Just had a really terrible experience with Sofia from Photo Prepagos. It's been many years since that was her in her photos. Her ass is fat and not toned and her breasts have shrunk. That is how it is done in Colombia. My second time there it was me and 2 friends. We were going to Cali but had to spend the night in Bogota. Rather than get 3 separate rooms, we opted for 1 room with 3 beds. Did not know until checkout the next day that it was the same price had we gotten 3 separate rooms. Your best bet is to book on hotelsdotcom or something and say 2 people. That way you can avoid paying the Colombia way for the additional person.

Just ask the hotel price for single occupancy and double occupancy as some hotels indeed have different prices for it. When you bring a girl, it's not written on her face if she is a pro, a casual or regular girl friend and nobody cares anyway. Any guest needs ID even if it's your wife you have been married with for 40 years.

I stayed here for 2 nights, I had one chica come over. They called from the front desk and I said it was ok. I had prepaid in full from booking so the hotel did not have my CC info to bill me.

I did not like the hotel that much, no heat and it was getting down to 35-40 degree at night. La candelaria is not too far from all the action.

Can anyone give me some hotel options in Bogota? I'd like somewhere chica friendly. If its next to some spots where I can pick up ladies or good restaurants that's a plus also.

I went to Bogota last year, used Woodman09 as my guide and stayed at 3 hotels that are walking distance to Santa Fe. Here is a short review.

Guide

Woodman took me on the tour of every bar in Santa Fe, some we bought drinks and stayed for a while, some we left without doing anything as there was no reason to stay. We also toured the streets. He taught me about safety and how things work. I felt comfortable walking into bars, or talking to girls after that because I had been to all of them once already. His service made my trip so much better. Woodman also argued with the bar staffs a couple of times to get my money back because I was short changed. There is no question he takes care of his client. Another time we went out and I explicitly told him that I would pay for all drinks but he did not order because the drink was more expensive and it is not required for him to order drink. I only have positive experience with him so I strongly recommend his service. The only complain I have is his taxi friend did not come thru with a beauty girl I saw on his phone.

Ibis Bogota Museo

Pros:

• Clean and new
  Good Wifi.
  Good view looking outside of Windows.

Cons:

• Small room.

About rate:

Weekends and weekdays rates are different. Weekends are cheaper than weekdays.

Hotel San Francisco

Pros:

• Cheap.Close to Santa Fe, but not by much.

Cons:

• very dated, not very clean.
  Lots of traffic noise, No sound proof windows, was given a room on the street side facing Transmileno station.
  Almost no English is spoken here.

Dann Avenida 19 Hotel

Pros:

• Clean. Very large room comparing to Ibis.

Cons:

• Spotty Wifi.

My room has only a small window but it is big enough for me.

About rate:

Woodman recommanded this place to me. I got 3 rates here. I walked into the hotel to check the place out, and was given a rate that was better than what was available on the internet. After checked in and saw the room, I went to front desk to make reservation for my remaining stay. The rate was around 130 mil, which was 20 or 30 mils cheaper than the walk up rate for the first night. They told me I can't get this rate on the phone.

Transmileno:

You can take a bus right in front of the airport to Ibis. You can buy ticket / bus card at the bus stop from people wearing Transmileno vest.

I think this is the Transmileno naming system which contains a single character alphabet (destination hub) followed by a number (route).

• M is the hub near airport.
  K is hub near Santa Fe / Museo Nacional.
  86 is the line between airport M and K.
  M86 is from airport to Santa Fe (Museo Nacional), K86 is the reverse direction on the same route.

The bars I like the most are Atunes and Troya. I like my experience at mezzanine, only been there once. I also like walking up and down Carrera 10 on weekends. The city closes Carrara 10 to cars and there are many vendors out on the street. I enjoyed the variety of the street foods. Uber is not reliable. The driver canceled frequently, and remember to close the car door very lightly, the drivers don't like the way I normally close the car door in US.
