lanes and illegally jump into the station. They are usually tall and you will notice the crowd of people at the stations change at night to young males age 15-26. I had a friend who almost got robbed in the Bus. There were 2 guys who came into the semi empty-bus and out of all the seats they could choose, they chose the seats that were on his same row. One of the guys went ahead and sat by himself in the 2 empty seats in the same row but across the walking aisle to my friend but the other guy instead of sitting next to his buddy in the empty seat decided to sit right next to my friend. The guy was staring at my friends jean pocket and saw the shape of a phone within his jeans. The guy kept signaling looking at buddy and then started to do the cross sign (I kinds don't get why but I guess it's like saying "Jesus forgive me for what I'm about to do" My friend bolted out of there and got out at the next stop. If you're going alone, I would say just get a taxi and try not to have an accent LOL.

Why don't you check out some of the Love motels? There are many convenient to Chapinero, just a few blocks away from Pussy House. Most offer a 5 or 6 hour rate for a reasonable price. You'll get charged for a few extra hours, but probably cheaper and more convenient. Also don't have to worry about a charge for early check-in.

Actually some love motels are more expensive. The hotel I usually stay in is 78K per night. One day when my girlfriend was at work I went to a love motel with this other chick. It was 99K for a couple of hours!

LOL. That is not stopping me from going. The bomb was not in Santa Fe! I will be there on the 8th then head to Barranquilla on the 9th. Then I will be back in Bogota on the 14th.

I remember when they were talking about Cuba zapping the ears of people at the US embassy in Havana and a guy on ISG changed his plans to go because of that. I went during that time and have not had too many problems with my ears since I got back.

Mr E 's answer is good actually. There is a Transmilenio stop right in front of Hotel San Francisco. It is been written about a few times because of the noise. The Transmilenio hub is near Museo Natioanal. You have to figure out which line you are going to take to know if it stops at Hotel San Francisco.

I walked around Santa Fe everyday day and night when I was there. I don't know Spanish. The point is some people got robbed but not everybody so no one can give you a guarantee about safety.

Dude. Just go outside and get into a taxi. You are really overthinking this trip. We can tell you 1 million times how to drive a boat. But until you get behind the helm it will all probably mean shit to you. And I gather that from these posts over and over about the same mundane things. Experience is the best teacher. Just get in the pool and swim. You already speak Spanish, which is a hell of an advantage over many of those that came before you, including ME my first time there.

On Sunday mornings a big route on the main thoroughfares is closed for cyclists.

Thanks a lot guys for your feedback about the altitude and uber / taxis in Bogota. I will be coming to Bogota in about 3 weeks.

What is Santa Fe really like during the day, because a while back people here were saying how great it was, and that there was a lot of action, but that it's best to leave before it gets dark.
