Thanks for all the suggestions about sightseeing around Bogota. Obviously, I can tell I did not give the capitol enough credit for attractions within the city itself. But after investigating further, Tunja and Leyva seem real interesting as they seem very off the beaten path.

So, what other sidetrip or ventures out of the capitol can anyone recommend? Bogota sounds like a superb mongering destination, but it seems to have it limits to touristic value. I'm the kind of guy who likes adventuring to ancient ruins, visiting small colonial towns, etc. I'm not big on beaches or backpacking. But I could definitely have fun on the water, nonetheless. It would all be made the sweeter by the availability of poon for sale. I've always savored the idea of visiting some of the types of places listed above followed by some P4P action. Regretably, many places that have excellent P4P options are often at a lack for other things. Berlin is an exception. Lots of freelancers and old-school bordellos, with a lot to see and do. I spent 9 days there last year, but would have liked to have spent 3 weeks just checking out all things I was interested as well as indulging in all the P4P activity.

I recommend you visit Tunja, an and in city just 3 hours by bus from Bogot. It has a very beautiful Plaza and many colonial building and churches. From there you can go to Villa de Leyva or, in the opposite direction, take a route through the mountains to the Lago de Tota, the largest lake in Colombia surrounded by many little colonial towns like Mongui and Aquitania. Tunja is also big enough to have some sort of mongering scene, although I don't have first hand infos because when I went there I brought with me a 20 yo university chica from Bogotá, who kept me busy.

Maybe a certain time of the day or place they may visit before heading out to work?

I doubt you'll find any semi pros around, except later at night. During the day, except on weekends, it's fairly slow.

If you have the skills, (language, looks, charm and game) you may have some luck working the area at night, or possibly weekend afternoons when there's a band or some other entertainment in the park.

Locally in Bogota has many museums- Botero, money coin, Gold, police, military. More- All are Free accept Gold museum is free only on Sundays.

Many other famous landmarks. Hotel Taquendama where they held Escobar's wife, mom and kids-- as seen in Narcos.

Also Montserrat a church high above Bogota in the mountains. La Calera is an area in the mountains with lots of great restaurants.

I have checked out short ventures from Medellin, a city which I think I have seen enough of. I also understand Barranquilla is the gateway to Santa Marta. And there are also options from Cartegena. I love coffee as my Hungarian screen name should suggest. I eventually want to visit coffee country just out of curiosity. I really want to see the coffee beans on the tree. But, I understand I will be in a place where P4P is not real obvious. Or no?

Heading to Bogota next week. Have read the forum a few times and have a couple questions regarding security that I am hoping someone can help with. I will write a detailed report upon return. My question is, would it be safe to take a taxi directly to pussyhouse or la 49 at night, enter the club, and leave directly by taxi? Also, would it be safe to take a taxi at night directly to troyas / fiebre in Santa Fe, enter club, and leave directly by taxi after? Could the bouncers at the clubs be trusted to call me a legit taxi? Will the clubs be busy or dead from Dec. 17th to 22nd as this is close to Christmas (do all the chicas go home for the holidays, etc). Lastly, and I know this is a matter of personal taste, but are the high end club girls really any prettier than the girls at the chapinero day brothels. I have read that some work in both places. I expect to have most of my free time during the day, and it looks like the high end clubs will be closed until 7 pm, so chapinero sounds like the best option. Would I really regret not going to the high places for a night or two? I have been to SXM multiple times (mostly spend time at hypnotic and Carolina's) and most of the great girls I met there are from Medellin or Bogota, I never thought to ask if / where they might have worked in Bogota, so I have no idea what to expect in terms of quality from Santa Fe, chapinero, high end clubs. Anyways, any thoughts are appreciated. In answer to your taxi question, all of the above, yes. At least I would feel safe doing that.

As for the other questions, hit up Chapinero first. If you're not satisfied with the looks, go north. If the looks are better than you expect, go south.
