This report is few months old. Was busy and lazy, but want to pen down so that newbies can avoid the issues that I had.

Excellent TR from a newbie's perspective and I thank you for it. I have been to Medellin but not to Bogota, yet. I'm planning to go there for my birthday in November (give myself a birthday present) and I found your report very helpful. You episode with your credit card is worth noting. When I was in Medellin, I had no problem getting money from ATMs with my debit card until the 3rd night. Then none of them seemed to work with my card, though I used ATMs from different banks. I witnessed locals getting money from the same ATMs, so I knew they were in service and operative. Luckily I didn't have a problem the next morning and was able to withdraw cash, but I was glad I had some US $ stashed in the soles of my shoes.

My perception of Colombian food based on my brief trip to Medellin was that it was shamefully bland. Doesn't sound like your experience was any different. Maybe some more experienced folks can chime in on where to get some tasty grub. One good thing about Asia, my other point of interest, is that good food is the standard. Latin America, OTOH, is hit or miss depending on where you land.

Though I prefer Medellin because of the weather, Bogota has way more "chica action" than Medellin.

This is the most high-end place in all of Colombia. Each party (1-5 people) needs to spend at least 500 k pesos on their bar / restaurant per visit. If you get one of the girls you have to pay 240 k for the room and the girls charge around 400 k to 1 million pesos for their service. You have to make a reservation 3 hours in advance. This report is few months old. Was busy and lazy, but want to pen down so that newbies can avoid the issues that I had. Booked the seperate tickets to MEX (united) and Avianca to from MEX to BOG. Though I saved $150 by doing this, It was a mistake. Had to stand in the MEX immigration queue for more than an hour each time that I transitioned through MEX Airport. Foreigners Queue was 3 times large than the locals both the times.

Landed in Bogota and exchanged some local currency before the customs. They took my fingerprints and signatures in several pages. Never had to do this much paper work anywhere that I visited. Booked the Uber and the driver accepted my trip but never showed up. It was showing 5 minutes away always. He cancelled it after 15 minutes. Booked again and after 10 minutes the driver called me on my US phone. I have zero talking skills in Spanish other than the 20 most frequently used words. I handed over the phone to a guy who was waiting like me. He talked to the driver and asked me to go to the Departures area, where the driver was waiting. Reached the Hotel (Windham Bogota ART). Hotel was excellent with free buffet style amazing breakfast with lots of western and local food. Paid $68 per night. There is small casino downstairs. Played BlackJack for an hour plus and gained 200 mil, but walked out only after loosing that.

There were few ATM machines next to the Casino. Tried my Schwab card. It didn't worked in one. Tried couple of times. Then I moved to the next ATM machine and that Machine ate my card. Called the hotel security. They called the toll free number on the machine and they told us to cancel the card as it might be released after few hours. Contacted Schab and cancelled the card. This episode limited my mongering activities (to the available cash only) as I don't want to use another card and lose it again. My cancelled card was returned to me by the hotel in the Morning.

I read the forum thoroughly before my trip. Routard's Guide was spot on on everything. Special thanks for him for his efforts to put together the entire Bogota list with exact locations. Took a taxi from my hotel and showed him PussyHouse address on a small paper. He initially thought I am dumb. He asked couple of questions. Turned on the Google translator and told him about my Spanish skills. He is a very young and a nice guy. From then on our conversation went via google translator. He called his friend and was laughing like anything on this whole thing. He dropped me and gave his WA number and told me that he can pick me up when I am done with 15 minutes notice.

Pussyhouse was full and rocking with loud music as it was a Friday evening. Waiter came and showed me the table at the end of the room as everything else was occupied. I showed him the beer as soon as I entered and I always payed with bigger notes so that I don't need to talk. I really don't want to use Google translator in the strip club. Spent couple of hours there and took one girl upstairs. I told her that No habla esponiol in the beginning and she smiled. From then on everything was in a sign language with her. Lack of language skills really bothersome as it was not true pleasant experience with lack of interaction. Texted the driver and he came in 15 minutes and picked me up dropped me at hotel.

Next morning, I called uber and went to masazitas place around noon. Driver tried to talk to me but told him that no Spanish skills and he left me alone. Went to the first floor and went around to the corner cabin all the way to the end. There were 3 girls with good bodies. But one had pleasant face too and I took her and paid 80 mil. The room was very tiny and it has a massage table and we can just stand beside that table. It was hard to remove the pant and shoes too. Again I told her that I don't speak Spanish before paying the money and she gave me a decent massage, CBJ and finished in top. She was smiling whenever I look at her. Really liked her attitude and tipped her 20 mil. Came out and walked around a bit and had lunch at some local restaurant. The food was OK.

I told my first day driver that I want to visit Santa Fe. He told me that it's a dangerous area if you don't speak Spanish and speaking through translator might create safety issues. He told me that he can accompany me for couple of hours. But he told me that I need to pay for his time. It sounded like a good deal and I asked him to come and pick me up at 4 PM. He was right on the time and we went to Santa Fe. He parked his car in paid parking lot. As we came out, there were about 4/5 cops on the corner checking the driving license of everyone walking through that corner. I showed my US DL and no questions were asked.

Regarding Santa Fe: The location was beautiful with mountains on one side. I never seen that many street girls anywhere. Most of them had good bodies, but not that good of faces. He took me to Attunes and spent some 30 minutes with few beers. There were about 25 girls that time. But didn't took any. I walked around the couple of blocks to really see the area. Though I had a brown skin, people noticed that I was not from there and tried to grab my hand to go into their club each time we pass by a club. Driver shooed them away. I was relaxed because of the Driver next to me. But it is a place every monger must visit once in a life time.

After Santa Fe visit I asked him to take me to a local food restaurant. Food is nothing to write about. Then we went to pussy house and to an another club next to it. Finally reached back to hotel around 9.30 PM.

Paid him the taxi fare plus 120 mil for his time. He seemed to be happy with that. Took the Uber to airport next day.

ATM / Debit Card fiasco killed my chances of enjoying high end SA and / or agency girls in my room. Better to carry enough cash. Lack of Spanish skills definitely a problem to have any good chemistry. Better to learn Spanish to some extent. Never felt threatened anywhere in the Bogota.
