It's the second time in recent days I've seen someone on the Colombia forum mention walking into some place and see a girl snorting blow and being very visible. While that's not my thing, I'm a little surprised that people are very surprised considering where you are. I've seen it at clubs in Santa Fe both discreetly and not so much, and I've also seen it at nicer places not only in Bogota but in Cartagena and Medellin as well. The very first time I witnessed this, I'll admit. It was a little surprising. Probably because those who are from the US like myself recognize this as being illegal. But I've been to many clubs in the US, and this happens all the time albeit more discreetly and not out in the open. It doesn't bother me much in a way, and I simply recognize it as coming with the territory. Most (not all) of the girls I've been with in Colombia have asked me if I wanted to do some, and I politely declined. I've walked down the streets of Cartagena (in Centro) in the evening and been asked by touts if I wanted a tour, chica, or coke and I simply decline. So each time I visit and see this, it becomes easier to ignore. I'm not sure if that's the right attitude to have, or if there's anything in particular I'm supposed to look out for that could be an issue for my own safety. Perhaps you guys have different experiences and can share if this has affected your mongering trip in any way. I know where I am, and I know certain things are more easily attainable than other parts of the world, so being able to recognize that and ignore it has never caused much of an issue for me.

Went back to Santa Fe about 10 pm Last night. First, I checked out Atunes but not much quality. The doormen told me they are open every day (including Sundays) from 2 pm To 2 or 3 am.

From there I headed over to Paises. About 20+ chicas and a number of quality chicas. Grabbed Barbie, a slim blonde with a great body named Barbie (about 5'7" with fake tits and ass) and bought her a beer. Spent about 15 minutes talking with her. But decided against settling soon soon. Wanted to hit some other places. I told her I might be back for her and she answered by telling me to be careful on the street.

Next on the list was La Casona. But there was nothing to look at there. Talked and flirted with some of the chicas hanging in the doorways along the street.

My intention was to end up at El Castillo but I went into Fiebre first just to check it out. As I entered, I see a chica sitting in the raised area just inside the front door snorting some blow from off the back of a guy's hand. The place was packed. No room to even stand against a wall. I have no idea how many chicas but there were lots and lots. And hot looking chicas everywhere I looked. This place was rocking and the strippers were the best I had seen in my limited time in Bogota. It was so packed that there was constant jostling as people passed by. Had my ass grabbed a few times by chicas. After about twenty minutes or so I decided on a very hot looking chica named MaryAnn. Bought her a drink and tried to talk but it was difficult with the music. Up until this point, it had been a fun time and while I saw no other obvious gringos, no one besides the girls seemed to pay me any attention. But while I'm chatting up this chica, I started getting some really hard stares from some young punks sitting right in front of us. Even to the point of them standing up and turning around to glare. I just ignored them but it made me a little uncomfortable. I decided to try out this chica. When we went over to the bar area, some drunk old Colombian grabs her ass and won't let go. She turns to me like I should say or do something but I figured she could deal with it herself. I'm not about to start something with a drunk in a place like that. We go upstairs and no sooner than we get in the room when she starts with the bullshit. Everything that we negotiated below was off the table. I recognized that I had chosen poorly. She had not shown any particular interest in me prior to my speaking to her but she was smoking hot. I told her just get to it. CBJ and a fuck and I left while she was still dressing. It was around midnight so I cruised over to near the 23rd Street station, hailed a cab without incident and went back to the hotel in Chapinero.

Thanks, I checked out the website. But think the place is up in the Calle 63 area, which is not exactly around the corner from Santa Fe. Place appears to be in Chapinero. Got to love the rates though. Looks like around six bucks an hour for the room. To get there with chica in tow, I'd guess you'd have to hail a cab from Santa Fe, which everywhere I read says it's not advisable. Call from hotel or bar to get code or something. Good to know about the place though in the event something develops in that area, since I'm staying on Calle 56, but closer to Avenue 7. . I guess as a new visitor to the Santa Fe area, I'll stick with Atunes, La Piscina, El Castillo, Friebe. And use the in house service. Also, I think I wouldn't have to pull a Crocodile Dundee and grab anyone's crotch in these places to verify gender! LOL! I had no real intention of connecting with any streetwalker, and those in the two recent pics posted, apparently aren't the real deal, but dam, they sure fooled me from a curvalicious perspective!

Check out Motel LasPalmas. It's on WT 69 map. It looks decent from the photos and the short term rates are published next to the variety of rooms. There is also another motel in the map a few blocks to the west of that location.

