Also, does anybody would be aware of Colombian forum fed by locals?

My trip to the DR was about 12 years ago. It was OK, but many other places are better, IMO. I went to Colombia last year; really liked it.

Main reason why I like Bogota over Sosua / Boca Chica: I think the scam factor from the Colombian girls is less than the DR girls. There has been numerous reports on this forum about scams / problems from the DR freelancers.

I have my own story: On my first day in Boca Chica, I picked up a SW. After I was done and paid her, she demanded $100 US. I said no. She threatened to call the police. I read what Mr. E wrote. I said go ahead. She smirked; of course she didn't call the police. But she screamed for a few minutes. The couple at the front desk were no help. I offered her 500 or 1000 pesos. After couple of minutes, she took it. Mr. E would have been ashamed of me. I knew that she could do nothing to me. But I wanted the conflict to end. I paid the extortion as a convenience fee. Afterwards, I was pissed off, and I got turned off to Boca Chica.

I haven't read or experienced anything in Colombia like the SW scams that I have read about in the DR. The worst thing about Colombia is the up sell tip requirement for BBBJ.

Other points why I like Colombia over DR:

- Fantastic mongering information on the Colombian forum. I love the maps and lists. Makes it so much easier.

- Fantastic strip joints in Bogota.

- Relaxed attitude about weed in Colombia. Weed has been decriminalized.

- IMO, food is better in Colombia at the upper-mid restaurants. Food and beers are about half price from the US at the nice places.

- If you fly out of LAX, there are direct flights to Bogota. There is no direct flight from LAX to the DR.

- They have good poker games in Bogota and Medellin.

Also, I also think it depends on whether you prefer dark skinned afro / latin girls or light skinned euro / latin ones. You're welcome to like both and I hope this is not a racist choice, but part of why we're on here (I think) is to find what we like without judgement. Bogota and the DR are going to be different ethnically.

The general city of Bogota is going to be a different ethnic makeup than the country of DR, but I have dated a few Black Colombian chicks there and there are plenty of them to go around in Santa Fe. Years ago I fucked a chick there that looked like Serena Williams. But for the most part, Blacks in Colombia are settled around Cali and the coast. My first time going to Cartagena I was surprised to see that everyone was Black. After going to Bogota and Cali I was not expecting it. That is why experience is the best teacher. But as PG said, his question was too broad.

You gotta love Santa Fe. Once when I was there I hit a chick who looked like Serena Williams' long lost twin. All for the meager sum of 20,000 COP!

I don't consider myself expert on either (but I have general knowledge of both Colombia and the Caribbean).

One thing to consider is weather. The DR is going to be great in Winter,: sunny, warm, beaches and reasonably long days, but miserable in summer: super hot and humid with the threat of hurricanes that can not only shut things down but wipe them out at a moment's notice. Bogota has rainy periods but generally cool (not cold) temperature and average length days all year round. I think that spring and fall are the wettest months, so during those periods, which tend to be nice in the Caribbean, especially spring, I might choose the DR, but in summer, the DR has a large potential for miserable weather whereas Bogota should be pleasant. Then again, in the Americas the place called "the land of eternal spring" is usually Medellin (on the other side of the Atlantic it's the Canary Islands, but the P4 P scene there is more complicated).

That's a very broad question and doesn't have a simple answer. Depends what you're looking for, which part you're planning to visit etc.

First of all, basics for newbies.

I changed a small amount at a travelex before I left, as I like to land in a foreign country with some local currency in my pocket. I knew it was expensive but didn't mind for a small amount and assumed it would be cheaper than the change place on arrival. I was wrong. The change place in the terminal is advertising 2,600 to the USD with no fees, against the interbank rate of 2,786, so actually very reasonable.

Arrivals is easy, if a little busy. Fill in a basic form, go through passport control with no picture or fingerprint scanning, pick up your luggage, go through customs, then line up to put your luggage through an x-ray. I could have been lucky but it was a lot quicker than clearing immigration and customs used to be at the major US airports, before they introduced the APC and GE machines..

That's why I probably will never go back to the Dominican Republic. I went there once. Probably won't return, since Colombia, overall, is so much better than the DR.

Its been open for several years. Calle 23 between Carrera 15 and 16. But I'm not sure it had any real talent until more recently.

Well that's me off. Had a relaxing final day. Finished it off with repeat booking in my apartment just before I had to leave for the airport, to guarantee I leave on a high.

Parting words of advice for newbies is Bogotá airport has a long line for passport control (and no priority lane) so leave at least half an hour to get through, probably more to be safe. My AA flight started boarding almost an hour before departure. Worth noting if you want to guarantee overhead space where you're sitting and not have the flight attendant start looking for space 30 rows back.

Uber driver wouldn't go to departures, he went into the car park because in his words "Uber is illegal at the airport". Not a big deal, just leave another few minutes to get upstairs to departures.

