Literally, spent few weeks reading about Medellin but Bogota is way more convenient due to the availability of direct flight from where I live.

I was in Bogotá for business. Thanks to the excellent maps from WorldTravel69, I realized a joint was a mere 150 meters from my hotel. Bar Juan Pablo Zhivago in the "Bogota-North" map. The place was totally unmarked, no signs or anything, just a dude hanging out in front.

I paid about COP 25 k for beers, 35 k for girl drinks, 100 k for the room ("privado" The rooms aren't quite set up for straight sex, they're karaoke rooms with couches, to entertain groups of asians. They put a sheet over the couch for me. I paid the gal US $100, mostly because I felt sorry for her because she was Venezuelan. Mostly GFE, slight upsell tactics. Not the most economical joint in Bogota, but definitely the most economical place within 200 meters of my hotel. No fuss, no muss, all safe and easy.

Arrived 5 am morning Stayed at hotel el virrey the single room was small, have hot water, wifi 10 minutes away by walk to santa fe and it cheap so was perfect for 13 hour stay.

Most casas I visited in Bogota, you entered and basically had to choose or leave on the spot.

And in general, the best casas are quality and number of chicas are?

You don't need to choose on the spot if you buy a drink, which is extremely cheap (1 dollar or so). In most of the casas I have visited, I ask for a beer first and tell them I will choose later. Then you can choose someone before sex for drinking with her but you will have to invite her drink.

I was in Club 49 years ago when I spend quite a bit of time and Bogota. The club was full of women, many of them quite attractive. They were mostly pretty aloof, somewhat cold, so it wouldn't be a surprised that they weren't too friendly after taking them home. It was clear that this was a very expensive place. I forget exactly what they wanted but it was something like four times the normal price of the time maybe even more. Nevertheless there was one really hot girl that I still think about. But because of the price I didn't even say Hello, to her. I don't think that paying that kind of money in that place is going to spoil anyone because these girls are already spoiled. When I was there was the same as you described just a few guys there and tons and tons of women. They work on low volume and high prices. I don't think there's anything wrong with that because they were pretty clear and upfront. There are guys that are quite happy with that sort of arrangement.

P.S. I met Routard on that trip. What a great guy.

TuneFor --After having few drinks in hotel decided to hit Forty Nine Club on recommendation of a taxist / tour guide. Place was empty. Only me and 2 other guys at another table. Girls where super pushy, couldn't drink my beer in peace. But ended up being good tactic because eventually I agreed on TDL with 2 of them which looked like party girls so I said OK it might be interesting. It wasn't. First of all I overpaid them. Agreed on 300 bucks, but eventually at the end of night paid at least 400 because it was always something more to payed. Again they wanted more money and ended up giving them 50 bucks how much they asked just to get rid of them. Hope will learn from this experience, but they were good actors, fooling me they are into partying and having a blast of a night. Def wouldn't recommend Forty Nine Club.

Thanks JjBee. So I looked at Google Maps. Seems like two possibilities. Discoteca Palmahia, Cll 86 (which is referred to as a Night Club on Google Maps) and Discoteca Fahrenheit, Cll 84. From the layout of the streets, my guess is it was Discoteca Palmahia.

Given what Routard wrote, maybe I just got lucky and was singled out by a few young ladies who made the pitch on a mediocre night. Then again, I also saw two younger gringos begging two Paisas not to get in a cab and the only explanation I could think of from what I saw was that they didn't realize there was a cost to finish the night on a bang.

You would have known if you were at Fahrenheit. You would have had partial hearing loss for 1 day after going there. There's also Dulce Jesus Mio along the Autopista.

All respect for Routard's Bogota reporting, but he's mistaken on this one. I've found working girls in most of the clubs and bars I visited in Medellin. Most of the girls on my Facebook are often posting from various regular clubs. Now, they aren't going there looking for customers, but they're usually more than happy to find a customer there.

Yep, I've had it in the clubs. Not usually available but if you have a good rapport with the chica you can sometimes agree it in advance. I'd say you're more likely to get BBBJ than DFK.

As someone who will be in Bogota in 4 days, that makes me smile. Out of the many chicas that I've had in MDE, only ONE did that. I hope I'll have better luck in Bogota.