Ha ha. I've been google-mapping around the whole Sante Fe sector also. What you don't show in that pic is just to the right where you cut it off, on the building with the graffiti, it says "red comunitaria trans" or community network trans in English. Also just half way down that block is the Bar Shangay. Pretty obvious now? There was a YouTube video that also showed some trannies standing a block down in a corner where there's a convenience store (Cr 16 and CL 21). I'll tell you a secret that I've noticed. Sometimes, one of the prettier (real) girls will stand near the tranny area, I don't know if it's for a false sense of safety or they feel there's less competition or maybe some of them make friends with one or two of the trannies (although I always thought that's a very closed group for obvious reasons). So it pays sometimes to walk right to the border so to speak. If you're not sure, just say "hola" and 90% of the time you can tell right away from the voice. They know the deal, they know you're trying to verify so they'll almost always respond in a way that makes it clear. If you're still not sure, best to pass it by, LOL!

Was in Santa Fe last night until about 10 pm Checked out La Piscina. About ten chicas and I was not impressed. From there I tried to find Las Vegas but the door corresponding to the address on the list / map was unattended and a couple doormen tried to get me into a place around the corner. They were unresponsive when I asked if it was the Las Vegas and another doorman told me that the Las Vegas had closed.

I wandered up and down the streets around the main drag but didn't see anything to entice me. So finally I went to El Castillo. Lots of nice chicas there. About 20 or more but they kept coming and going.

When I left about 10 pm, it was really starting to pick up. I did not feel unsafe in Santa Fe but clearly you need to pay attention to everything going on in the street when you are walking around.

Jumped on the Transmilenio and headed up to Chapinero to check it out. Checked out what was Lewinskys and is re-opening as a no name club. But around midnight last night I couldn't find it. I was handed.

Another brochure announcing the inaugural for it again today so I'll try again tonight.

This was my second night in a row at Pussy House. Lots of chicas but nothing really hot. Checked out both floors both nights. Maybe I'm too picky but I thought El Castillo was way better talent.

Want to try Santa Fe again tonight but a little later after checking out a couple other Chapinero clubs.

The chicas (assuming they are chicas) in the two pics attached to this previous post, look much more appealing than what showed up in a few youtube videos. I'm guessing these are streetwalkers since the area seems fairly desolate. Now here is where I need some guidance. As in anywhere, streetwalkers pose health, safety and drug issues, so I'd gather that with all the other talent in Santa Fe, stay clear of streetwalkers. Not bad to look at though. Next question, how do they operate? Guess if you had a car, you could invite one in for a CBJ, but for the pedestrian crowd, where do you hook up? Is this where the "love motels" come into play? (Short term joints? How safe / clean are they? And what do they charge? Do you run the risk of running into trouble by going to one, such as getting jumped / mugged either in the room or leaving it? I wouldn't expect the Hilton or even a Motel 6 for that matter, but a bug infested mattress laying on a floor with a light bulb hanging from the ceiling, seems quite possible after looking at this neighborhood and Santa Fe in general. I know there are many other choices to pick from. Just gathering as much advance Intel as possible. Can't wait to see the "motherland" of Colombian beauties, as Puntz79 referred to the country! It's going to be like being a kid in a candy store I hope! LOL!

I know Sunday is very slow in Bogota, but where are the best bets for action? If I remember correctly Atunes is open in the afternoon and closes early, and a handful of other SF clubs are open. Are any of the clubs up on the north side open on Sunday?

Atunes does close earlier on Sunday, you can always check out the other clubs in the early evening hours. Places like Troya are Fiebre are hit or miss but I've seen Troya be packed on a Sunday night. El Castillo doesn't open until 8 PM but it can get busy as the night goes on and I generally find the talent there to be among the best looking in SF. Good looking though does not necessarily equate to good performance, keep that in mind. If you aren't able to get to Atunes you can always go for the MP's, some of which are open on Sundays. The mezzanine (near Hotel Dann Carlton) has good options although service is hit or miss.