Tried to connect to airport WiFi but couldn't sign in, so don't rely on it.

It's been a great adventure, can't wait for my next trip.

It's on two floors. I only checked out the first floor of the club, there is a mezzanine level, fully visible from below and vice versa. First floor had nice sofas to sit and get acquainted with the chicas. The only downside is the music is very loud. Must have been 30 chicas, plenty of which were available, which was a little surprising for a Saturday night. It worked for me though. I'll happily return.

Looks like my posts are being read and World Travel 69 doesn't waste any time, the spa was already on the map when I went out earlier.

I fancied some backdoor action today and they have it on their list of services. They wouldn't give me the price over the phone, they told me I'd have to discuss it with the girl in the room. I knew that meant it wasn't going to be cheap but I wanted to try the place and wanted the service, so figured I'd go for it.

Got there and started the chica parade. Again, all dolled up and tastefully dressed. I think it was six today but lost count as I was trying to remember the names of the chicas I wanted. I really liked 3 of them but settled on Helena / Elena, a tall Venezuelan who gave off the dirtiest vibe and had the face and body to match.

Was taken up to a nice large room with a low bed and mirror across the wall at the correct height, and a decent en suite bathroom (had a look at the other rooms on the way out and they all look similar). Started negotiating and finished on 300 k for everything.

The place seems a bit confused. In true spa style, it has genuinely fresh towels, nice oils, piped music, but the massage is on a bed, albeit a narrow one, as opposed to a massage table. Everyone understands why the men come there but I think the focus is more masseuses willing to perform extra services than working girls advertising as a massage service.

Started off with the only proper snog I've had since landing here, before she asked me to lay down and gave a reasonable massage for around 15 minutes, after which we got down to the main event. She did not disappoint. Great skills and took it in the arse like a champ. After I'd finished she gave me a foot massage, then I went for a surprisingly warm and powerful shower by Bogota standards. Again, nice shower products and sealed toothbrush available. They're trying to pull off classy spa and do a reasonable job of it. The session lasted 50 minutes, not including the shower.

So you're probably shouting clip joint / time waster at the computer now and you're probably right, but you know what, I'm satisfied and would go again. Yes, by Bogota standards it's expensive, yes I didn't get a full hour and yes a large portion of the session was wasted on massage, but to get a chica of her caliber back home to perform the services she did, with as much enthusiasm, would cost me at least 3 times what I paid her, and I probably still wouldn't get the Venezuelan flirty girlfriend experience. I certainly wouldn't see her regularly but will happily put her on my list for one session per trip.

She gave me her phone number and said I can message her to check she's available before I come or she can visit me. Prices to visit me were the same as in the club for an hour but cheaper for 2 hours. Doubt I'll take her up on her offer this trip but will probably invite her to my place or a love motel for a couple hours next trip, in the hope that outside the club more time is dedicated to sex than massage.

Headed out in the afternoon for a walking tour of central Bogota with Mr Woodman before shooting some pool together (total rip off, 4 k an hour LOL). We then moved on to SF around 7 pm. The place was buzzing as usual. Chicas standing on the street in Victoria's Secret's finest. We walked through a few clubs before settling in Troya. At risk of repeating myself, the quantity and quality of partially clothed and fully naked chicas doing all sorts of nasty things was off the hook. As it's a Saturday night, they make you buy a beer at the door for 6 k but once inside you don't get hassled to buy anything, so if you really wanted, you could pay a couple of bucks to sit there with a cold one watching one of life's best shows. A chubby (by Troya standards) but very cute girl was making eyes at me, so I invited her over for a drink. She seemed like a lot of fun and they do say that sex with chubby girls is more fun, so after some dancing and playing I took her up and paid my 60 k. Well guys, it's true. She took a proper pounding and thanked me for it haha. Went back down and decided to try out one of the 10's. Invited her over for a drink but she wasn't putting out much, so I left and headed to Club California, where I'd seen a few 10's when we walked through earlier. Spotted a cute spinner who looked a little shy and decided to find out what she was like with a drink in her. Invited her over and bought her a pina colada for 10 k. We chatted and danced for a while, no pressure, super relaxed. When I was ready I asked how much for a session, she said 50, don't know what the standard rate at California is but she'd certainly earned it, so just said vamos. The quality of the shagging area isn't up to the Venus and Troya standards, plus it looks like street girls use it, so there was a small wait. Chica was fantastic though.

It was now midnight and I was spent, both physically and financially. I'd underestimated how quickly drinks would add up and don't carry much cash with me when I'm out and about in SF. According to google maps, the nearest ATM was more than half a mile from the club, so, much as it hurt me to leave early on my last night in Bogota, I wasn't prepared to walk through unknown parts of Santa Fe to an ATM in an area which was who knows how safe. I called an Uber and headed home. I'd had a cracking night and tomorrow is another day, plus I needed to get home with enough energy to post this report tonight, otherwise it would never happen.
