My 2 cents on Medellin vs Bogota. For some context I've only been to MDE and BOG once each time. I've had FB, Mansion, casa and toured the streets (but not taken them) in MDE. In BOG, I've done mostly SF street girls, a couple of website girls, and toured the northern clubs. However I think it's enough to form a rough opinion of the two cities.

Medellin pros.

1. Better weather. It's something you don't normally think about but climate (or altitude) can affect your libido and energy levels. In MDE I felt pretty good everyday except when the girls tire me out. In Bogota, sometimes by early afternoon I'm already really sleepy.

2. Hotter girls on average. This is based on personal tastes but I like the paisa look. Bogota has hot girls too, it's just that on average a good looking paisa is going to be cheaper where they come from. What this really translates to is that Medellin will have the better value for your money in the middle of the pricing spectrum, like from 150 k-200 k.

3. The Mansion. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but people who like the Mansion really like it and come back again and again. Instant access to good looking if not stunning girls right on premise, friendly staff to help you out, socializing with like-minded guys, good location with lots of conveniences around and safety.

4. FB scene. FB means that you get to see a lot of the girls' real pics before you decide to call her up. Even though you spend more time building up an FB list, the results are better than using Photoprepagos and Mileroticos.

5. Friendlier people overall.

Bogota pros.

1. Better value on the low end. This is the one thing multiple people told me about, even when I was in Medellin, and Bogota didn't disappoint from that perspective. Low end doesn't mean low quality, just means what you can get for under 100 k or sometimes 50 k. Because of the sheer quantity of girls working in Santa Fe, and the Venezuelans, you can get some very good looking girls for like $15. When I went through Vera Cruz in Medellin, there definitely weren't as many choices. My average session in Bogota was probably 75 k-100 k cheaper than in Medellin and I didn't have to sacrifice significantly in quality.

1. 5 Venezuelans. This really isn't a pro all by itself but if you want VZ girls, it's easier to find them in quantity in Bogota. They mostly don't look much different from Colombians, so it's not really a selling point for me. But for some people it might be.

2. (Probably) More options on the high end. The northern clubs seem to be packed full of 8-10's. But be prepared to pay more also. I know Medellin also has stunners, but I believe there's more in Bogota.

3. Internet girls are not as late. Probably depends on where you stay, but when I was in Mansion, the FB girls would almost always be 1-2 hrs late. Bogotanas seem to be more time conscious.

I didn't really have strong opinions on the clubs and casas, but they seem to be pretty similar based on what I saw, only that Bogota has more quantity of everything.

Since I have the budget to pay for midrange, I like Medellin a little better. The weather really helps as well. Bogota is a very strong contender though and probably worth another visit at some point.

I have read the forum, as well as Routard's excellent guide. Thank you to everyone for their valuable input. This will be my 2nd time in Colombia, I visited Cartagena last year and you can read my report / posts in the Cartagena forum, and I plan to do the same after my Bogota trip.

I will be arriving in Bogota with 2 friends on a Sunday (early morning). Was wondering what are my best options on a Sunday, both daytime and night? Is Santa Fe the best bet? Is Chicas Milenio any good on Sunday? I believe pussy House is closed on Sunday, not sure about La 49?

And then same question on Monday night, where would you guys recommend is the best place on a Monday night? Just want to make sure we start the trip well.

Based on Routard and Woodman's recommendations I went to the Mezzanine up in Usaquen I saw one poster recommend against it though so I had my reservations. Arrived around noon. Not terribly difficult to find. It's in a building right on that intersection. Look for the building as shown in the picture attached. Walk up the stairs and go around to the rear of the shops where you'll see a bunch of numbered doors. It's sort of hidden but if you read Routard's FAQ and look for that building in the pic you'll find it. The selection is really impressive for a small and cheap place. Since there's only like 4 shops, I went through all of them. There's a total of maybe 15 girls to choose from but most of them are attractive. I'd say the the median is about a 7 or 7. 5 which is not that far actually from the 300 k-400 k Norte clubs I visited yesterday. In fact the hottest girls there could easily have worked in the northern clubs. 1 HR massage with sex goes from 80 k to 100 k. I first picked a girl but she didn't do BBBJ. My second choice did for 30 k and I was prepping myself for some half assed massage and mediocre sex. I was in Colombia some months back (before I knew this forum existed), up in Santa Marta. I had a great time, and am planning to do some mongering in Bogota. I was reading some of the prices dropped here on girls, and it's quite a bit more than what I spent in SM. My preference is bringing street walkers back to my place, rather than going to houses. Walking back to SF after a robbery attempt isn't the mistake. Going to SF late in the first place was the mistake. Suppose someone attempted to rob you there and you never went back because of the single instance, then plenty of people who live in Bogota, both Colombian and foreign, would never go back. As I explained, the risks aren't obvious because I take measures to protect my belongings and physical safety. At that time there are still cops around, I stayed in lighted areas, I watched for people around me and I wasn't drunk. I explained what I did wrong pretty clearly so I don't feel the need to repeat what I already wrote. Don't go to SF late.

Never be complacent anywhere. That being said, I have been to Santa Fe wayyyy more times after 11 pm than I have been in the afternoon or evening. And I have been countless times alone and think I have only been 2 or 3 times with someone else. Never seen a problem or had any problems. And like I said before, I walk between there and my hotel downtown. Maybe they just know who to touch and who not to touch. Not that I carry any weapons or anything. I am just a pretty streetwise guy. I grew up around that type of shit.

If you've been reading my reports, I've abandoned the two websites Photoprepagos and Mileroticos. PP doesn't get fresh listings very often and Mileroticos is filled with agencies with no way to filter them out. PP was only good for 2 sessions and one of them had fake pics.

What I've read on the forums about Atunes and Atones confused me so I decided to check out both places in the afternoon to see what the real difference is. I think Routard should clarify this in his FAQ. This is 5:30 pm. My first stop is Atones. This is like a regular strip club. The girls are on average better looking than what you find in the streets but no stunners. Since there's more quantity in the street, you'll find someone you like wherever you decide to pull from. The waiter guy kept saying stuff to me, I assume he's asking me to buy a drink. I didn't think it was worth staying there so I headed out. Atunes, on the other hand has no stage. Imagine a bar with tables scattered around, guys drinking beers and talking to each other or girls. It's brightly lit compared to other places so you get to see the girls' faces better. Most of the girls are kinda hanging around, not doing much. I saw a couple of hotties, but none that made me go like I must have her. I feel Atunes is not ideal for solo travelers since there's no show to watch if you don't find a girl you like. It'd be a nice place to hang out with a friend though while looking around for girls you might be interested in.

Here's my overall impression of the SF strip clubs as compared to the offerings in the countries that I've visited. If you want to see girls dancing on a stage, the better places are Thailand and Philippines. If you always want to take girls back to your hotel, then SE Asia or just take girls from the streets like I've been doing. If you're comfortable with on-premise sex, then these Colombian clubs.