Chapinero is fine, at night you just need to use common sense and carry yourself with some authority. Walk like you know where you're going. I'm not a Bogota expert and it takes a little bit of time to get used to knowing where you're going but what makes it easier is knowing where the mountains / hills are since Bogota is pretty much laid out like a long strip. North to south so it's not bad at all. If I ever think I missed a turn, which has of course happened, I'll walk into a convenience store or restaurant and pull out my phone in there if I just really need to see where I'm going. The less visibility, the better. I think you know the drill. I stayed in Zona Rosa, specifically at the Sofitel Bogota. Yes a more upscale place but I read it's chica-friendly (and it is) and there's a Bogota Beer Company right in the corner along with many other restaurants and bars / clubs. The talent in the clubs however was disappointing. Especially compared to Santa Fe, I almost got the impression that the clubs in Zona Rosa has much lower quality than Santa Fe girls. But, I could have missed out on places and my timing could have been off too.

I like Hypnotic and Carolina's in SXM for Colombian talent, there are some beautiful women there and I've had good experiences (especially Hypnotic). Just keep in mind though, you're going to the motherland. Where the talent is actually produced. GFE is probably more easier in SXM though, but you also pay much more in SXM. If you speak some Spanish then GFE shouldn't be much of an issue to obtain in Bogota, and there are of course many many more chicas. It's a very big city, so not surprising. Ibague looks close on a map, but it's not. About 4 hours by road, and Colombian women can be hit or miss on that. I have been in contact with a couple chicas from my time in SXM who are from Bogota or nearby, and I had promised them that I'd be in touch when I arrive. One trip to Santa Fe made me forget them.

Maybe I'll hit them up if I just really get bored and have run out of women to find, they were good lays and I had TLN with them a more than once. So maybe. .

Appreciate the feedback. Here's a bit more background on my trip and any members with experience, feel free to comment. I decided on staying at the Abitare 56 Hotel on Calle 56 near Avenue 7. Price seemed right and the website drew me in for a junior suite under 30 bucks a night. Not sure if the place is chica friendly, but I booked the room for 2. A couple of trips ago to SXM, I met a really sweet Colombian chica who I've been in contact with via facebook. We did a couple of TLN's while I was on the island. She actually hated working at Hypnotic and left the island early this past March just before I was to arrive on island for another visit. You can read the details on the SXM thread and see her pic there as well. Anyway, she intends to meet me at El Dorado airport and spend the majority of my time in Bogota with me, so when I check in the hotel, she very well could be with me. Not 100% sure if she will show. She's from Ibague which is fairly close to Bogota, and I still can't get an answer of what she's doing now that she's back in Colombia. If she shows, my visit to Santa Fe may not happen at all. I'm hoping she just spends the weekend with me and the couple of days before and after, I can check out the other talent in the city. But, she's sweet and has a killer body and wasn't a shark or a pro like some of the girls in Caroline's in SXM. So we shall see how this plays out. I can either be in heaven with this Latin lovely my entire trip, or in hell, trying to figure out an exit strategy to get her back home, after being with her 24 hrs. A day for a few days.

Assuming she's with me and based on where I'm staying I think there's a big disco called Theatron nearby. Heard it's primarily gay, but with a hot girl at my side and 9 dance floors, I've read that it's a happening place on the weekends and worth checking out. I've read about the Bogota Brewing Company as being a cool place as well. La Candelaria and the north part of Chapinero seem to have lots of nightlife, so may check those areas out as well.

I've gotten the lowdown on Santa Fe, but what about Chapinero? I'm guessing it "appears" safer than Santa Fe, but anything can happen anywhere, anytime. For example, read that if you want to walk up Monserrat, do so on the weekend when the trail is busy, not during the week. Seems that 11 pm Is the curfew for walking and if out after that have the club / bar call a cab.

Also, in the area of Chapinero, Avenue 15 between I'll guess Calle's 55 to 60, and probably in many other areas, trannies are all over the place. Not my thing, but appears that many of these Colombians are quite convincing in their appearance as being as hot as a real chica. I've figured out where to avoid in Santa Fe for this, but wonder about any areas in Chapinero that one should be cautious about. Especially if they are mixed in with normal chica hangouts.

Again, if my chica does show, I'm assuming she's pretty familiar with Bogota and I'll have a novia and tour guide all wrapped in one. She'll be able to handle the taxi and logistic and where to go and what to do issues. Guess I'll change some money at the airport and then look for the New York Money change booths in the shopping malls the day after I arrive. Guess I'll have to leave the shorts and swimwear at home, since Bogota is not St. Maarten! LOL! I'll share my experience upon my return!

From the pictures it sure looks like it. I do not know the stret numbers but there is a gas station. From there draw a line down the blocks. You want to stay to the side that is closest to the expressway. The street that gas station is on and everything to the otherside of it is tv zone.
